More people from that region, especially the masses, want Anioma in South East. Orlu state projecct includes parts of Southern Anambra that shares the river Niger border with Agbor in Delta north.

Okowa has told you guys that there will be no merger and that Anioma project is restricted to the 9 LGAs in Delta north, Asaba will remain the capital and the proposed Anioma will be in SS and not SE .

No part of SE shares borders with Delta state. The river Niger is the boundary that divided old western region from the old eastern region.

The talk of merging Orlu with Anioma is also to have the waterways seperating Delta from SE be ceded to SE zone.

Agbor in Delta north shares the water boundary with both Anambra and Imo state.

So this is the sinister motive of why the SE wants Agbor to be included.

If you like deny all you can. There have been talks by Ohaneze to have Orlu merge with Anioma and the capital moved to Orlu.

This is what Okowa is subtly rejecting.

The people that migrated to Delta state are the itsekiris, benis, yorubas and ijaw. The igbos, uhrobos & isokos have lived in that place for centuries. There are archival records that show that beni people ran from beni kingdom including their crowned prince after they lost a war to Ishang. South south doesn’t have a slot at all.. If another slot comes to South South in the future. ,Ijaws, Eket and other ethnic groups agitating for state creation in South South will never ever give it to Anioma because they would remind us that our time is gone..

So why are the Ibos all so invested in the Anioma project ?

Well, Okowa made a comment on how there are hidden plans to merge Anioma with Orlu state project and cede the capital from Asaba to Orlu in present Imo state.

Okowa did not reveal all these in detail but I recall one time how Ohanneze (which are somehow the main consultants on this Anioma project) once told Ned they will prefer Anioma is merged with the Orlu state project and that the future capital be moved from Asaba to Orlu in Imo state.

This is why Okowa made this statement below:

“An Asaba daughter fought for us and today we have Asaba as headquarters. Somebody who doesn’t even understand how it came suddenly wants to wish away that headquarters. It’s terrible. It’s unwise. Common sense should have told him that what he’s doing is wrong,” he stated.

Okowa knows that there are plans to have a new state capital for Anioma and it will not be in Anioma.

Okowa then concluded that Anioma must not only be restricted to the 9 LGAs that make up Delta north senatorial zone but that the proposed Anioma must remain in the SS!.

The above clearly shows that Okowa is aware of an underground plot to merge Anioma project with that of Orlu and then move the capital from Asaba to Orlu as well as zone Anioma to the SE.

If there ever was a grand land grabbing scheme this is it!

This is why they are all attacking Okowa for rejecting the foolishness that Ned is steering Anioma project towards.
