A 23-year-old lady who got tired of trying to get the perfect boobs decided to embrace and unapologetically flaunt what people might have seen as a flaw.

Chidera Eggerue who had earlier considered getting a cosmetic surgery once she is 18 and had gotten a job, however, changed her mind and launched a social media campaign with the hashtag #SaggyBoobsMatter instead.

Her campaign is geared towards making people embrace their flaws and stop seeking unnatural body aims.

The award-winning blogger has hundreds of photos of herself without bras to prove a point that beauty goes beyond one's physique.

Eggerue sees the shaming of saggy boobs as a vicious cycle: “Saggy boobs are underrepresented. Being underrepresented makes you feel alien to society. This fosters insecurities in people who don’t have the mental strength to see value in themselves beyond other people’s standards.

“A lack of representation of saggy-looking boobs when I used to go bra shopping in M&S [as a young teenager] made me realise that something is wrong with the way the world views women’s bodies."

The Nigeria Police have returned the mace snatched by suspected thugs from the Senate chamber on Wednesday.

A Deputy Inspector General of Police yet to be identified, at about 11:45am, handed over the mace to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, who in return took it into the Senate chamber.

The Senate has been in a closed session since 11:07 am.

Recall that the police teams said they engaged in massive raids of identified criminal spots/flashpoints, stop and search operations, visibility and confidence-building patrols, intelligence gathering which forced the suspected miscreants to abandon the mace at a point under the flyover before the City Gate.

According to them, it was a patriotic passer-by that alerted the police after seeing the mace where it was dumped.

Palpable panic has gripped residents of Abuja as police officers on Tuesday clashed with suspected Shiites protesters again.

This is coming barely one day after a similar incident at Maitama axis of the Federal Capital Territory.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that police vehicles were seen chasing the protesters who in turn hurled stones and other objects at them.

The security agents are reported to have teargassed the protesters, thereby causing panic among residents.

Channels Television confirmed that the clash occurred close to the Wuse market area of the capital.

About 115 Shiites were arrested on Monday after police and Shiite protesters clashed near Unity Park and Transcorp Hilton Hotel.

In a viral video, the police officers were seen teargassing the protesters, as the protesters in return hurled stones at the police patrol vehicles.

Members of the Islamic movement are demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who has been kept in custody since2015.

A man allegedly beat his mother to death after a self-proclaimed prophet informed him that she was a witch and responsible for all his woes.

The incident took place on Friday in at Nsit Ubium Community in Akwa Ibom State.
Some angry youths in the community were said to have accosted the man who is yet to be identified.

This is one out of the many similar cases where people are victimized after being branded witches and wizards by some self-acclaimed 'men of God'.
It is not clear if the man has been officially arrested, but it is hoped that the police would step in and conduct an investigation to decipher more mystery behind the incident.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased woman has been evacuated from the scene to a nearby mortuary.

A final-year Arts student has met her untimely death after her cloth caught fire during church prayers for success in her West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

Eighteen-year-old Efua Asantewa of the Mozano Senior High School in the Central Region Portia Donkor, Ghana, was taken to church by her mother for prayers to aid her success in then ongoing WASSCE, but things went sour for the girl.

Efua Eguama, the 45-year-old prophetess and leader of the African Faith Church at Breman Bedum whose church the girl ’s family had visited, is said to have poured oil on the girl in the course of the church service.

She is said to have lit a candle and given to the girl to hold as part of the ‘fortification’ process to help her pass her exams.

The cloth of the student, however, caught fire in the process, causing her to suffer severe burns.

She was rushed to the Breman Asikuma hospital when the fire could not be readily quenched and was later transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where she passed on.

The Police have since arrested the prophetess and she will be arraigned in court on Monday, on the provisional charge of murder.

The Breman Asikuma District Police Commander, ASP Emmanuel Donkor Baah, confirmed the incident.

A Sharia court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, on Monday ordered that one Shuaibu Umar be given 80 strokes of cane for calling his sister-in-law, Suwaiba Abdulkadir, a prostitute.

Abdulkadir, who had filed a case of defamation against her brother-in-law, told the court that Umar called her a prostitute after a misunderstanding they had.

