“When I become President... all the Ministers of State in my Cabinet will be experienced young people who are under the age of 35.
Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has expressed gratitude to some young Nigerians who donated N40 million to purchase his presidential nomination form.
Mr Saraki says this gesture has motivated him to ‘fight twice as hard’ as he planned to realise his ambition.

“Last night, I was truly touched by the gesture of the young professionals convened by Abubakar Danmusa, who helped to raise the N40 million for my Presidential Expression of Interest Form and my Nomination Form.

“These young people, who went out of their way to rally their friends, family and coworkers, made contributions of N500,000 to N2 million to reach their desired goal.

This symbolic gesture, a first of its kind in the history of our nation, is also a challenge to me. Now, I promise to work twice as hard as I originally intended.

“I promise to meet the yearning and aspirations of all our young people to run a modern government that can achieve sustainable development,” Mr Saraki said in a statement released on his Facebook wall.

In a tweet, Saraki also promised to make sure all his Minister of State are youths.

“As it stands, this is a clarion call. This is why, I make this promise — not out of politics or propaganda— but out of the fervent belief that young people have a role to play in the development of our nation:

“When I become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 29th of May 2023, all the Ministers of State in my Cabinet will be experienced young people who are under the age of 35.

“Yes, we have our work cut out for us. But the battle to #FixNigeria has just started!” He added.


Saraki was previously the Governor of Kwara State from 2003 to 2011; and was elected to the Senate in 2011, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District, and then re-elected in the 2015 general elections under the party of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He left the ruling party, (APC) and returned to his former party (PDP) Where he became the opposition leader, on 31 July 2018.

Saraki declared his presidential campaign for the PDP presidential ticket in the 2019 election, but lost the primaries to Atiku Abubakar. He was subsequently announced as the director general of Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign for the 2019 presidential election, which he lost to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile the PDP has maintained that northerners seeking to become president have the right to do so.

As a soldier, i would resign if they post me to go fight boko haram cos i know that order is a selling out order.

Carrying out an order to go fight boko haram is a suicide mission cos they have advantage over you.

Boko haram have political back up.
They have location advantage cos you are going to their home.

They also have advantage cos they receive information on the whereabouts of soldiers coming to their location, so they know ambush soldiers from. And this information comes from inside the military.

If you can't go against the orders why not resign and save your life?

Since they know some govt officials are sponsoring the boko haram of a thing, why don't they resign?

Lemme answer the simple question by myself.

They won't resign cos of the small power military has given them over civilians. They are so carried away by that power hence they won't want to resign.

See this movie EYES IN THE SKY and see how an American soldier disapproved the order of his superior directing him to bomb a building filled with terrorist. He refused because a little girl was selling bread near the building and the blast would affect her. He told his superiors if they didn't find a way to move the girl from that building he won't fire that missile.

Now this is a jst a movie but we all knw an American soldier can do that in reality. Another movie where something similar happened is SNIPER; GHOST SHOOTER.

Our Nigerian recruit soldiers carry out orders without questioning their superiors. If the orders seem manipulated, resign and face another hustle but they choose death cos of little "POWER" military has given them over civilians.

Yoruba Nation campaigner, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, famously known as Igboho, has prayed for prevention of war in the world.

Igboho said this in a video on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, two days after his release from incarceration.

As seen in the video, Igboho was airing his views on the war between Ukraine and Russia.

The activist prayed that the ongoing crisis doesn't degenerate into a full blown world war.

“Let’s hope that this Ukraine crisis won’t lead to a third world war. May God not let us witness war in the world,” Igboho said.

Igboho, who spent eight months in a Benin prison, regained freedom on Monday, March 7, 2022.

His lawyer, however, revealed that his release was conditioner as he's not expected to go anywhere beyond the shores of the Francophone country.

Igboho fled Nigeria in July 2021, after operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), raided his Ibadan residence where they arrested and detained 13 of Igboho’s associates. Two of Igboho’s supporters, identified as Adogan and Alfa, lost their lives during the raid.

The DSS also alleged that seven AK-47 rifles were recovered during the raid on his Soka residence on July 1, as well as three pump-action guns, 30 fully charged AK-47 magazines, 5,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, five cutlasses, one jack-knife, one pen knife, two pistol holsters, a pair of binoculars, a wallet containing $5, local and international driving licences in his name, ATM cards, a German residence permit No. YO2N6K1NY bearing his name, two whistles, 50 cartridges and 18 walkie-talkies.
Others were three charm jackets/traditional body armour, two laptops, one Toshiba and one Compaq laptop, Igboho’s passport and those of his aides.

The DSS had accused Igboho and his associates of planning to unleash violent insurrection against the Nigerian state.

The activist escaped to Benin along with his wife, Ropo where they were both arrested by the country's authorities while trying to board a plane to Germany.

Ropo was released shortly after but her husband was detained in Cotonou on allegations of “criminal association”.
