You see, turning down the party invitation has nothing to do with being introvert, but more to do with being timid or lacking of will. And that's not a good thing for your future self. If you do want to go to that party, nothing should stop you from going, exercising your freedom while there and not crossing the boundaries you've set for yourself. Bascially, living your life. And if what you want to do is to simply sit at home, then that's what you should just do and enjoy same while at it. Without feeling left out.

Just had to put that out there undecided
Gbam!

Sometimes when I attend a party or a get-together with friends, I do enjoy of them and sometimes exclaim; mehn, flexing dey sweet die! The next time you call me for such, I might just say I ain't going. Thing is, I wouldn't even give a heck and no form of regret whatsoever.

In recent times I have come to enjoy parties more. But then, I go to one in every 3 or 4. So, its a matter of choice and disposition at any point in time.

I wonder ooOOooo. I'd give anything to come back to this life as an introvert. I have absolutely no problem being one. All my friends complain daily about money, cos they spend recklessly at the clubs. I don't go to clubs much, and I like to keep my own money. Doesn't even come across to me like I'm not living. Really living my life to the fullest, doing my own things and spending my time on what I choose to, not on what I'm pressured to. Really don't have any apologies. Certainly with you on this.

One thing many of them don't realize is that: just as they wish they were extrovert enough to be the life of a party, there are a great many extroverts who wish they'd just be introvert enough to have quiet and to not have to be the life of a party.
This is spot on.

Bruv, to be frank with you, I love my life like no other. I posted something earlier on in response to someone's post. That, boredom is a non-existing word in my Dictionary. I have friends who call sometimes and tell me they wanna come around as they are bored. Then I ask myself; why don't I get bored too?

When I tell people I have never been to a club before, they say I am missing out. What the heck! Missing out on what? You have to figure out what makes you happy and do that as much as possible to always stay happy. Like you rightly stated, the person you wish to become more like could just be wishing they could be like you.

People need to see the positive side of things. Introversion is not a burden, neither is it a curse. Its a great blessing.

It's easy. I'm an introvert myself and I don't go around with a tag around my neck asking for help. They need to chill out, seriously.
I am with you on that bruv. I saw your earlier post and sincerely I had the intention of doing same before seeing yours.

It seems very many people think they are at lose for being introverts. Why is the reverse the case for me?

Just what i thought, let's create an introvert club/group preferably on whatsapp and call it THE INTROVERT'S LOUNGE it'll be a world of ours, people of like minds and temperament, no extroverts to make us jealous.

Just us feeling at home, sharing ideas and experiences, lending helping hands.

We are great persons with tremendous talents a combo of us will be explosive.
08176538870 thats my number if the group thing works out.
You need to change your perception bruv. No extrovert, I mean none will ever make me feel jealous. For what its worth, they should be the ones jealous of you and not the other way round. I could match them in many of their areas of strength. They could only match my areas of strength in their dreams. Well, maybe because I am more of a redeemed (to an extent) melancholy than just a regular one.

am funny, creative in writing, intelligent and more. Midst of my friends am an extrovert, they just can't get enough of me. But the fact that am way smaller than my age keeps me depressed, that awkward feeling wen u ar the smallest in ur clique of guys even when u are older than all of them. Thank God 4 nairaland where people like us can express ourselves discreetly.
Bro, I still maintain that, that shouldn't be an excuse to be depressed about. C'mon, I am 5 years younger than my age. Does that mean people look down on me? Nope! When I speak people marvel and wanna listen. My friends are mostly super-extroverts, and they are very funny guys to be with. I am very humourous myself albeit I am an introvert. Its all about keeping a balance.

Although I am not small per body stature. I am 6' tall, broad shoulders added to a great physique. Yet, I appear far younger than my age (looks). When I get to meet new people nowadays and tell them of my age, most doubt me. Infact, it seems everyone I come across now think I am 5-6 years younger as their guesses has always been off by 5-6 years. Does it worry me one bit? Not at all. On the contrary, it makes me feel great about myself. Where I convince people hook, line and sinker are areas that require mature views and experience in dealing with. Also, aside making fun and bringing about humour, I am a very serious and a no-nonsense individual.

Yours might be different, in the sense that you might be be small (stature-wise) but it still doesn't spoil anything to be honest. Just see the positive side of things. I feel great about myself and wouldn't trade myself for any other person. You need to see yourself this way, and people too will begin to see you in such light.

Hate the fact that i want to make friends, dance,be popular, walk up to girls and strike a convo and do so many things extroverts do but no guts, after rehearsing great lines i just stand there and watch the girl pass me by like i was bewitched. In all people think am funny, intelligent and cute. They prefer me online than in person. Major reason for my introverted nature is my stature.
You know you dont have to let your stature waiegh you down right? There is o excuse to feel downcasted or something... Always look at the positive side of things.

What is the aim sef? You don't unite people by force! If they did not wish to be there or be joined with some others and they are sent there against their will, they will only endure and disappear once they can so why the pretence? Nobody likes to leave their comfort zone unless for identified economic reasons. Not to talk of a place like Nigeria where corps members are easy targets because to a large extent those posted to the North are likely Southerners and Christians so some idiots will pick them off easily.

Youth service should be voluntary or graduates should be posted within their geopolitical zones so everyone stays in their areas. The choice to go outside one's zone should be a choice and not for cosmetic national unity. Imagine those that were killed in 2011! Where was the unity?
Spot on.

How about his NT? Honestly Coded, make we talk true, how many NT sides get players like Belgium? Even at that, him no be their NT hero. KDB and even yeye Fellaini are comfortably better than him in the NT. So this is not a case of Barca or no Barca.

Truth be told, Brazil without Neymar is shiit. Little wonder they got whitewashed in the World Cup by Germany and Netherland.

Another person also said Messi hasn't scored since the beginning of the season. I'll forgive the person because he/she probably had too much to drink.

Homesteady are you reading what I am reading? Now someone said Drogba is better because he scored more important goals especially in FA and Champions League finals, while Henry did with mostly EPl games. Can you not see that they are even shooting themselves in the foot with this same argument used in the Neymar-Hazard case?

Well... Even upon realising this, these people would be adamant.

I really detest it when people try to shift the goalpost just to favour their course. Talking from both sides of one's mouth aint a good thing.

If Mourinho would complain about Hazard's invisibility in the season thus far, and Wilmot did same just some days ago, then I think its time to case my rest.

Nuff said already.
