STORM2: Haba! I'll be blunt oh....u need atleast a Credit pass (C) in biology to be even considered for any biolological science. You can do better than D7 in biology na. Start reading now and either write WAEC again or get ur GCE. Try to get ALL your o'level papers in ONE sitting.

I wrote WAEC twice myself so trust me when I say it can and should be done.

No school worth going to will accept a D7 in biology for pharmacy, nursing, mbbs, biochemistry, microbiology....zoology, botany, bio edu, agriculture...or ANY biological science.

them plenty na. Especially in Microbiology. Well here's d skul dat accepts a pass in phy 4 BIOCHEMISTRY-Futa, umudike, ebsu. MICROBIOLOGY- ebsu, futa, abeokuta even Oau. But to be on safer side. Let me c ur full o'level.

vicksbaba: biology is a core subject... the heart of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, pharmacology, physio(-logy, -therapy ), biomedical engineering, radiography, etcetera...... an average performance.... is needed before you can pass the! screening.... irrespective of how high your PUTME score is.

charliejose: I gained admission to study pharmacology at unilag... But wat I really want is medicine... I went to the office of the provost cmul today to find out if it's possible to change to medicine in ma 200 level... But with d way I was attended to, it seems d chances of d possibility are slim...I was not allowed to see d provost tho..I have gone to take another jamb form anyways... But am still hopeful... Checked the course outline for the faculty of medicine nd alas! All departments offer same courses for the 1st yr.... I really don't know but it should be possible......

any which, both are gud, ui nd unilag, but i suggest unilag 4 nw, becoz of d rumour that ui won't admit students 2014. I'm also going 2 unilag- medicine 4rm abia.

lomaxx: I've been reading some posts about the fear of physics, mathematics etc amongst MBBS aspirants and MBBS students in situ. There's nothing to be afraid of. Una own better sef.
I was an Arts student in FGC, Ikom. Finished as an Arts student; wrote O'levels in Arts only. Then left secondary school and decided to study Medicine.
I had never done physics before. Never did chemistry. The only science subject I did was biology. But I still wanted Medicine.
Between May/June 2007 and Nov/Dec 2008, I read physics and chemistry on my own, attended a few lessons, sat for WASSCE Nov/Dec that year in the science and arts subjects, smashed them, went on to JAMB & post-UTME smashed them too.
It was in the university during my pre-medical year that the paranoia of physics and chemistry chased me considering where I came from. It was even worse. University physics & chemistry was a lil tougher. But I had all As in all- first and second semester.
And this is where the relevance of this post comes in. You had done the science subjects (physics, maths, etc) in your secondary school. So you have a strong foundation. Or at least, you have a foundation. You have an advantage. Fear not; for the physics you see today, you shall see them no more
