I wouldn't consider a man who holds onto such tradition of proposal as very possessive or inconsiderate about the lady's feelings. Why? Because it is still a very wide spread tradition in many parts of the world. You can't really call him a control freak for still holding onto traditions that happen around him everyday with few if any exceptions.

Where's he to get the idea that it's actually okay if he hasn't seen people do it without dying of emasculation?

But with time, as it happens with many things, it will become more common place and many of them will not find it odd or emasculating that the lady proposes.
Then you can judge him if you want

This happens everyday if u must knw, it must not be verbally, ladies propose to guy by their actions this days, which is widely known by u and me.
Is not so conspicuous Becos it's not verbal but is very pronounced by actions.
Accept this change after all we are in the era of change. Change with it wink

See, I don't support this idea of ladies asking guys out or going out of their way to prove themselves.

It is good for a lady to maintain her lane, and see how serious the guy is. Then she can now bring herself to love up on him.

Personally I do not see any problem with that except in a situation where the dude shows reasons where if u venture in that act, u loose ur dignity in his eyes.
And again what happens to introverts like us who find it difficult to air their views when it has to do with the hrt.
For some of us when a woman does that, she earns more respect from us, not to say she becomes the man in the relationship "NO NO"
Rather her opinions are held in high esteem.

Well said brother. I will add ladies should learn to contribute in a man's life value-wise. I don't know about other guys, but sincerely, sex is just no way to connect with me. There has to be something you offer that isn't readily available elsewhere.

Personally, I am a chronic lover-boy, romance or romantic personified, albeit they often abused it, thus my resolve to hide that part of me... I love a woman who has a mind of her own, who believe she can work to earn something no matter how small, one who strive to better her lot, without a man in it.

I also don't like ladies whom, when asked a question, they reply with "I don't know" no matter how simple the question is. It shows level of shallowness, inability to make decisions.