“Shuaibu is my husband’s younger brother and we had a misunderstanding; we exchanged words and he called me a prostitute.

“I want this honourable court to grant me justice, as what my brother-in-law said about me has tarnished my image,’’ she said.

The defendant, who did not deny calling his sister-in-law a prostitute, added that he spoke in anger and had no regrets.

“I was hurt when she called me a drug addict and a thief; that was why I called her a prostitute and I won’t go back on my words,’’ he said.

The judge, Mallam Dahiru Lawal, ruled that Umar be given 80 lashes of cane after giving him a chance to withdraw his statement, which he refused to do.

“The defendant confirmed calling his sister-in-law a prostitute and is not ready to withdraw the statement; therefore, I, Dahiru Lawal, rule that Shuaibu Umar be given 80 strokes of cane.

“This is in accordance with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad which state that one cannot accuse a person of adultery or fornication except he presents four witnesses who have seen the activity.

“He is to receive 80 strokes of cane in place of the person he accused because he has defamed the person’s character,’’ the judge ruled.

Confusion gripped people as a student of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State, who was identified as Akintunde Adegunloye was reportedly found dead in his friend’s room on the premises of the State Specialists Hospital, Ondo town, Ondo State.

The Ondo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, said the deceased left his school in Ekiti State to visit two of his friends who were pharmacists and members of the National Youth Service Corps, serving in the government-owned hospital in Ondo.

Joseph further explained that the cause of the death of the deceased was yet unknown to the police.

According to him, the police have commenced an investigation to unravel the cause of the incident.

The police mouthpiece said: “The deceased paid his friends a visit in Ondo, the friends were corps members pharmacists who are serving at the hospital. We learnt that the friends got home on that fateful day and found him (deceased ) dead in the room.

“We have invited the two corps members and as I am speaking with you they are still with us, we are interrogating them on the matter.”

According to him, the father of the deceased had informed the command that the family was not interested in going to court over the matter and the corpse would be released to them for burial.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has said that all necessary documents required from prospective corps members, both foreign and local graduates, must be presented before camp registration for the 2018 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course.

In a Tweet posted via its official Twitter handle, the NYSC noted that prospective corps members must, therefore, take note of all required documents and make adequate preparation ahead of the commencement of orientation course.

It said those who studied in the country should bring to their respective camps their degree or HND certificates or statement of results and a personal Identity Card (ID) from the institution of graduation.

Additionally, it said foreign graduates should endeavour to bring for verification, original copies of all their uploaded credentials and travel documents including international passport.

According to the scheme, foreign graduates must ensure that academic papers in languages other than English must be translated into English accordingly and both versions presented for verification at the camp.

While a lot of people in our clime feel so disgusted at the mention of a cockroach, scientists are trying everything possible to decipher the medical use of the organisms.

Scientists are going the extra mile to breed them while they take a close look at cockroaches to explore their potential in medical treatment.

A current research led by Li Sheng, director of the Institute of Insect Science and Technology at South China Normal University in Guangzhou City focuses on the genetic code of the American cockroach.

According to Li, a cockroach has as many as 522 taste receptors, 329 of which have evolved into bitter receptors that respond to poisonous foods.

Li said: “They eat almost everything. They can do self-detoxification if they eat the wrong food.

“Even if it is beheaded, its body can still move for five or six days. If you cut its legs or antennae off, they will recover in just a few days and look almost the same as before.

He suggested that the factor in the body of cockroaches that helps them heal wounds and regenerate tissue might also be effective in repairing wounds to the human body.

The team’s research paper, “The genomic and functional landscapes of developmental plasticity in the American cockroach,” was published online in Nature Communications on March 21.

According to Li, cockroaches are an ingredient in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Extracts of active ingredients from cockroaches have also been used in modern Chinese clinics for more than 30 years, mainly to treat diseases such as gastric and oral ulcers.

Li said his team’s research suggests possibilities for wider medical use of the American cockroach.

He said: “The extracts could even be used to make beauty masks and treat hair loss in the future.”

Meanwhile, there are cockroaches that are farmed in a healthy environment and they do not frequent the sewers like the ones we come across every day here.

A study conducted by the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science discovered powerful antibiotic properties in the brains of cockroaches, which would help treat multi-drug resistant bacterial infections.

