Ketima: During the era of Delta variants, indians felt it as flights from there was prohibited. Every month, CA reviewed and placed new date of ban. What indians did was to go through neighbouring countries. Ironically, when they get to POE, they were allowed in. Now it may likely be our turn, hope African factor won't come into play and they will start turning everybody back if they come from neighbouring country. My greatest concern is hope it won't in turn affect processing time of applications? Indians felt the heat as most vfs office closed and this led to delays in application processing.
Baba God na your hand we dey so be this oo. They were turned back at the port of entry. Confirm well before you advice people to try this please. |

makano: Hello Kenny
Your application is still within the processing, its not advisable to send them further repeated mails.....
Most times they received what applicants send them and do not respond, but when you order your gcms notes, you will see it there that they actually received a particular document on the date the applicant sent it...
You can as well send them a mail with the attachment of the document and after that, do not send them any mail until when your application has passed the processing time...
Peace |

Thank you. Just show them ur vaccination card. They will look at it and hand it back to you. |

Jay316: good day Lianna. sorry I think u made a typo error cos I cant really understand. U mean they deported the person just because her port of entry was far from her school ?. wow.the reason I chose to enter through Toronto is is because u said u got ur study permit in Toronto ooo.though u said u had a connecting flight.I already booked a flight from Toronto to Vancouver but that would be a week after I arrive in Toronto as I want to spend new year with my brother .Hope it wont b a problem cos Vancouver is soo far from Toronto So I got study permit and travelled on the 14th. Arrived Canada 15th and went for immigration to get study permit. Intention was to travel chill in Ontario for 3 weeks and return to Naija before travelling to Vancouver in January. Na so the border officer lady after checking my online portal and other documents now asked for my connecting flight to Vancouver - which I didn't have - and I explained that I had things I needed to drop for my cousin in Ontario and will proceed to Vancouver afterwards. The woman just look me say I no want go school ba. So she said she is giving me a 3 months study permit with a clause that I am not permitted to work off campus. She said that when I get to Vancouver and settle there, I can apply for an extension. So that was my experience some persons are angry the lady did that and others said I was lucky, I could have been sent back to naija. I still dey Ontario. Gotten what I came for SIN and study permit. Will deal with the extension when I get to Vancouver. |

nairagrounds: For those that have already gotten their TRV, what validity can one expect for a program of 2 years? Thanks. It's the end date on your LOA plus additional 90days. That's 2yrs + 90days. For instance my program is ending 30/09/2023 (as per LOA) but my TRV is valid to 30/12/2023. |

I just got a request for updated letter of acceptance. I am a September 4th applicant.
I know it is a very good sign, but how do I respond to this since I have already started the semester. I am still using the same letter of acceptance, as I did not defer.
Please, how did you guys respond to this? If I get my PPR, I'll definitely share more interesting story. If you started online, then send them your enrolment letter. |

Thaiy: My soft landing......Thank you God for journey mercy.
My flight was Ethiopian Airline scheduled for 1:40pm on Friday. It was a 39 hours plus journey. I and my people had left home as at 9am for checking, as Ethiopian Airline checks in between 8am to 12 noon, mainly to check in on time.
Being a Friday, the airport was already crowded at 10am when we got there, i was asked by the agriculture people if I was carrying food in which I responded in the affirmative, I was asked to open my bag and items, the lady asked me to go. I quickly made my way through to the profilers, who looked at my passport, arrive Can, enrollment letter, and covid test result. I was not able to print my arriveCan the previous bight as I filled it late, I had to print the copies at 1000 naira each and had to make copies too from the airport.
Documents checked: 1. Arrive can 2. Passport/visa 3. Enrollment letter 4. Covid 19 test result
Afterwards, I weighed my luggage which was cloth luggage (22.75kg), food and other items (25kg+), I was allowed to go on, I was allowed to go on, I wrapped my bags and they were checked in, I got my boarding pass and then joined my family briefly before going onboard.
I was almost passing immigration when those yellow card asked if I had filled, I said yes, but went back and get it fro the woman who gave me my pass, filled it and return to board.
We took off about 2:30pm eventually, and had our first stop over at Addis Ababa for 1hour 50 minutes, we went through immigration so as to change flight, on boarding the new flight, we were airborne at 10:55pm ADD time, for another 8 hours journey and lay over for refuelling for 55 minutes at Dublin, Ireland, we continued onwards after refuelling for Toronto, Canada which took another 7 hours+ and arrived Pearson Airport at 8:10am on Saturday. I scanned my passport, went through security check with Canadian Border Security agents for vaccination status, arriveCan, and passport. I provided my vaccination card and was cleared for immigration checks.
At the immigration, the officer asked how much my tuition was, how much I paid and if I had a scholarship, he asked to see my student portal and timetable. Afterwards he gave my my permit welcomed me to Canada, I showed him my letter of exemption from isolating which he confirmed, gave me directions.
The immigration checks asked for these documents
1. Passport 2. Enrollment letter 3. Tuition receipt
From YYZ (Airport) Toronto, I had a stop over of 12 hours 55 minutes for my connecting flight to St John, Newfoundland.
Had several meal courses from rice to dry bread and butter, to biscults, juice, tea/coffee and other things....I chop am, I paid for it nau(lol).
I found out that my luggage were at dropped at YYZ Toronto, I had to collect them, pick my boarding pass for my connecting flight and had my luggage checked through AirCanada.
I finally got here early this morning, today Sunday....at 1:30am. The temperature was at 0 degree Celsius.
Currently at an Airbnb till I sort out accommodation....
Thaiy is in Canada......to all still expecting, be expectant, be hopeful, do your diligence and trust God. It will end in praise in Jesus Name How/where did you get letter of exemption from? |

makano: Hello House,
As regards this earlier post of mine concerning the operation of the Visa Officer AH03849, below are the reports so far.
I have received 10 GCMS notes of approved applications, and all 10 were handled by different Visa Officers, 5 of the applications were handled by Visa Officer EAIMEL.. None was handled by AH03849..
I have received 12 GCMS notes of refused application, and 10 were handled by AH03849 and 2 updated by him/her..
It's actually still early to conclude, so please if you know you were approved, please share your GCMS notes with us so we can be on the same page.
Once again I don't wanna believe this particular Visa Officer AH03849 is all about refusals, so more inputs from approved applicants will share more light on this issue.
Peace My line of thought is that evidence still points to the fact that the visa officer is very senior and is saddled with the responsibility of updating all refusals. So all refusals bears the signature. It's just like in banks where teller pay customers cheques. But any decision to return and not pay a cheque must be signed off by supervisor |

makano: Hello House
Of recent, we have been having complaints of this particular Visa Officer (AH03849), of how he/she refuses applications for no just reasons.. I do not wanna believe this Visa Officer is all about refusals, so I want us to do our home work as regards his/her operation and it will take our cooperation here to achieve this..
Now, this goes to the applicants here that were approved, and this will be like a give back from you to the thread that has helped you get your Visa. Now please order for your GCMS notes and when its ready share with us on this thread, let us see if this is the same Visa Officer(AH03849) that approved your application or not...
With this, we will also know if this particular Visa Officer is in charge of Nigerian applicants.. I know the approved applicants will say what is the point of ordering my GCMS notes when I have already gotten my Visa, please note you are doing the good of this thread that has blessed you with so much information prior to the time you got your Visa..
On behalf of this thread, I appeal to the approved applicants here to order for their GCMS notes, so we can carry this survey on the operation of this particular Visa Offier..
I know these Officers are watching us here, so let us make a point..
Peace I applied for my Gcms notes on 25th Oct and got ppr on the 28th Oct. Still awaiting the notes. So I will share once received. It should have details about the approval. I believe the VO being quoted may just be a senior VO that must sign off any decision to refuse. |

Jay316: yes o.thats d cheapest airline and that's the cheapest before boxing day.from 26 December to like 20th January is above 500k for the same Ethiopian airline. some days like I think 26th or 27th is up to 600k while days between 2nd of January and 5th I think are above 600k.its crazy.I wanted to really spend xmas and new year with my family and friends but had to change my mind in order to save that extra above 200k I booked for January 10th to Vancouver and it was 638k. It's still the cheapest for that period. |

Electroweb: ANNOUNCEMENT ! ANNOUNCEMENT! The eagle has landed! Study permit approval and in possession announcement. We thank God for giving us this visa. He gave us the knowledge to navigate through the maze of Canada study permit application. He will not share his glory with anybody. I say this because we tried using Immigration Lawyer from Canada but the conditions in their letter was not palatable to us. We also tried using a consultant in Nigeria, even paid consultancy fees. At the end we were discouraged and went in on our own. I also felt I could give the application a personal touch. I am my spouse put head together to draft the LOE. God used some nice people in this forum to answer our questions.
Main applicant is my spouse. Applied for Visitor visa for our 18month child. Our child’s visa is not yet out but we are believing in God. I heard that all those that applied for Visitor visa before August are advised to reapply.
Timeline Second time applicant. Was denied last year Admission deferred to this year. A 2yr diploma course. Medical done 12th May 2021 (not sure of the date though unless I check but it was upfront) Application date 14th May 2021. Correspondence letter 8th September 2021 Original passport request 8th September 2021 Sent passport through courier 15th October 2021 Correspondence letter 22nd October 2021 Passport received from courier 28th October 2021
Documents submitted Letter of explanation Sponsor letter( payslip, 4 month bank statement, employment letter, id card) 4 month Family Business Bank statement Marriage certificate Nursing registration Referral letter from my spouse’s “pro bono” beneficiaries SSCE result Commercial invoice of goods in warehouse Birth certificate of child Company registration documents C. V Letter of acceptance
Travel history USA and UK
My opinion, It is God that will decide if it will turn out positive or not because He sees the future. The race is not to the swift or the smartest. The documents we submitted are basic but it was meant to be. Just as our faces are different, the same way our application will be different. Copy and paste doesn’t work in this case. Congrats bro |

I used my wife and kids, parents and siblings, as well as an uncompleted building project as home ties. I only mentioned that wifey was working at so so place. I didn't submit her payslip, employment letter or account statement. In essence I didn't explain how they were going to sustain themselves in my absence.

My passport is already on the way to be stamped. The envelop has since been ready just waiting for the ppr request letter to send it. So immediately the golden letter arrived, I just printed and despatched.
Finally, it is not of him that runneth, neither is it of him that willeth, but of the Lord that showeth mercy. For those still expecting, your expectations shall not be cut short IJN. Amen |

I sent proof of enrollment in October via email.
This process was excruciating. I don’t do well with waiting. I’m grateful it has ended. By the mercy and favour of God, things worked out for MY GOOD! It felt like I was running out of time but God was perfecting everything.
I saw a confession here that I used to say regularly. I also had one from the Bible - Genesis 39:21
21 But the Lord was with Joseph (I PERSONALIZED THIS), and shewed him (HER) mercy, and gave him (HER) favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (CANADIAN VISA OFFICERS AND IMMIGRATION OFFICERS).
This journey is not for the faint hearted but I’m really grateful for the mercy and favour of God. All glory to God. I couldn’t have done it in my own strength!
Am I in a dream? This is surreal! Thank you Jesus. I’m really grateful to God for perfecting this testimony. I pray for those trusting God for an approval. He won’t fail you. Congratulations in advance. I celebrate with you.
PS: I wrote this timeline months ago as a declaration of my faith in the sovereign power of God. Thank you Jesus for a dream come true. Hallelujah. Alas the wait is over. Congratulations. Your faith in God has paid off. Go and conquer that land. |
