*TOPIC: JESUS’ PURPOSE FOR ESTABLISHING THE CHURCH*
MATTHEW 16:18

There is a divine purpose behind the church. The church is not just the four walls of a building. God is doing something.

*1. TO BRING MANY SONS OF GOD INTO THE GLORY LEVEL OF LIFE (Hebrews 2:10):* Every human being, like the devil, starts life by living at sin level, but God wants us to come to the level of His glory. As we begin to grow, God introduces us into the structure of the Church. When we embrace the programme of the Church, something begins to happen in our lives.

*2. TO PREPARE A BRIDE FOR THE GROOM (2 Corinthians 11:2-4):* Spiritually, every believer is to be prepared as a bride for Christ. *A church that is not preparing her members as a bride for Christ is a church that is preparing them for the antichrist.* Today, many preachers have come on the scene that are preaching another Jesus to the church; preaching a Jesus that allows people to live in sin and misbehave and will still allow them to make heaven.

*3. PREPARE A PEOPLE READY FOR THE LORD THEIR GOD (Luke 1:17):* The Church is to fulfil this through the ministry of men of God who will call people to take heed to things they are overlooking in these last days. *Preparing the people for the Lord is preparing the people for the Master, for the Judge. Jesus has come as a Saviour once, now He is coming to judge.*

*4. THE CHURCH IS THE DIVINE FACTORY FOR DIVINE PRODUCTS (I Kings 6:7):* The Church is the divine factory where destiny specifications are given. It is a divine factory where God brings people to be made.

*PRAYER:* Lord, show me the destiny and purpose of my church membership in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING HEADSHIP IN THE CHURCH - EPHESIANS 4:8-16, PSALM 68:6*


There is nothing like ‘one-man ministry’ in what God is doing. When God starts something, He makes it a one-headed ministry which is uniquely different from a one-man ministry. A one-headed ministry is the one where God places a man who is accountable to Jesus in a headship role and is responsible to open the door for other ministers to minister there. Anything without a head has nothing to do with God and anything with two heads is a monster.

Ministry is not a human enterprise because there are divine and supernatural factors behind it. God has a standard, a structure, a procedure and a process. Anything of God will involve a price. When God wants to start a church, He defines the vision for it and calls a man to head it. And then He brings people to the Church who the vision is to guide in what the called man is to do with them.

The man that God calls is a person He has been working on, someone he has been taking through experiences to fit him into a kind of mindset and thought pattern, and a kind of nature that will be suited for what He wants him to do in the lives of His people.

A called person must have a sense of, “God called me to this work” so as to do it with the understanding that he is accountable to God. The devil would fight the called to discourage him from fulfilling his mandate and to get it off his hand and frustrate him. He would try to get him to think that the calling is not working and that he should drop it and find something else to do. But as the called persists in the work, God brings people to come and be members in the Church under his headship.



PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for the God-given head over my church, I receive grace to submit and team up correctly in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: CALLING OF CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
PSALMS 68:6, 1 CORINTHIANS 12:27-28

God operates with families and generations in mind. The church is a spiritual family where the mandate and Kingdom flows are perpetuated down the generations in increasing measure. The Kingdom of God is father and son unlimited. God told me to tell His people that no one should attend a church where he or she cannot accept the set-man as a spiritual father because the things of God are inherited and not earned.

Church membership is by calling. The way God calls a man to start a church is the same way He calls sons and daughters to become members of the Church. The Bible likens believers to plants (Psalm 92:13-15) and sheep (John 10:16). Just as plants have soil types suitable for flourishing and sheep require a particular ration suitable for growth and development, God sets every believer in a church family that results in growth and enables them walk in His highest purpose for them. This understanding will help improve your attitude towards your church membership and your pastor.

The following shouldn’t determine your church membership: family or friendship influence, crowd effect, doctrines that suit your carnal desires, nearness to your house or because you were offended in a former church.

Instead, God guides you to the Church He chose for you by drawing your heart to the church, quickening your heart (Luke 1:41) when you attend, knitting your heart supernaturally to the pastor (1 Samuel 18:1) or by giving you a dream or a Rhema word to join that church (Acts 16:9; 8:29). Sometimes, your spirit man always gets fed when you attend and you’re moving from problem to purpose (Jeremiah 3:14-15).

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for saving me. I ask You to give me clarity on my church membership in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC : SALVATION AS A PREREQUISITE TO BEING A MEMBER OF THE KINGDOM (2) - EPHESIANS 2:20*



“And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Chris himself being the chief corner stone;”

Every building rests on the strength of its foundation. If the foundation is not right, God cannot do much with you. There will have to be a change. God’s offer of this change is through genuine salvation experience. Ascertaining the genuineness of salvation of an individual is the beginning point for whatever God will do in your life. So, this cannot be glossed over or taken lightly while dealing with people in the local church.