According to the study, the tissues of the brain and nervous system of the cockroach can kill more than 90% of MRSA and pathogenic Escherichia coli, without harming human cells.

Liu Yusheng, a professor at the Shandong Agricultural university and the head of Shandong province’s Insect Association, said that the cockroaches are a miracle drug.

“They can cure a number of ailments and they work much faster than other medicine,” Yusheng said.

Not only are the cockroaches consumed, but a cream made from powdered cockroaches is used in some hospitals in China and Korea to treat burns and other facial injuries, he said.

In China, people eat their cockroaches toasted, fried, sautéed, or boiled.

Jennifer said: "After my nose job I wanted to do something really nice, I wanted to show my body completely.

"It was very sexy, very amazing and using great colours that overall enhanced my confidence.

"I was five kilos (11lb) heavier too, I was not fat but a little curvier and felt very confident within myself.

"I don't like to be skinny, when I'm too skinny I don't feel great because I like bodies with curves and was very happy with all my results.

A video of a wild elephant in India exhaling ashes has stumped experts worldwide as it is the first document of what appears to be a pachyderm “smoking”.

The video was shot in 2016 by Vinay Kumar, a scientist from the Indian branch of the Wildlife Conservation Society, in Karnataka state’s Nagarhole Forest, but released recently “after experts realized its biological significance.”

In the video, the female elephant, standing near a carpet of charcoal from a burnt forest floor, seemingly ingests
the charcoal.

It then exhales the ashes which appear as puffs of smoke before walking away.

“This incredibly unusual behaviour of the elephant blowing out ashes is puzzling the scientific community.

“Nobody is quite sure what is going on,” Kumar told dpa on Tuesday by phone.

An elephant biologist with WCS, Varun Goswami, said he believed the elephant was ingesting the charcoal, which
has toxin-binding properties and can serve as a laxative, for medicinal reasons.

WCS said the video is the first known video documentation of a wild elephant exhibiting such behaviour.

“The video has taken the internet by storm, going viral on social media sites, and is being shared by international
wildlife agencies,” Kumar said.

Charcoal consumption has never before been observed in elephants, although monkeys in Zanzibar have been known to do it to counteract toxins.

Charcoal ash has traditionally been used for dental hygiene in India. “After the video was circulated, there was
also this speculation that the elephant was trying to cure a toothache,” Kumar said.

The whistleblower at the heart of the Facebook privacy scandal on Tuesday revealed to the British parliament that an Israeli intelligence gathering firm, Black Cube was involved in a hacking scheme targeting President Muhammadu Buhari.

Christopher Wylie has alleged that Cambridge Analytica harvested details of 50 million Facebook users and used the material in US President Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign by micro-targeting users with campaign material.

Wylie who was the company’s former research director, testified before a House of Commons committee investigating the misuse of Facebook user data, revealing some of the other the shadowy activities the company was linked to.

“The company utilized the services of an Israeli private intelligence firm, Black Cube,” Wylie told lawmakers according to reports in British media.

He said the Tel Aviv-based company was hired to “hack the now-president Muhammadu Buhari to get access to his medical records and private emails.”



According to Wiley, Cambridge Analytica also contracted its subsidiary company, AggregateIQ, to use the data obtained by Black Cube to spread anti-Muslim videos on Facebook in an effort to damage Buhari’s presidential campaign.

Buhari was elected as the president of Nigeria following his success at the 2015 polls despite the alleged smear campaign against him.

Wiley indicated that Cambridge Analytica sought to influence elections in other developing countries on a regular basis, with little to no concern for local or international law.

“They could care less as to whether or not their work is compliant because they like to win,” he said.

But election rigging was not particularly profitable, so, Wiley said, Cambridge Analytica made its real money by introducing top government officials to African businessmen in what he dubbed a “privatized colonizing operation.”

The Federal Government has fired back at the major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over its recent apology to Nigerians.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, dared the party to show the genuineness of its apology through a discernible change of attitude and by returning all the funds looted from the public treasury during its 16 years in power.

He said: ”The PDP presided over an unprecedented looting of the public treasury, perhaps the worst of its kind in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world.

“Therefore, the best evidence of penitence for such a party is not just to own up and apologise, but to also return the looted funds as anything short of that is mere deceit.

