Sports / NPFL Club Heartland FC Banned By LMC by donfiazo(m): 8:37pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=35359#.Xk6fB9gbn-g.twitter The League Management Company LMC has restricted Heartland Football Club from registering new players in the next two registration periods, meaning they wouldn't be able to make signings, allnigeriasoccer.com understands. The Imo State sponsored side were found culpable after failing to comply with their financial obligations with Okereke Mmaduabuchi Peter and goalkeeper Alfred Oluwasegun Fatunwase. The players lodged a formal complaints to the League governing body on issues bordering on overdue payables and wrongful termination of contract totaling Nine Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand due to Okereke Mmaduabuchi Peter and the sum of Six million, two hundred and fifty thousand naira in a letter dated 5th November, 2019. After a thorough check and investigation by the LMC, it was established that Heartland breached the overdue payable rules as stipulated in Rule B9.45 of the Framework and rules guiding the Nigeria Professional Football League. As well as breaching Rule B9.45.1 which frowns at clubs failing to comply with financial obligations with players, Heartland also breached Rule B9.45.2, having delayed payments due to the player for more than thirty days. In the verdict dated 17th February 2020 and signed by LMC'S Chief Operating Officer Salihu Abubakar, which is inline with Rule C15 of the Frameworks and Rules of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Heartland were ordered to pay Okereke Mmaduabuchi Peter a total sum of Eight Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira being salary arrears for June, July and August 2019 as well as compensation for wrongful termination of contract and Alfred Oluwasegun Fatunwase the sum of Five Million, four hundred thousand naira being salary arrears for June, July and August 2019 as well as compensation for wrongful termination of contract. LMC also confirmed that Heartland will not be able to sign or register new players for the next two registration periods except they pay up the total sum of Thirteen Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira due to these players before the transfer period. The players' intermediary Mr. Eddie Iseri Ogbemudia commended the LMC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko for working the talk. "I must commend the LMC Chairman who was surprised when I brought these issues to his attention, he said the meeting held with all NPFL clubs, emphasis was on the players welfare, special thanks to the LMC Compliant Unit too who took time to investigate and see to it that these boys get their due entitlements." Also speaking one of the players Mr Okereke Mmaduabuchi Peter commended LMC and his intermediary. He said he never thought this will be a reality as most NPFL clubs are in the habit of terminating players contract at will. It will be recalled that Mr Eddie Ogbemudia also petitioned Sunshine Stars FC on behalf of his clients Stanley Dimgba Sopuruchi and Ojo Mine and the LMC banned Sunshine from registering players when they failed to meet financial obligations to Dimgba and Ojo. Sunshine subsequently traveled to Lobi Stars with only 11 players in 2018 and they were thrashed 6-0 by the Pride Of Benue. Bayo Adegboyega |
Sports / Etebo Oghenekaro, Victor Osimhen, John Ogu Lights Up Grand Finale Of Summer Camp by donfiazo(m): 4:45pm On Jul 26, 2019 |
*ETEBO OGHENEKARO, VICTOR OSIMHEN, JOHN OGU LIGHTS UP GRAND FINALE OF SUMMER CAMP WITH ETEBO* The Legacy pitch at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos was a behive of activities on Thursday as three members of the bronze Winning squad of Super Eagles Of Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations in Egypt inspired hundreds of kids at the Grand finale of an event tagged "Summer Camp With Etebo", put together by SpringSoca Academy and Etebo Oghenekaro Peter Foundation. The aim of the Summer Camp was achieved, as the kids, most of who came with their parents and relatives had the opportunity to relate and play with the professionals, and many of them said it was their greatest moment ever. Others said they will forever cherish the moment and would always make reference to the exercise in years to come. Super Eagles trio Etebo, Osimhen and Ogu as well as the manager of Victor Osimhen, Mr. Ariyo Igbayilola engaged the kids in sessions, trained, tutored and also played with them. Stoke City Midfielder Etebo Oghenekaro who was the main figure appreciated his teammates for turning up, he also apologized on behalf of Turkey based Henry Onyekuru who was stuck in traffic and had to return home halfway. Etebo said "This is huge and massive, I must firstly appreciate the kids because they are the reason why we are here, kudos to their parents for allowing them come out to partake in this summer camp, and hopefully, we can do this regularly." "I already told the players that talent alone