Salvation is what brings the expected change of behavior in an individual and Christianity without the right behaviour is not effective Christianity. As said earlier, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone means the first thing to building correctly is a genuine salvation experience. The evidence of this can be seen in that when you were still not born again, you made Newyear resolutions and depending on individual willpower, there are people that are so strong-willed and could carry out their resolutions. There are people that stopped smoking without being born again, and there are people that are still smoking after being born again. There are certain things you can do with your willpower but your willpower would not take you to heaven. The only thing that takes a man to heaven is salvation through Jesus Christ.

If you want to be genuinely born-again and you understand what you are about to do, read this prayer aloud: Jesus is my Lord from this day, I receive the nature of God into myself. The blood of Jesus that was shed for me 2000 years ago is now applied to wipe away my account of original sin and every sin I've personally committed since I've been born. I repent of both my personal sins and the original sin now. Thank you Jesus for shedding your blood and washing me from my sin. You are my Lord and Saviour from now on: I will live for you all the rest of my days; in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

TOPIC: SALVATION AS A PREREQUISITE TO BEING A MEMBER OF THE KINGDOM (1)
JOHN 3:1-3

Nicodemus is an example of a man that is already part of what God is doing, but who is not yet a part of the Kingdom. He was a Jewish religious leader in the temple. Jesus said to him, "…unless one is born again..." and Mark 16:16 says, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Thus, being saved must be preceded by you believing in Jesus and being born again to be a member of the Church. If a man or woman is not born again, no matter how religious he/she may be, he/she is not part of the Kingdom. If anyone has not believed in Jesus and accepted Him as his Saviour, he cannot be born again. A person who is not born again cannot be part of the Church/Kingdom. This is the basic thing that we need to understand.

Therefore, there is a difference between attending church and being a member of the Church. The goodies of the Kingdom are for members only. A person that is not born again but comes to church needs to make the decision to become saved in order to qualify for these blessings. The basic mark of a genuine church is the agreement that Jesus is our Saviour. If anyone agrees with, accepts and submits to that, such will be a part of the Kingdom. Any congregation or individual that believes against this is not functioning as part of the Kingdom, and such cannot fulfill God's purpose effectively.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for my salvation. Thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your life for me. I am most grateful!

TOPIC: FOUR KINDS OF CHURCHES (2)
ACTS 8:5-25, MATTHEW 16:18-19

Yesterday, we learnt about churches that are actually empires and clubs. Today, we will continue with the other two kinds of churches:

3. A Cult: This arises when the devil or his agents start a church to deceive people. These kinds of churches are becoming more sophisticated by the day, but strange things are placed in their foundation and these bring negative spiritual flows into the lives of people who worship there. Since the devil can counterfeit power, these cults always have a semblance of supernatural power. Unexplainable cycles of evil happen in these cults and it takes a discerning heart to be free from their lure. They often have unbiblical practices among them and some people notice a sharp downward trend after joining these churches.

4. A God-ordained Church: God starts a God-ordained church with three incontrovertible elements. The first element is God Himself-He has a purpose to achieve and that is the origin of a genuine church. Secondly, God calls a man to lead that church. Many times, God calls the man away from his agenda and gives him covenants that describe the commitment of God in his assembly. Thirdly, God calls people to become members of that church to team up with the pastor to achieve His original purpose. This is the kind of church Jesus referred to in Matthew 16:18-19.

While all the four may look alike, it is the church founded in the spirit of Christ and would lead the people of God into His purpose and plan for them that God approves of. Believers need to distinguish between churches to avoid being trapped in the wrong one.

PRAYER: Lord, build Your church through me; let my membership lead to increase of Your kingdom on earth in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*This month, we will focus on church, church membership and truths that will help you get the best that Christ died for to offer the Body of Christ* . _God told me that the fulfilment of a believer’s destiny starts only when he or she becomes a part of the Body of Christ through the local Church._ There are four ways through which a church can evolve; only one is right.

*1. AN EMPIRE:* This is the first kind of a wrong church which emerges from the decision of a man to start a church God hasn’t sent him to start. This could be as a result of personal ambition or identifying a need. Maturity may help identify a need, but it is God’s calling upon a man that equips him or her to meet that need. This may also manifest when someone with great natural abilities assumes he is better than the man called of God. When a man starts this kind of church, it is an empire and it will be a fraud that lacks the backing and authentic power of God.

*2. A CLUB:* This is a church founded by a group of people that decide to do something for God. This results in a tower of Babel. When people decide to have a church for God without the Lord’s authorization, what they would have is a club. It could have the semblance and appearance of church, it could have a collegiate spirit but will lack a father’s voice and it will not be a church supported by God.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive the truths You are showing me this month concerning my church membership in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: GOD’S PURPOSE FOR WEALTH
DEUTERONOMY 8:10-11a

“When thou has eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God,”

Many people don’t have correct understanding of why God gives wealth. This needs to be understood so that wealth will be used for the purpose God sent it. We will be looking at the 3 reasons God gives His people money and wealth.

