BafanaBafana: The controversy being garnered over the Amotekun issue is quite unnecessary and rather unfortunate. First of all, the federal government declares the outfit illegal which in my opinion is solely because they realized other regions might want something similar, and some regions in Nigeria can not be trusted with such an outfit. The first arrivals to the party were those who are enemies of the north and have always hated yorubas because the Yorubas have refused to join them in hating the notherners. They quickly interpreted it as a fulani vs yoruba issue and began to form some kind of solidarity with their southern brothers. Then the cattle rarer guy who began tagging the outfit as an ethnic militia targeted at his kinsmen. This is where the political engineering began. Trying to condition the minds of the hausas that the yorubas are out to war with them. Then came the online and offline protests. This was really uneccessary, but whoever planned it knew exactly what he was doing I guess. This is purely a legal matter. If the federal government says it is illegal and you agree with them, make it legal. If you disagree on the illegality with the fg, go to court and prove it is legal. Protests and coming online to shout "Amotekun is here to stay will not change anything". The only thing the protests have succeeded in doing is in giving the southwest the look of an opposition. The protests and solidarity marches are assnine ideas, totally irrelevant and unnecessary. Then finally, the Secession brouhaha is coming in. People in the southwest are now talking about breaking away. this guys may or may not be part of the political engineering process. Secession is one word hausas don't want to hear and bringing talks like that is meant to condition the average notherner to thinking that the yorubas are now the enemy and no longer the ally. All in all, it looking good for whoever is trying to undermine certain politicians from the southwest who have political ambitions for 2023. It is looking good for that nothern politician who is vigorously plotting on how to get to power in 2023. However, the next elections are still far off and we hope we will all come to our senses before then. Let me be going home jare, my beer don finish, Man U sef dey loose match
Funny thing in your write up is that you didn't even mention security of the people who have suffered immensely from fulani....

Siralgebra04: It's non-interest bank. In d meantime, I have a brief analysis here. If u burn #2,145 (15litres) fuel, say, every 3 days, then, in a year you would have expended # 260,975 fuel + #20,000 for maintenance. In 2 years u would av spent over 560k. That's too massive. I really wanted to mention on this one, the greatest victory and achievement of Muhammad Ali;
On August 2, 1990, Saddam Hussein's Iraq invaded neighboring Kuwait!
During that time, Hussein prevented most of the foreigners to leave Iraq and also brought foreigners captured in Kuwait to Iraq.
The hostages were mostly citizens of Western countries critical of the Iraqi invasion and many worked at the Baghdad General Motors plant.
The UN gave Hussein a deadline ( January 16th) to pull out of Kuwait and the 15 Americans ( working for General Motors), were moved to strategic locations inside Iraq!
According to Hussein’s strategy, they were about to be used as human shields in the event of retaliatory strikes from the multinational force that was growing larger by the day.
In October, Hussein released the foreign women and children held in Iraq, but still the US State Department, feared that during their engagement with Iraqi forces, they would be killed.
And that is exactly the event I am willing to talk about;
Mohamed Ali ( born Cassius Clay), the “Greatest of all Champions”, was highly regarded in the Islamic world, for his conversion and his personality and skills by all the known World, so he ( Ali ) came to Baghdad, to negotiate for the life of the hostages with the Iraqi Goverment (meaning Sadam)!
Many were critical of Ali's trip for different politically and strategically important reasons, but he confirmed them l, he was only interested on saving the hostages life…
By 1990, Ali had been fighting Parkinson's Disease for six years, suffering from tremors and a slurred speech and he had to use hand signs to communicate, so the Media lynched him!
Still, during his visits in Iraq, managed to visit schools, talk to people on the streets, and pray in Baghdad's mosques. Crowds flocked to him wherever he went and he never turned anyone away. It would be part of his promise to Saddam to trade hostages for an "honest account."
He ran out of his Parkinson's medication but stayed in the country until he could meet with the Iraqi dictator.
He was bedridden for days at a time. His trip was far from a publicity stunt as "The Greatest" was suffering but refusing to leave until he could attempt to get the hostages released.
Fortunately an English hospital in Baghdad replenished Ali's medication just before Saddam Hussein agreed to meet with him.
Finally, after risking, his reputation, health and safety for the freedom of prisoners held by Hussein’s regime, after six weeks of a real champion effort, Ali brought 15 hostages back home to their relieved families!