The minister said with the paucity of funds, the administration had spent an unprecedented amount of money on infrastructural development and Social Investment Programme, among others.

He added that returning looted funds would provide more money for the programmes and make life more meaningful for Nigerians.

Mohammed also reminded the PDP of the quote: ”If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging,” saying it applies to the PDP at this time.

An enraged Nigeria father, has out of anger, cut off the leg of a young man who was alleged to have defiled his baby in a community in Edo state.

The man who was reportedly caught while inserting his finger into a 6-month-old baby’s private part in Edo state, has landed himself in a hospital, after the baby’s father cut off his leg with a machete.

According to a Facebook user, Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, who shared the story online, the father was arrested for taking laws into his hand, and charged for causing ‘Grievous Harm‘.

The man reportedly revealed at the station that he cut off the leg out of annoyance.

He said he wants to withdraw the charge (Defilement) against the man to regain his freedom.

Immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday, said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo lied over claims that his administration embezzled some funds a few weeks to the 2015 general elections.

Jonathan’s reaction was contained in a statement by his former spokesperson, Reno Omokri.

Osinbajo had on Monday claimed that N100 billion and a separate $289 million were embezzled by officials of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, a few weeks to the 2015 elections.

He made the claims during a speech at the 7th Quarterly Business Forum (QBF) held at the State House, Abuja while insisting that the past administration played a huge role in the economic woes bedevilling the country.

He also alleged that the strategic alliance contracts signed by Jonathan’s government with the NNPC and NDPC were used to embezzle money by the promoters.



But on Tuesday, Omokri challenged Osinbajo to publish evidence that the former president shared the alleged amount before the election.

He also accused Osinbajo of repeatedly lying, saying the “vice-president has again surrendered his lips to Satan to be used to spread slander and lies”.

“Nigerians may recall that lying is the most consistent achievement of Professor Osinbajo’s almost three years as vice-president,” he said.

“On this most recent allegation by vice-president Osinbajo, let me state categorically that former President Jonathan did not share 150 billion two weeks to the 2015 election.

“If professor Osinbajo has proof that former President Jonathan did so, then we challenge him to publish his proof. He is a professor of law and ought to know that he who alleges must prove.

A 31-year-old woman has narrated how she was sexually assaulted by a man inside an airplane toilet.

The violated married mother, Aubrey Lane, from Colorado, insists she wants the man to be arrested by authorities.

According to her, the man assaulted her while on a red-eye flight from Phoenix to New York.

Narrating her ordeal, the woman said: “My first thought was this guy’s drunk. He was super chatty.

“I’ve flown a lot. I’m used to people saying hello. This is the most anyone has sat down and started talking to me.”



Even though the man seemed drunk, Lane said flight attendants continued to serve him alcohol throughout the flight.

A few hours into it, she got up to use the bathroom. She said the man got up and followed her into the bathroom where he raped her.

Lane said she immediately reported the incident to the flight attendants who moved her to a seat at the back of the plane.

“I was feeling overwhelmed,” she said. “All of a sudden, I was thrown in a middle seat, bawling. On top of being sad and hurt and scared, I was also embarrassed.”

The peaceful atmosphere in Mgbakwu, in the Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State was disturbed over the weekend after a woman hanged herself out of sheer frustration.

The 66-year-old mother of two unemployed graduates, identified as Uzoaku reportedly complained to some people that she was angry that her two children, who graduated some years back, had not got any job.

One of the villagers identified as Uche Aniuno, said: “I saw her about four days ago. She expressed bitterness over the unemployment situation of her two children who graduated some years back. But I didn’t know that could lead her to this situation.

“She was a hard-working woman and I won’t say she was poor. One of her daughters is married with children. We are all surprised that she ended this way.”

A love-struck husband who wanted to make their wedding anniversary count donated his kidney to his sick wife as anniversary gift.

Cesar and Monica Calle celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Thursday in Florida.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the couple commemorated their anniversary in style at Memorial Regional Hospital’s newly opened Transplant Institute, where some 30 nurses, doctors and medical staff removed Cesar’s kidney and sewed it inside his wife.

Visibly elated Monica said: “It’s kind of like winning the lottery."