1. To fund your divine assignment. This is why God sent you here and He’s committed to funding it. This is a major reason God sends money to you. That is what God is funding. If God is bringing divine assistance and help to you, it is to fund your divine assignment, i.e. God’s purpose for your life. A Christian that is living for his personal purpose alone outside of the divine purpose will not enter into this dimension of kingdom wealth. God is committed to us at the level of our commitment to divine purposes.

2. To finance your earthly obligations. God is also committed to this. These obligations include your family provision, your children’s school fees, your house rent, housekeeping allowance, funds for your parents’ welfare, to mention a few. God is interested in how you will meet these needs, and so He sends resources to you to take care of them. People get into trouble when they start taking obligations that are not their direct responsibilities; especially among people of African descent.

3. To fund your personal enjoyment. God wants you to enjoy. I recommend that you identify the righteous limit of wealth for you, then start investing the excess in the work of the preaching of the gospel and on divine instructions.

Avoid the error of many people in this area who have rearranged this order to suit their own purpose, not the divine agenda. The correct order is how I have highlighted them above. You get committed to divine assignment, fulfil your personal obligations and enjoy as well.

PRAYER: LORD, I pray that the kingdom wealth in my custody will be used for the purpose You sent it. Amen!

TOPIC: FORCES THAT GENERATE KINGDOM WEALTH
DEUTERONOMY 8:18a

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.”

We will be looking at some major forces today that will set you on a glorious journey to kingdom wealth. I will be discussing each of them briefly.

1.Verbal confidence: You must break forth in this area if you will break into the dimension of your kingdom wealth. Break every yoke of intimidation and inferiority in yourself.

2.Self discipline: A man that is not disciplined can’t manifest the kingdom wealth. It takes self discipline to produce excellent results in life.

3.Strategic savings: Do specialized and strategic savings. I recommend at least seven savings accounts for different things and project in your life.

4. Strategic sowing and kingdom partnership: Be a partner and contribute to what God is doing in your day. This opens serious dimensions of harvest to you that eventually launches you into kingdom wealth.

5. Due diligence and attention to details: A man going to control true kingdom wealth must be diligent and pay close attention to details in life. You must have a zero tolerance for error and mediocrity. The instrument that will set the standard will not accommodate error in itself.

6. Eyes that see what others overlook: You need that grace. That was the difference between Andrew and the other disciples.

7. Increased sensitivity to the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit wants to lead us, guide us and direct us. To enter into kingdom wealth, we need to be sensitive to Him. He is our greatest form of wealth because the hidden and secret things of wealth are open to Him.

8. Recognition of your seed, your seed time, and your ground: There is a reality of seed, seed time, and the ground. We need to pray that God will help us to get these combination right.

9. Divine location: Divine provision is waiting for you in the place of divine location. A man that gets his location right can never be stranded financially. There is a place called “there” for every believer and we should all find our place of divine location.

10. The principle of honour: What and who you choose to honour will determine the blessings that flow in your direction. You can get through honour and humility what you can never get through your certificate and formal education. Learn to imbibe honour.

PRAYER: LORD, I open up my life to kingdom forces that bring kingdom wealth in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: BALANCING THE TWO SIDES OF KINGDOM WEALTH (2)*
DEUTERONOMY 8:18a

_“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.”_

Yesterday, we looked at the spiritual side of kingdom wealth. By the Grace of God today, we will be exploring the physical side. These include the following:

*THE BEST NATURAL WISDOM:* This *comes either through your personal study and effort or employing somebody to do the task for you.* Going through different materials and books on wealth is good but you must *allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and highlight those that you should actually go through.* This is important because not all books are safe for you.

*GOOD RELATIONSHIPS:* *Do an audit of relationships around you and be sure you have the right set of people around you.* Good relationships enhance our future financially, spiritually, physically, and so on.

*WORK: Work hard and work smart. Lazy people don’t make it in this kingdom.* Ensure you have put in the best from your own end.

*SAVINGS:* Establish a savings scheme. *The spirit of poverty works with how much you can spend while the spirit of prosperity works with how much you can save.* Don’t be a person that spends daily but doesn’t save daily. My counsel to people over the years has always been to *save as you spend.* Your attitude to saving and spending is either empowering the spirit of poverty or the spirit of prosperity in your life. *Save money in trickles and spend in bulk.* Spending in trickles is empowering the spirit of poverty while spending in bulk is empowering the spirit of prosperity.

*PRAYER:* LORD, I receive wisdom to be involved in activities that empower the spirit of wisdom. Amen!

TOPIC: BALANCING THE TWO SIDES OF KINGDOM WEALTH (1)

DEUTERONOMY 8:18a

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…”

There are two sides to kingdom wealth that we need to pay attention to as Christians; i.e. the spiritual side and the physical side. There should be a balance of the two for maximum results. You can not afford to work just one side alone. Most people pay attention to the spiritual side alone leaving the physical side largely unworked and unharnessed. Don’t forget that everything spiritual requires a body for manifestation. If you don’t provide the body, don’t expect manifestation. The other extreme is individuals that work the physical side alone. This can produce a lot of results but it won’t be the best we can achieve.

