https://i0.wp.com/9jahitscity.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/instagram.jpg?resize=300%2C162 Would you like to know how your business can use the popular sharing site Instagram? This article provides five ways to use Instagram to enhance your marketing. Why Instagram? In the last few years, the use of Instagram by companies has skyrocketed. With millions of users, Instagram has become the perfect opportunity for brands to get quick messages and photos to their target audiences. When Instagram started out, it was simply a way to post pictures with your fans and did not have a lot of marketing value. However, in the last few years Instagram has proven to be an effective platform for marketers to reach a new audience in a way the audience wants to be marketed to: with visuals and short messages. Search for “marketing” on Instagram. When creating your marketing strategy, do not forget about this great—yet underutilized— platform. Here are five ways that you can use Instagram to achieve your marketing goals. 1: Use Instagram Profiles to Reach a Wider Audience Users waited a long time for Instagram to have a web presence in addition to the mobile app. Even though Instagram is now available on both Android and iPhone devices, there are still many people who would like access to it on the web. The launch of Instagram profiles in November 2012 gave marketers an opportunity to market on other devices besides mobile. Instagram pictures provide a great collage and give your audience a better insight into your company. You can promote anything your company may be doing—from products/ services to employees to customers to conferences. Take advantage of the increased real estate you have with the Instagram web page to tell a story with the images. Have a healthy balance of fun images and business pictures. Use your Instagram profile to make it easy for everyone to see your story. You may want to include pictures with calls to action to your website or pictures of employees working and give some information about what they do for the company. Think strategically about how your Instagram account looks once all of the pictures are put together on one page. 2: Create Engagement with Contests Instagram has become a popular platform to use for photo contests. Contests are easy to do on Instagram. Companies can easily ask users to use a particular hashtag for the contest by tagging their pictures. It’s easy to search through pictures, ask other people to vote for their favorite pictures and pick a winner. Just like any other social media platform, it’s important to regularly post engaging content And also consider creating a contest to remind fans of why they should follow your brand. It’s a great way to influence engagement. 3: Reward Followers with Discounts When posting your pictures, think about something that will keep your audience’s attention and have them coming back for more. Reward your followers for looking at your pictures and reading the descriptions. For some companies, that’s a contest; for other companies, that may be including discounts or promo codes. Before adding discounts to your campaign, think about whether they are relevant to your audience. If they are, find unique or creative ways to share them on Instagram. Not only will your followers appreciate the codes, but Instagram is also a creative way to give them away. 4: Feature Your Customers There’s nothing like seeing a friendly face on social media when you are looking at a company’s page. Customers are your brand’s greatest advocates and are a great way to tell your company’s story from the perspective of someone outside the company. With hundreds or thousands of reviews available online about your company, products or services, it’s only fair to include some reviews of your own, right from your customers. Use Instagram to take a quick picture of your customers and showcase a sneak peek into what the experience with your brand is like. Use Instagram to feature your customers to facilitate and improve the connection you have with your audience. In addition to making your customers happy, you will put a face to your brand—something that is valuable for your audience. 5: Get More Interest in Your Events The goal of any event or trade show is to attract people to teach them about your product and service and hopefully turn them into customers. Instagram can help with that goal to give event attendees a visual and location for your event. Most conferences have a hashtag that attendees can follow on Twitter and Instagram that can be used to show others everything that’s going on, whether it’s visual or in 140 characters. Adding Instagram to your event marketing mix can help you reach more people, get more people to visit your booth and increase engagement with your audience. By following the hashtag of the conference, attendees are drawn to your Instagram shot and able to locate your booth quicker. At small or large conferences, this can come in handy to stand out from the crowd. When thinking about your marketing strategy for an event, figure out your messaging and also use your booth number. Put your booth number on every piece of collateral you give out and make it easy to find online. This means when you are tweeting, posting on Facebook or using Instagram, you’ll make it as easy as possible for conference attendees to find the location of your booth (and possibly provide them with a visual to entice them even more). Add Instagram to Your Marketing Tools Between using it at events, for promotions, and most importantly, to connect with your customers and prospects, it should be on your list of platforms to use. Customers want a personal experience with a brand that is engaging and accessible. Instagram allows the brand to do this in real time while giving users a different experience than customers using other platforms. To download Instagram, visit their web page and begin connecting with other people and companies in your industry. This is a great way to get examples of what you could do, and then adopt it yourself. http://www.starzhit.com/tech/5-ways-earn-money-using-instagram/ |

Narrating the unusual experience to The Nation, Bankole who has been married to Oluwabunmi since August 2011 said “We were full of hope about having children and raising a complete family. But we had to wait till August 2013 before she got pregnant exactly two years after. We went for pregnancy test and it was confirmed positive. A few days after, my wife complained that she was feeling pains in her womb. We went to a midwife who told us that the pain was not a problem; that the pregnancy was intact. I was not satisfied, so I took her to another hospital (name withheld) where we did a scan but the doctor said he didn’t see any pregnancy. The doctor said there had been a miscarriage. I asked him that shouldn’t there be an outflow of blood if she had a miscarriage? The doctor said yes. I told him that we had not witnessed anything like that and he was shocked.”. Worried by the doctor’s report, Bankole decided to seek spiritual help and so he went to meet with the pastor of his church, Prophet Emmanuel Ogbara, who assured him that God had told him the pregnancy was intact. A couple of weeks later, Bankole went back with his wife to the hospital but they were told that what she had in her womb was fibroid. They left for the General Hospital, Gbagada, where they were asked to see a gynaecologist. