The 4th edition of Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural and Leadership Pageant. Camp Day 4 Activities kicked off with a Make up session for our beautiful contestants, followed by a photoshoot with the Moremi Collection Kimono Jacket. The contestants had diary session expressing their feelings about each other and moments they forever hold at heart. After their diary session, they started their float activities with a trip to the Akogun's Palace where the Oba welcomed them and addressed them according to their respective Idile's on the history of Edi festivals and how the Akogun's Family play an important role in the festival. The Akogun's family is Queen Moremi's Husband family. The Oba took them on a walk to the Akogun's Market and introduced them to the Baba Loja and the Iya Loja of Akogun's Market. The Akogun Market is famous for its rich sales of traditional items and it was the markets Moremi Patronised during her lifetime. Their next activity was a lecture session with Mrs. Bola Alice (Wife of former President Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo) where she spoke on Good Morals and Respecting Elders as it's very important in the Yoruba Culture. They resumed their float activities with a trip to Ori Olokun Roundabout. Ori Olokun is the river goddess and part of the three goddesses in the Yoruba Land. After their trip, the edi festival began. The girls presented their dance to the Ooni of Ife And sang song of praises to His Imperial Majesty. They also rendered songs of praises to Queen Toluhi Ore. Their last activity of the day was a walk with Kabiyesi to the Queen Moremi Ajasoro Statue. #OONI_QMA2019 #QMA_MoremiFestival

The 4th edition of Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural and Leadership Pageant. Camp Day 3 The day's activity started with a visit to Opa Oranmiyan where the custodian told the contestants the story of Oranmiyan and his relationship with Moremi. The contestants has a lot of interesting questions based on the story the custodian told. It was culturally enlightening for the contestants as they got to know more about Moremi and the reasons why she is forever engraved in the hearts of the people. The next activity for the day was a leadership educative session on Women and Political Participation. It was moderated by Professor Oluremi Sonaiya. Prof. Oluremi Sonaiya was the only 2015 female presidential candidate for KOWA party. She encouraged the contestants to aspire to make impacts in the political scene of the Nation. After the leadership training, the contestants in their respective Idile's also gave a presentation on their perception of Women and Political Participation. The contestants had their first diary session with the coordinators. Emotions filled the atmosphere as the contestants expressed their feelings and their journey so far on the platform. It was captivating and refreshing. The final phase of Day 3 activities were folktales on the lifestyle, adventures and contributions of Queen Moremi Ajasoro. It was cultural and educating. The 4th Edition of Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural and Leadership Pageant Camp Day 2 Idile alake of egba nominated idile ooni for eviction Idile ooni nominated idile alafin of oyo for eviction Idile eleko of eko evicted idile alafin of oyo for eviction Alafin of oyo nominated idile ooni for eviction Idile alafin of oyo is up for eviction . Modupe the leader of the idile Alafin of oyo was asked why they should remain in the house . We have what it takes to lead the people to a greater height. We are brave. We are confident. We are strong . We are superb. We are leaders who lead by example Thank you -Modupe akerele Idile alafin of oyo for has been evicted ! Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, addressed the contestants on the Importance of having an entrepreneurship skill and talked about how she started as a fashion entrepreneur. Idile alafin of oyo received royal pardon and would be the judges for the task . The presentation was to last for 10mins for each Idile. First presentation was by Idile omoloba ; Presentation was a playlet which was based on the story of Moremi. Second presentation was by Idile Eleko of Eko. The judges pointed out some mistakes during the presentation. Idile alake scored 50 - Up for eviction Idile Eleko scored 110. Idile Omoloba came first ! Idile Alake receives royal pardon! This would be the last royal pardon that would be granted.