On the spiritual side, we have the following: SEED SOWING, THE ANOINTING AND THE HOLY SPIRIT while on the physical side we have THE BEST NATURAL WISDOM, GOOD RELATIONSHIPS, WORK AND SAVINGS.

SEED SOWING: It is seed sowing that brings harvest. A man that does not sow shouldn’t be expecting harvest in the first place. When God gives seeds to you, He expects you to sow so that you can have your harvest at the right time.

THE ANOINTING: Always carry the anointing along in your decisions. It is God that actually knows where He has placed help and wealth for you, and one of the things He does to release that into your life is connecting you to the right anointing.

THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is our highest form of wealth and He’s always willing to guide and direct us to our wealthy place.

PRAYER: LORD, help me to live a balanced life for the full manifestation of my kingdom wealth. Amen!

TOPIC: THE POWER OF CORRECT ASSOCIATION (2)
GENESIS 39:1-4, PROVERBS 13:20

From the day Joseph started working for Potiphar, everything he had started increasing. You need a Joseph to be your staff, even if he is your messenger or driver, he would bring increase. There are some other kinds of people that as soon as they were employed as drivers, their employers started recording all kinds of losses in their businesses.

In the case of Lot and Abraham, Lot didn’t understand the law of association in prosperity. He was not aware that his prosperity was connected to his joining and linkage with Abraham. He became blessed and separated from his divine linkage and from that day, he started going down. It took Abraham to come to his rescue on the day of evil; he lost his wife and children in the strange land that he settled in. There are relationships that God wants to bring into your life in order to prosper you and you should be sensitive to them, and there are some other relationships you must cut away from. Don’t be emotional with people when it comes to critical matters of your destiny.

Your association affects the wealth in your life. There are some people that God has anointed to become a help to you. When he becomes your friend, positive things will start happening. He brings counsel, inspiration, encouragement, information, contacts and connection into your life.

As part of the principles of kingdom wealth, correct association is part of what blesses you and it includes family members especially extended family members. Love them but be careful how much you get involved with them. Love people, fulfil your obligations but be very careful. If you cannot trust the kind of spirit flowing in somebody’s life, be careful about how you relate with them.

PRAYER: Lord, I join myself to the power of right associations. I will never lack the right man or the right company in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: THE POWER OF CORRECT ASSOCIATION (1)
PROVERBS 13:20

What you associate with will be associated with you. You need to associate with who and what God has blessed. Increase or decrease comes by association. Blessings or curses also come through your association; remember Lot’s decline after departing from Abraham. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” In the bid to practise the principle of association, be careful that you don’t employ a staff carrying a curse.

Christians violate the law of association when they bring family members that are carrying ancestral curses to join their company that was set up under divine leading, and then the devil becomes a partner in that business. Some bring in a friend with a curse on his life. Don’t give your money to someone rebelling against the purpose of God because God Himself is opposing him and if you support him, God will frown at you.

There are businessmen today that want to show they have money, by supporting a man who is running from the call of God. Don’t be like them, else God will end your business. God told the people who offered to help Jonah: “I called a man to serve me, you are carrying him”. God sent a fierce storm that almost wrecked their boat and all the while, the Jonah that brought the storm was sleeping in the boat. Many people are facing all kinds of horrible things because they are running from the purpose of God. Association is very important. There are people today that never had problems in their lives until they joined a particular church, and everything started going down from that day.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for a divine disconnection and separation from every wrong person that is opening me up to negative flows in Jesus’ name. Amen!

WORK THE NATURAL SIDE OF KINGDOM WEALTH
PROVERBS 18:16
 

There are some things that come as a natural addition to what God wants to do for you in the light of kingdom wealth. 

1. Your talents: These are things that you can do effortlessly and more often than not you can earn money from your talents. You only need to identify them.

2. Your gifts.: These are endowments that God added to you when He was creating you. 

3. Your skill: Your skill has to do with your salary and the job you do. Don’t neglect your salary even though it may be a narrow stream. Don’t despise what God has anointed you to do because of a comfortable salary.

4. Your rights in life: You have some rights that come with who you are in the physical side of your life. 

5. Marriage: Marriage confers on you some privileges and income.

6. Inheritance: We all have different assets and liabilities in our lives as a result of our backgrounds. Your assets include your inheritance in life and you shouldn’t reject an inheritance from a natural father or parent, except it has any form of diabolism.

7. Your favours: Some of the means through which God brings wealth to you are the favours you have with people. Ruth enjoyed the favour of God on the field of Boaz. 

8. Your connections and relationships: People are becoming something for your sake. Don’t look down on anybody and treat all men with respect; when they become men and women of influence, you have them as part of your connections.

9. Your wisdom: You have been through some experiences that are peculiar to you alone and when you package this wisdom, it can fetch you wealth. 

