Most epl top teams will prefer to concentrate on winning epl and qualifying for the next ucl rather than getting distracted by a less-glamorous europa league. The schedule of epl fixtures has always been an issue for top sides in england as it always take its toll on those top sides.

Because they have great oppositions at home who actually play football.
When you play against teams like Athletico Madrid, FCBarcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao, Villareal;
And play against such great World Best players like Yours truly, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Pique, Ramos, Neymar, GriezMann,Bale, Koke,Arda Turan, Godin, certified more than platinum home and away, you tend to be at your best always.

Why are EPL teams failing in Europe?
No good opposition at home. When a league uses low-lifers like Stoke City as reference point of how tough a team is, and uses the likes of Underachievers like Arsenal to point to how to play good football, then you know something is amiss and it's deteriorating rapidly and faster than a Canon ball.
You can imagine someone opening his gut and spitting trash that there is a reason Messi has not scored against Chelsea. Apparently, Chelsea is the ultimate EPL team every other EPL club should look up to. Hurrah! And you still wonder why EPL is not doing so good aside home soil!

Yes, not every team attaches importance to europa league like sevilla and other laliga moribund teams. If i am a player of man utd, having tasted ucl nights before, i will devour two bottles of beer before those europa matches.

We have been reading these since way back. Even when liverpool came to sodomise barca at home. Ronaldo really exposed la liga as a weak league for a star player if you are in barca and madrid. Apart from the 3 teams and sevilla, valencia,villareal, other teams are like championship sides in quality.

Barca have played Man City 6 times in recent years won 5 lost 1
If I remember correctly, Messi has played EPL teams 15 times scored 17 goals, Didn they forget how to tackle him in those games?

Lol, Sebod and Dmcdad, I for one have never been part of the argument, however, its obvious to all that Man utd are enduring arguably their worst spell right now just as it was with Chelsea last year.

Arsenal is always up there as a top 4 team, we all know that, its not always easy for them to win the league, all this one they are doing na IGG, the real serious guys, serious contenders over the years are, I'll like to group them:

Tier 1
Chelsea
Man city
Man Utd (b4 Fergie left)

This season, truth be told, right now, it is like a 3-horse race between Man city, Pool and Chelsea, forget the other dead teams.


Tier 2
Arsenal
Spurs
Liverpool( a strong team too but its just not easy for them to win it even tho, they have been impressive this year though.)

A perfect example of why the EPL is crazy is Leicester winning the league last season against all odds, maybe the big guys were just average or Leicester really deserved it, that's another topic on its own, what I sha know is that, we are still waiting for when Deportivo or even Malaga will win the LaLiga, Liezpeg or Hoffeinheim will win the Bundesliga, Crotone or even Fiorentina will win the Serie A like fvccking Leicester won the EPL.

The match against Celtic in the UCL will give me another chance to examine the team again and decide if to still keep hope alive or just be prepared for the worst this season.

Over 90% of our players are not living up to expectation. Alba, Rakitic, Masch, Suarez, Neymar, Busi have all been having shaky performances here and there. Pique and Umtiti have agreed never to play together.

The next three games would determine what we should hope for this season.

Bykebyke is one of the few logical fans we have here! Why should we tolerate Neymar going to Brazil to deliver WC performances consistently, but returning to barca to play around? I don't even want to talk about Enrique. I guess he's not still cost us valuable points, I can only be costly points by the time we go 15 points off madrid!
