The comments won't all be flattering; not everyone would stand in awe and clap for the Op and his intelligence. He's got to learn to take it on the chin and wait for a sympathetic comment to come along and make his effort worth the while. Quarreling with criticism only makes one come across like an uncultured brat.

All I saw was a very proud guy praising his own intellectual capabilities, which is exactly where the ladies wanted him to be.

If he was as sound as he claimed, he will have pursued a most logical means to outmaneuver those ladies.

But it's for this reason that Lolade's response (where she referred him to the diary section) was so appropriate. She first said something nice, commending him on his writing, which should cater to his ego; but then pointed out (rightly) that the content of his text wasn't (necessarily) anyone's business. It's only when you're a celebrity that the world of strangers gives a sh*t about your likes and dislikes and innermost desires and if you like tall, short, slim, fat, dark or light skinned women. When you're not a celebrity, that stuff goes into a diary or a scrapbook put together by friends. Or you wait to be asked. His text was diary material. It was solid advice. But then the Op began to take things really badly and spewed some unintelligent things that put the entire premise of his write-up in question. So, it was open season; don't blame anyone for cashing in at his expense.

funny enough only few people can be considered intelligent on this thread. the op stated his opinion elaborately and I expect people to comment based on the content not on the personality of the op.
Even people who agreed the good grammar is not the only criteria for intelligence are falling for the same thing they accused him of. furthermore if the thread ain't your business what are you doing here.
ladies @Safiaa, Lawlahdey what your grouse with the op, is that you guys don't like his write up or you just dislike him.