10. Areas where you apply wisdom include the realm of creativity and investment.

 

PRAYER: 
Lord, I open my eyes to every natural side of my life that is to bring righteous wealth flow into my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: SOWING BOUNTIFULLY VERSUS SOWING SPARINGLY*
2 CORINTHIANS 9:6

The Bible says, “He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” How do you know you are sowing sparingly? *You are sowing sparingly whenever you can afford to do so much but you hold back a little –sparing yourself.* Consequently, when the harvest is coming, it will come with that holding back also. Sometimes, the holding back is in timing; the Bible says if it’s in your hand to help your neighbour, go ahead, don’t delay and tell him to come tomorrow when you can do it now.

This is *because how you sow will determine how God will send your harvest. It’s a law that never fails.* I prefer that God moves me and I respond and it meets a need because that surprise element will also be included in my harvest. I won’t want to beg for my harvest before it comes, and you shouldn’t also.

*The soil into which you sow is very important.* Ecclesiastes chapter 11 gives us a clue. *You don’t sow your seed in a place or a ministry that is not involved in evangelism and saving of souls.* Don’t put your seed in a dead church. If you do, you are sowing on a dead ground and nothing will come out of it. *Get involved with ministries that are involved in what God is doing in your day.* Sow into soul-winning and divine assignments. Sometimes you are a part of a church and God says, “I’m calling the church to get involved in an assignment. ” That is a divine assignment you should get involved in.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive the grace and the heart of a giver that gives wilfully and bountifully in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE SEED-GROUND PRINCIPLE*
GENESIS 1:28-29, 8:22

As part of the law of kingdom prosperity, you must have the following things that you train yourself to recognize: *1) Your seed, 2) your seed time, 3) Your ground to sow in, and 4) Your harvest.*

My philosophy is that *any money that comes in that I was not expecting must have a purpose. ANY MONEY YOU DID NOT PLAN FOR IS HARVEST FOR SOME SEEDS YOU HAVE SOWN IN THE PAST.* Also, remember that you are not supposed to consume all your harvest.

Many people have consumed their harvest and their seed and as a result, they are seedless and are presently struggling. The truth is, *if you are struggling in any situation, you must have missed a seed time in the past and thus you are without harvest.* When God put man on the earth, he gave man the assignment to have dominion.

Genesis 1:28-29 “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”

The principle of dominion contains three things: *1) He gave man authority, 2) He gave man seed, and 3) He gave man the ground.* After giving man these 3 things, He said: “Populate the earth.” He put just two people on the earth, and He said, “Replenish the earth.” *Dominion comes out of that principle and you can never walk in dominion if you don’t understand the seed-ground principle.* Keep on weeding your ground because the harvest doesn’t have time.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for sensitivity to recognize my seed, my seed time, my ground and my harvest in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Soak the word of God into your spirit. What is not in your heart cannot influence your life. If prosperity is not in your heart, you will not look for it in this world. If sickness is in your heart and you say you are looking for healing, you are deceiving yourself. The devil is sowing things into our hearts through news reports, discussions, movies and so many things. Therefore, you need to closet yourself to get the word of God on the kingdom system you are trying to activate.

Have you ever listened to a message that sounded very much like God was answering your questions as the message was ongoing? Did you buy the CD of that same message? Most people pay lip service to their intention to experiencing what God said but the Bible says, “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Before you can have faith in anything that God says, you have to hear it a minimum of two times. The first time you hear it, what comes is excitement. The second time you hear it is when you hear the details and faith begins to rise.

All through the previous years, the first things I spent my money on were messages preached by men of God, while many of my colleagues in school would buy musical tapes. I didn’t buy any musical tape. I said, “God will play music for me; let me first of all master His word.” I spent my money on messages. I once bought a cassette player that had auto-reverse and earphones and I would play it over and over till I slept, soaking the word into my heart.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the ministry of your word into my life for a divine change in Jesus’ name. Amen!

WEALTH MUST BE IN YOUR HEART BEFORE IT CAN ENTER YOUR LIFE (1)

Today’s topic addresses what a Christian needs to do in order to activate kingdom wealth. It is the fulcrum on which kingdom prosperity turns. If you ignore or despise it, you will crash in your attempt to activate kingdom wealth because many people try to work kingdom prosperity and they leave the things that fuel it. Ignoring it in your pursuit of wealth is like attempting to drive a car without fuel in its tank.


Get the word of God on prosperity, increase and wealth rooted in your heart because it is the seed of the kingdom.


The Bible says “the sower went to sow” and the seed he sowed was the word of God. When Jesus came, He was the word of God that God sowed. God sent Jesus as the word and He came as the word. If you want to work God’s system on any subject in life, get the word of God on that subject and listen to it. Don’t hear it once; hear the word of God on that subject over and over until it is rooted in your heart.


Many people want to be prayer champions but they don’t study what the Bible says about prayer and as a result, their prayer life is in a muddled-up state; it is up today and down tomorrow. They stumble here today, get results there tomorrow and next day they don’t get results. It is just a cycle of guesswork but God doesn’t want you to have that kind of result in life. Get the word of God in your heart. The word of God cannot fail; when you express your faith towards God, you are standing on a ground that can’t fail.