For more than two years, Monica has been tethered to a dialysis machine for eight-and-a-half hours every day.



“I would connect myself to a machine every night. My cut-off time was 9:30,” she said.

Somehow, she managed to work full-time at the same hospital where she would have her transplant surgery.

The couple has three children.

Monica inherited her kidney disease from her mother, who was also a transplant recipient.

The hope of nine Nigerian youths and a national of Niger Republic for greener pastures in Europe through vessels was dashed after they were arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The suspects were said to have been assisted into the vessels by some fishermen who paddled them on local boats before getting them aboard the ships.

The Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos Seaports and Marine Command, Modupe Anyalechi, said five of the suspects were discovered inside the rudder truck of MV MSC PAOLA by some immigration officers who rummaged the vessel at fairway buoy, around six nautical miles to finger jetty, Apapa Port.

The other five, according to her, were caught on board of MV MAERSK CHANNIA by some naval officers, who handed them over to the NIS.

She said the suspects were, however, unaware that most of the vessels only plied waterways of West African countries and the Gulf of Guinea.

An 11-year-old house help, allegedly killed her madam's five-year-old son by stabbing and strangulation.

The accused was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Friday.

She was brought before the court on a charge for murder.

Her plea was not taken.

A highly brilliant dad has come up with an innovative parenting hack to breastfeed his fussy little daughter while his wife was away at work.

31-year-old Chef Anthony Favours, from Buffalo, New York, has captivated parents around the world with a trick that soothed his 10-month-old daughter Lily’ahna.

The father of five said he and his 25-year-old beautician wife Shalanda – who are also parents to Anthony Jr., 2, Josiya, 5, Savanna, 6, and Camiya, 9 – were having trouble figuring out how to feed their fussy baby girl when the dad was taking care of the kids at home, because Lily’ahna has breastfed since birth and would ‘always cry’ when given a bottle.



But when his baby daughter was five months old, Anthony said he finally had enough of her refusing the bottle and ‘screaming the house down’ when his wife was at work.



So he devised the genius plan of cutting a small hole in his shirt and poking the teat of a bottle filled with his wife’s breast milk through the gap to create a ‘functional boob’.



He said: "I’ve always had trouble feeding Lily’ahna because she is a very fussy baby.

"She would always just want her mum’s boob because it really soothed her.

"I’d always feel so useless and wished there was something I could do to help.



"When I was taking care of her, she’d constantly be grabbing my chest and just shook her head at the bottle.

"I would tell her “I’m sorry baby, I don’t have milk in there. It made me laugh.



"But she would get so frustrated and start crying, thinking that I was holding out on her.

"One day I just had enough and had to think of a quick solution when Sholanda was at work.



"The idea just came to me. I cut a hole in my shirt and stuck the top of the bottle through.

"My wife couldn’t believe that I actually cut up an expensive shirt.

"But that wasn’t on my mind at the time. All I cared about was my baby."

Anthony said that his daughter was ‘really confused’ at first, but as he poured some milk out she realised what it was and started drinking.

The ‘instant bridge’ was described as a feat of engineering on Saturday morning but was not yet open to people to cross.

It was said that the bridge would last 100 years and could withstand the strongest of hurricanes. Governor Rick Scott also spoke to reporters, saying ‘everybody is working hard to make sure we rescue anyone who can be rescued’.

The Florida governor added that an exhaustive investigation now beginning will get to the bottom of ‘why this happened and what happened’ and vowed that anyone who did anything wrong would be held accountable.

Miami-Dade police director Juan Perez praised the actions of first responders during a news conference but acknowledged the likelihood of finding more victims under the rubble was growing more difficult with the passage of time.

‘We know that there’s going to be a negative outcome at the end of the day,’ Mr Perez said.

A pastor has cried out about the unbearable abusive nature of his wife which has put a serious strain on their marriage.

The 48-year-old pastor identified as Paul Dawodu, has asked an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve his 18-year-old marriage with his wife, Adijat.

An upholstery maker, Taiwo Opasina, 29, who is facing a three-count charge of incest, has been remanded in prison by an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The accused was arraigned for unlawful and indecent assault, unlawful sexual intercourse and penetrative sex with a minor.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the offences.
