Austeenx: well, let's keep our fingers crossed. Abi... Let's be hopeful. |
Austeenx: Enough of the world cup already. 2018 is just by the corner[sort of]Exactly what I look up to. In as much as Messi remains the boss without questions, I wouldn't want a case where the rest of em (Ney&Suárez) would be more like bystanders. They should be given freedom also (at least to an extent & obviously not total freedom like Messi) so they can perform their own moments of brilliance when the occasion calls for it. |

coded01: I don't expect you to agree with him as far as you aren't playing football...Does that mean all Maradona has been saying are correct because he played football? C'mon! If because playing football makes them correct all the time, then why do they need a coach especially since many/some of them never played football themselves. It's okay if you wanna disagree with what I stated, but please don't say it's because I don't play football. Playing gives experience without an iota of doubt, but being a player doesn't mean everything you say at every point in time as regards football are correct. We know how players can be on the defensive whenever things don't go their way, so I guess it's no news that he gave such an excuse. If the chances they squandered were converted, would he have been out to say this? CS is all that is needed to decipher it. |
lefulefu: an average black woman dey forbid to do excercise.na only oyibo girls dey take excercise seriously.na how many times u don see a nigerian babe dey jog early in the morning?Lol... See keh. Jogging na food? As long as no be food or recharge card/subscription, count them out. |
coded01: Messi: Argentina strikers missed chancesAs much as I cherish and adore Messi, I no gree for that him excuse ooooo. Netherland played Brazil having the same 1-day rest. And what happened? Was the 24 hours difference the reason they failed to convert their chances? Not at all! They tried, and the World recognises that, but I no wan hear that excuse at all. |

AjanleKoko: But seriously now. It seems like Messi is kinda done. He just takes strolls all the time now.You are right bruv... Now it seems confirmed that that explosion like you stated is no longer there. What keeps him going now is the genius in him. I thought it was a case of him looking forward to the World Cup. I could remember vividly I did complain about this at different times during last season, but the thought at such times were "he was saving himself for the World Cup". Well, I think it's glaring now that he wasn't saving himself then, but was just less explosive than normal. In such regards, the best thing or role he will play for us now is an AM role. Or any other suitable roles as long as it's not the false 9 role. Maybe the guy who said Messi is no longer passionate about football/playing is partially right. Who knows...? |
claireshan: not really but I tried my best to haveEhya... Sowie about that. We are in it together. Now is just to look ahead and hope the new season is as bright as one would expect. |
logica: The worst part is, if it wasn't for this clown Messi may even already have won the World Cup in 2010.Chai! Maradona ruined everything in 2010. He got everything wrong. The fact that this is the first match Messi lost since being made the captain aside the loss against Uruguay which he did not take part in means alot. They have been better since Maradona the joker left. That guy and him colleague Pelé need some rest abeg. |
Austeenx: Golden glove: Manuel Neuer(GER) |
logica: Maradona should shut up. He was lucky he had Valdano and Burruchaga. Not to talk of the heroics of Jose Brown. Or has he convinced himself he did it alone in 1986?Maradona is a clown. Simple! |
logica: I think he should just stick to what he does best: modeling. |
AjanleKoko: I thought the Golden Ball voting is based on the number of MOTMs won.Let them cry foul... What else did you expect? You expect Messi haterz/Penaldo fanboiz to come and start giving him a round-of-applause? They have done worse, haven't they? |
ddippset: couldn't have spoken better. WORLD CUP- 6 matches in 4 years. Club football- 240 matches in 4 years. It's madness to suggest that a footballer's greatness is solely based on a world cup. Even if it were, with a world cup silver medal, a world cup golden ball, to go with the biggest success ever in the history of club football, messi is up there with pele and diego. The argies should be proud- a silver medal after 24 years.God bless you bruv... The problem is; tge haterz will never appreciate this fact. And most of them are Penaldo fan kids. Where was their idol during the just concluded World Cup? |
claireshan: WatsupI'm good my dear... How about you? I hope you doing great and had a lovely night rest despite the odds. |
claireshan: It all GoodMy dear, it's all good jare. Life goes on... |
ddippset: sorry to say and pardon me but this is stvpidity being taken to a higher level. are goals supposed to be counted to determine a player's performance? na wa o! make una dey use una heads na!You wan blame them? Some of them started watching football some three seasons ago. What then do you expect? |
We can't always have it all, can we? I wonder how it was possible to get to the World Cup final with such mediocre players. Argentina should be proud of themselves for making this outstanding feat. As disappointing as it may seem that they didn't end up with the trophy, which is the ultimate goal of the World Cup. Yet, it should be noted that the Argentines gave their all till the last. And Messi? He may mever win the World Cup most likely, but that doesn't undermine the fact that he is and will always be arguably the greatest player that has ever graced the football pitch. Sorry Argentina, sorry Messi. You did lose the war after winning so many battles, yet I would say affirmatively that it was an honourable loss. You lost with your heads up high. So many people did predict a whitewash, but were disappointed. We can't always have everything we crave for in life. It's a reality we all need to embrace. Alfredo de Stefano didn't win the World Cup, infact he didn't play in one. Yet, he is recognised today as one of the greatest. And for many, he is the greatest. How about someone who played the World Cup, helped his team get to the final, and won the Golden Ball albeit not winning the ultimate price. I don't think that made him less greater than his rivals when it comes to declaring who the greatest of all-time is. Besides, who cares if he is crowned the greatest? It's relative afterall. For many, it's Maradona, for FIFA, it's Pelé, and for some others, Alfredo, and at this juncture, for a vast majority also, it's Messi. So you see? It's highly relative. But they have something in common, they are great players with extra - ordinary talents. Long-live football. Forcá Messi. |
ddippset: like i said before, i predicted correctly all the second round, quarter final, and semi final fixtures but one. i only failed the germany - brazil match, and i aint no cortana.Hehehehehe... The Octopus himself. Cortana kor, Siri ni.... ![]() |
homesteady: I knew this cortana nonsense is just an opportunist! You should have known better that it's not worth it at all. How would I put my faith on an AI assistant that uses Bing with a series of algorithms to guess or predict as you would put it a football outcome? Like you rightly stated, she's just an opportunist. |