Lord, I pray for an open and right heart that correctly receives and applies your word in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE PRINCIPLE OF SEASONS
GALATIANS 6:7-8
 

The principle of seasons is the total factor that affects kingdom prosperity. Recognize the principle of seasons. 

What are the lessons we can learn here? 

1. The due season always comes for every seed that a man sows (Galatians 6:7-

2. Due seasons vary from one person to another. Don’t get on another person’s due season. 


This is seen many times in the ministry when a younger pastor is envious of the possessions of an older pastor who is in his season of harvest, having paid the price of faithfulness to God throughout the years of pain, lack and suffering. Everybody will have his due season and you must understand that seasons are different from one person to another.


A pastor in a town may see another pastor who is in a different season from his and he feels condemned and inferior because he is not in the same season. You need to understand that if you are faithful and consistent, you will get into your own season of harvest. A mango tree that was planted this year should not envy a mango tree that has been producing fruits for the past ten years. That newly planted mango tree should not say, “Since I am not producing any fruit, I’m good for nothing; uproot me.” No, not at all, because seasons vary. God set seasons on the earth to allow us grow and correct mistakes that we make.

Lord, I pray for the virtue of patience to wait diligently for my due season and for wisdom to handle the passage of time correctly in Jesus’ name. Amen!

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.”

INCREASE YOUR INCOME. This can be achieved in two ways. It is either you get more jobs or create other streams of inflow of income into your life. When this is done, God begins to bless you but you must be careful that at this time you are not just spending the blessings. Start using the blessing to offset your debts.

DON’T BE AN EXECUTIVE IN YOUR APPROACH TO FINANCES. The executive mindset is a dangerous mindset that will keep you perpetually in debt. Develop, rather, the mindset of an entrepreneur. Big salary is always a deception that makes you believe you can borrow and pay back later. That is a very easy way of inviting the spirit of debt.

REDUCE YOUR SPENDING. When a man is coming out of debt, he must first of all stop spending, and then reduce spending. Then you start practicing the law of accumulation gradually until you are completely out of debt.

PROSPER AT YOUR LEVEL. Don’t prosper at another man’s level. Always find your financial level and prosper there. Don’t buy things you can’t afford on credit – it doesn’t allow you to plan. Don’t borrow money to buy material things. Don’t borrow for a wedding ceremony. Do things at the level which you can conveniently take care of. You don’t have to start marriage in debt. Have good plans and let God help you.

PRAYER: I receive grace to walk in the spirit of wisdom that leads to a victorious financial life. Amen!

GETTING OUT OF DEBT (1)
DEUTERONOMY 8:18a

Getting out of debt requires that you accept personal responsibility for coming out. I will be showing you steps that you need to take to have financial victory in life.


IDENTIFY YOUR FINANCIAL STATE: You need to ask yourself the following questions. What is your current level of income? What are your expenses and liabilities? How indebted are you? You will not have any financial victory if you can not identify your current financial state.


COME TO THE ANOINTING: One of the statements I make often is that if a man does not know what to do, he must know where to go. If you are in debt, my greatest counsel for you is that you should go to the anointing. Debt is a demonic hole that punches into the economic life of the individual involved. If you meet a man in debt, the best help you can render is to take him to the anointing to break the yoke off him. Debt is a satanic hole and it is only the anointing that can block that hole in the spirit. Giving money or financial assistance to a man in debt without introducing him to the anointing first of all is inviting the demon attacking his life into your own affairs.

ESTABLISH A MEANS OF DEALING WITH YOUR CREDITORS: You might need to discuss with your creditors on the modality of paying off your debts. Protect your name. Don’t let people call you debtors because you refuse to pay your debts.


PRAYER: Lord, I receive wisdom to take appropriate steps to enter into my financial victory. Amen!

KNOW WHERE YOU ARE FINANCIALLY
GENESIS 13:14
 

Where are you financially? Until you answer the question of where you are financially, you are not likely to make major progress. To answer these questions correctly, you should know the places that you can be:

1.In debt? 

If yes, there are 2 positions:

1: You’re in debt but you’re coming out because of the truth and revelations that you are receiving.

2: You’re in debt but you’re going deeper because of foolishness and Satan’s operations.

You cannot look from another person’s place. The reason visions have become confusing to many of God’s people is because they were not approaching that vision from where they were financially.

2.Buoyant? 

If yes, there are two positions:

1: Buoyant but you are becoming poor because of foolishness.

2: Buoyant but you are becoming stronger because of truth.

If you are not operating on a budget and you don’t know what you spent last week and you don’t know what you are going to spend next week, you may be buoyant but you are likely to become poor. Therefore, you must have a budget and know exactly what you are doing. God is more concerned with what you are becoming than what you presently are. Focus more on what you are becoming by what you are doing or not doing, than what you are.

3. At an average level; in this state, you are neither blessed nor cursed.

4. Operating in insufficiency;  here, you are not yet in debt but you hardly have your needs met.

As a principle of Kingdom wealth, know where you are because you can’t come out if you don’t know.


PRAYER: 
Lord, I pray for a baptism of the spirit of wisdom to identify where I am financially and to know the practical steps I need to make to move ahead in Jesus’ name. Amen!

On the matter of exploring the business side of your career, God can often give you a business idea that isn’t necessarily related to your university degree. Sometimes, God can give you an idea that’s not related to any degree at all. He can give you an idea in an area that you look down upon, in blue collar fields for example.

If you as a lawyer get a divine idea of doing a particular rental business, instead of saying such a business is below your level, upgrade your own rental business to the level that men of timbre and calibre would prefer to patronise your outfit. You don’t have to actively man the business, especially if it’s outside your area of expertise; employ your legal mind to draft the proposal, then get people to run the business.

When God gives you such an idea, or if such an idea has been occurring to you, you need to take it very seriously. God gives us such ideas to help us open new streams of income through which He can bless our lives legitimately. If you don’t take it seriously, you will end up being a man of many ideas, many dreams but no implementation.

PRAYER: Lord, show me any area in my life where my laziness or negligence is limiting the amount of blessing you can bring into my life. Help me to be excellent as I work to make my harvest a reality. Amen!

EXPLORE THE BUSINESS SIDE OF YOUR CAREER (1)

Regardless of the kind of job you’re doing, there is a business dimension to it. There’s always room to leverage the experience you’ve gained through the course of your professional life. You should constantly look for areas where you can apply your expertise to start your own things. 


These are all avenues through which God can bless you and bring your, “…pressed down, shaken together and running over…” blessing (Luke 6:38). Unfortunately, we often narrow the channels through which God can bless us when we limit ourselves to our salaries alone. The channel of your salary is narrow because it is controlled by men. 


For example, If you work in an organisation where promotion is once every 3 years, it means any harvest limited to your salary would have to be delayed for 3 years. God is consistently trying to communicate other streams of income to such people but they are so tied to their narrow, singular stream of salary income that they block off every possibility of other streams of income. Be alert and diligent in finding the business areas of your career to give God enough room through which He can bring your harvests into your life legitimately.


PRAYER: 
Lord, show me any area in my life where my laziness or negligence is limiting the amount of blessing you can bring into my life. Help me to be excellent as I work to make my harvest a reality. Amen!

6) Placing lesser importance on the character traits that sustain and create wealth.

The type of business you are doing is not as important as your heart, mind, and practices as a business owner. Many people think it’s the type of business that determines the flow of blessing and wealth. That’s a mistake; it is the heart, mind and practices of the owner that matter. For example, you can become (a) millionaire selling water by the virtue of how you approach it; the seriousness, the diligence and meticulousness you apply to it. 

7) Starting big yet thinking small.

 Start small and think big. Your goal should be to help and not to fleece people in business. Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” That’s the law and it is a reflexive law that necessitates you operating it with the mindset of a giver. A giver must always have something to give. Constantly look to acquire those things in life you are to give to others.

PRAYER: 
Lord, help me to understand the reasons you bring increase into my life. Give me the strength and wisdom to mange wealth effectively in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Usually, in towns where you earn a high salary, the cost of living there also tends to be exorbitant. If you work in such a town, it’s often wise to move some of your earnings to somewhere cheaper and make investments there. For example, the amount of money it would cost you to invest in a rental one bedroom property in an expensive town could buy an entire house in a different location. 

5) Considering another’s wealth as your own.

You must separate your wealth from that of your company, your parents, your friends, your relatives and your boss. Never live off the wealth of another. Never think another person’s wealth is your own. For example, there must be a difference in your mindset regarding your personal car and your official car; your official accommodation and your personal house. 

Failure to distinguish between these is why you find people that have become professors on a campus where they have lived all their lives till they became grandparents in government quarters. Official quarters is not your house! Build your own!

MISTAKES THAT COMBAT WEALTH AND PROMOTE POVERTY (1)
PSALM 62:10, ECCLESIASTES 5:11
 

1.) Changing your lifestyle to be excessively flashy when God has only just begun to increase you.


Be careful that when God blesses you financially, you make responsible, biblical choices with those blessings. A common mistake is to immediately splash the funds on a flashy lifestyle which could lead to debt or attract unneeded attention that can hinder or lock down future blessings. 

2) Not guarding against satanic attacks on your wealth.

Ecclesiastes 5:11 says, “When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?” and Psalms 62:10 says, “Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.” This attack includes satanic increase of needs (expensive attacks on family, health, your car etc.) and personal habits that make you spend your increase. 


Be careful of spending more because you have more. Often times, a wise approach would be to maintain the lifestyle you had at your previous level in order to conserve and protect your wealth. 

3) Not finding out God’s purpose for your wealth. 

When God brings wealth into your life, your first question must be, “What is God’s purpose for this increase?” 

