ddippset: mascherano surely has got attitude. But he shouldn't be in the first team. Not at CB and not at DM cus it's busquets over him. He should just be a cover up for both DM and CB. He can't be captain. I am very sure it will be iniesta or pique.

Just so you know... They don't elect one or two players as captains, do they? I never said he would get the advantage over Iniesta or Piqué. I said I know he would be among. Maybe the third or fourth captain.

Piqué doesn't deserve to be a captain please! What are the qualities you see in him in relation to being a captain? For me, the first two captains should be Iniesta and Messi in whatever order, I won't really care about that. The rest can follow (that is, the 3rd anf 4th captains), I don't care who the 3rd and 4th captains are. I just want either of Iniesta or Messi to be the number one captain and the other the vice.

Both of them are good. I would love Ter Stegen to have more playing time in order to build him well for the future. But sincerely, Bravo has got the edge as he has been with Sociedad for a period of 8 years, which can be translated to an enormous La Liga experience.

I guess maybe they will just have to fight it out.

Exactly what I feel too. At some points or the other, even legends should give way to fresh legs. As far as Chelsea is concerned, Drogba, Lampard, and Ashley Cole are club legends, but there was still need for them to give way to younger players and move ahead in life. Being a club legend isn't necessarily a yardstick to end your playing career at the club. Afterall, Raul left Madrid after giving his life for the club and vice-versa, just as Casillas would probably do this season with recent reports that Madrid wanna let him as well as Lopez to go while they bring in Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla.

Is Alves more a club legend than Ronaldinho was?

There are two guys I can't ever imagine being captains in this team; Piqué and Busquet. They lack the necessary attitudes and characters of captains. Infact, Busquet is the least for me.

I personally agree with Enrique that captaincy shouldn't be about the length of stay or who is the best footballer on the pitch. I think it's more about having the right attitude and composure in steering the team in the right direction. Little wonder he made mention of Mascherano. His attitude and the passion he has can never be overemphasised.

ddippset: I don't interprete it as captaincy. He will remain the main player and the hub of the team like he has been for the past 5 years even with puyol as captain. I think iniesta will be captain.

Anyways Pinto is hoping to renew his contract so as to become the 1st choice according to media report but i don't think a 38yrs old is what barca needs as our 1st choice, not even as a second choice.

I never argued. I only stated the obvious. You said we were going to get 2goal keepers. I responded that its just Ter Stegen if they choose to renew Pinto's contract (which is already on the horizon).