is not enough, I grew up from the streets and based on that, I'm in the best position to talk to them, they are talented, but hard work needs to come in, and I wish them all the best in their chosye career.". On his part, former Hapoel Beer Sheva strong man John Ogu said "It feels good to know we can inspire the kids through something like this, we didn't have the mentorship opportunity while coming up, and with that, the kids are destined for greatness." Sporting Charleroi Point man and former FIFA Under 17 World Cup goal king Victor Osihmen opined that "Mentorship is key, it shapes one's life irrespective of the career path, this is a laudable project embarked upon by Etebo Oghenekaro, I key into this idea and I will always be part of it.". Chairman Etebo Oghenekaro Peter Foundation, Mr Endurance Iseri Ogbemudia said " The partnership we have with SpringSoca has started yielding, this project will be on the lips of many people for a very long time. I appreciate our principal Etebo Oghenekaro for creating time out of his obvious tight schedule to be here, I also say thank you to Ogu John and Victor Osihmen, may everything they lay their hands on continue to prosper." Chairman of SpringSoca Academy, Mr Dapo Emmanuel said he was short of words due to what he saw, he said "I am the happiest man on Earth today, I just want to say thank you to everyone who made this a success". Sports / Why Most NPFL Footballers Prefer To Ply Their Trade In Obscure League Abroad by donfiazo(m): 12:38pm On Sep 21, 2017 |
http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=24709#.WcN21A9V7hs.twitter Professional Football League outfit Sunshine Stars might come under the hammer of the League Management Company over unpaid wages to former Nigeria U23 international Stanley Dimgba and Ojo Mine. The Akure based side could be banned from registering new players and other disciplinary actions for flaunting Section B Article 9.45 of the 2015-2016 NPFL-LMC Framework and Rules. The aforementioned players are being owed approximately N6 million by Sunshine Stars and they are passing through difficult times, with Mine kicked out of his house and arrested by the Police this week due to accumulated unpaid rent. The players' intermediary Endurance Ogbemudia explained to allnigeriasoccer.com : '' In December 2016, we wrote officially to the League Management Company of the indebtedness of Sunshine Stars to my clients Stanley Dimgba and Ojo Mine in wages and other remuneration amounting to about N3 million each, which is a total of N6 million for both of them. ''They were contracted to Sunshine Stars in the 2015-16 season and terminated their contracts over unpaid wages which LMC wrote Sunshine FC on the indebtedness without responses. ''Most NPFL players are passing through a lot in Nigeria, reason they will prefer to move to an obscure league abroad where their salaries are certain rather than work in Nigeria and suffer to get their wages. ''It is time LMC halt this ugly trend being perpetrated by these clubs which is affecting the development of the league and image of the NPFL.'' Ogbemudia added that the abnormalities were brought to the attention of Shehu Dikko, but the Chairman of the LMC directed him to the Compliance Officer, who assured him that the issue is being given the necessary attention. But at this moment, Dimgba and Mine are yet to get a dime of their hard earned money from Sunshine Stars. |

Sports / Oliseh Quits As Super Eagles Coach by donfiazo(m): 2:56am On Feb 26, 2016 |
Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has resigned as coach of the Super Eagles with immediate effect. In a letter sent to the Nigeria Football Federation on Thursday, Oliseh tendered his resignation and thanked the NFF for the opportunity to serve the country in the capacity he did. Oliseh, who took over the Super Eagles job in July 2015, has had a topsy-turvy relationship with the NFF and also had a run-in with a few players. His tenure as coach was characterized by incessant tiffs with the football ruling house that culminated in an eight minute rant on social media chiding agents, journalists and his assistants whom he claimed where working against him after Nigeria’s ouster at the 2016 CHAN tournament in Rwanda. Supersport.com scooped that Oliseh sent in his resignation after collecting the back-log of his salaries which were owed him by the NFF. Dr Mohammed Sanusi, General Secretary of the NFF, confirmed to supersport.com that the former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder has indeed resigned from his post as the coach of the Super Eagles. “Yes, we have received a letter from him and I can tell you he has resigned as coach of the national team (Super Eagles),”he said. “I can tell you the content of the letter yet because we haven’t met to deliberate on it. We are in Zurich for the Fifa congress as soon as we are through with the meeting, you will be in the know,”Sanusi added. Supersport.com will keep you posted as the story develops.