Here are some possible reasons God brings increase into your life:

1) To wipe out your debt

2) To start your own saving scheme

3) To get you into business

4) To advance the kingdom of God


PRAYER: 
Lord, help me to understand the reasons you bring increase into my life. Give me the strength and wisdom to mange your wealth effectively in Jesus’ name. Amen!

2.Give to men

A lot of people, not only Christians, understand the benefits of giving to man. They donate to charity, help out family, friends and  occasionally  strangers. Many do this because it makes them feel good, others give to men because they want to make the world a better place. Regardless of the reason, the benefits of doing so are often clear. 

However, there’s a lot less understanding of the reasons and benefits of giving to God. What does giving to God do for you? God says, “if you give this to me, I will give you a hundred fold in return.” if you respond to that and give to God, for example ,an offering during a church service, the offering you gave creates grace on you that qualifies you to have that offering back a hundred fold in your life. 

Unfortunately, it’s at this point that a disconnect happens with many people, For God to bless you a hundred fold, there should be channels in place in your life through which He can give you such blessings. To make it a reality, you need to go out and work. Don’t allow laziness and small-minded thinking to limit the amount of blessing God can put in your life legitimately.


PRAYER: 
Lord, show me any area in my life where my laziness or negligence is limiting the amount of blessing you can bring into my life. Help me to be excellent as I work to make the blessings you have for me a reality. Amen!

KINGDOM FINANCIAL GOALS
DEUTERONOMY 8:18
 

The kingdom is God’s way of doing things and if you are a member in the kingdom, the plan of God is for you to be a leader in the world and this includes your finances. There are certain financial goals every son and daughter of the kingdom should aspire towards to take a front seat in determining your financial future.

*Goal 1: Financial Freedom.* Your first goal is financial freedom where you are free from debt. To get there, you must first come out of debt. Work towards Financial freedom; freedom from debt and curses.

*Goal 2: Financial Independence* . In financial independence, you are in control of your own destiny financially; you don’t depend on your monthly salary to survive and you have finances coming from other sources. 

*Goal 3: Financial Excellence.* Financial excellence is a higher dimension where your decisions are made based on the will of God and not on your statement of account. The question is no more, “Can we afford it?” Rather it is, “Does God want it done?” Such a person has entered into a partnership with God.

*Goal 4: Financial Dominion.* Financial dominion is when you are “Blessed to be a blessing”. In financial dominion, you can duplicate what you are and what you have anywhere in the world because your attainment is not something that someone did for you.


PRAYER: 
Lord, I step into the realm of financial freedom, independence, excellence and dominion by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus’ name. Amen

Today, I will show you 3 more disciplines you and your seed must imbibe for you to perpetuate wealth:

DISCIPLINE 4: SET TARGETS AND GOALS IN LIFE

“When will you stop being a dependant?” Let your children answer this question.  When I was still a bachelor, I set a target of when I will stop being a tenant, when I will stop using public vehicles and start using my personal car. To God be the glory, I beat the target I set for the accomplishments. Always have targets, work with goals and work towards those goals diligently.

DISCIPLINE 5: DEPEND ON GOD

Depend on God as if He is the only one key. 

DISCIPLINE 6: WORK

Work as if it is the only key. Lack of aggression and grit has robbed many Christians of more than they are aware of. As regards the matter of multiple streams of income, it is only those of us that God called into full-time ministry that God placed a limit on how much we can explore into the financial channels that are available because He has called us to give all of our lives to His work.

If God has not called you to full-time ministry, then don’t go in that direction because you will either kill yourself, get killed by the devil or God will call you home. One of these three will take place. Instead, pour yourself into your work and let God be glorified through what your work is achieving for him.

Lord, I receive divine leading and wisdom to not only multiply wealth but to perpetuate it to my seeds in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: Kingdom Principles That Perpetuate Wealth (1)

PROVERBS 13:11, 14:23, 18:9

If your story will not become like those wealthy men who were stronger in the previous generations but weaker down the line financially, you need to bring your children into the following disciplines:

DISCIPLINE 1: START WORK EARLY

They must start to work early. They should get into the labour market while they are still in school and you should encourage them to start earning while they are still in school.

During vacation, they should be put to work. Most children don’t like to be put to work, but we must overcome that tendency. The children of wealthy people must learn how not to become individuals that only take the privileges of life and reject its responsibilities because this will make them become vagabonds eventually, like the prodigal son.

DISCIPLINE 2: START SAVING ON TIME

They should start saving early; help them to establish and operate a saving scheme. Don’t just read these things but personally teach them these things; don’t leave it to another person to do for you.

DISCIPLINE 3: LIVE ON A BUDGET
Your children must come into the discipline of living and running their lives on a tight budget and keep the excess. Sometimes, you will have seasons of plenty; live and run your life on a tight budget and keep the excess. If you will get into partnership with God, you can’t be a spender or a waster.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for myself and my seed for the grace to labour effectively and productively in Jesus’ name. Amen!