^^^^ Kai! Everybody don really tire for Busquet. Hehehehehe. |
philfearon: True talk jare....No be lie bruv... |
claireshan: morning chores,,, but am strong nowI'm glad about that... ![]() |
claireshan: yawnsLazy to do what please? |
bykebyke: Lol..Abeqi..Na una two know!!Ohh! You don tire? Lol. You never see anything yet. Cool down dey drink panadol for headache wey no concern you. Chai! You go like quarrel pass fight ooooo. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
philfearon: it pains me shaa...Truth is,we bought Sanchez more than €40m...it was just underreported...Well... You are right I would say, but the thing is; the players they are going for are not readily available. Now ypu would say how about Rakitić, Suárez and the likes...But the reality is, these players were readily available at least to an extent. As for Suárez, LFC decided to come to the table when he (Suárez) made it known he would love to leave, plus the fact that Barca almost matched his buy-out clause. The defenders they have been going for haven't turned out so easy I would easy. Marquinhos can't even make an open request to leave the club because he is afraid of losing any chance of playing at all if the deal doesn't pull through. Needless to state that PSG are not even dreaming of doing business. As for Mathieu, he already made it known he wants to leave, but Valencia arw adamant that his buy-out clause must be met which I guess is €20m. Barca are pricing it down to either €10m or €15m considering his age. On a personal note I would have preferred Miranda to Mathieu and they cost around the same amount (€20m) As of late, I think they have been trying to weigh in other options on ground with the likes of Hummels et al. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and see how it goes.

ddippset: my simple point is this; if you do not go to the market to buy fresh vegetables @ sunrise, you'd be left with reminants @ sunset, but i agree with you, everyone still ends up with vegetables.Na wa ooooo. This your analogy no be here oooooo. ![]() ![]() |
onuwaje: Let's not forget he won't b training till november oBarca wanna ask if he can be training at the Cuitat Expotiva de Joan Gamper since its not a stadium but just a training ground. If that's the case, then we would have less to worry about because that is actually where the first team trains. Let's just wait and see how things unfold. |
ddippset: why was suarez prioritized over cuadrado or any quality CB? even with messi, neymar, sanchez, we re very good, so what we needed firstly was a CB. or are we going to haggle in the transfer market like we want to buy melon while other clubs wait for us like God gave us the divine right to sign cuadrado and co whenever we wanted? that cuadrado guy, if we dont treat him like we did suarez, someone else will buy him. this feet dragging isnt good at all.Does it matter which comes first? I thought the paramount thing is to bring in players for every positions we are falling short. Whether a keeper is the last and a defender first shouldn't be the issue, what really matters is for us to make the necessary signings using the stipulated time-frame made for signings. My point is; as anxious as we all are as regards getting quality CBs in our ranks, let's pipe down a little as the transfer window is as long as trekking from Lagos to Kaduna. |
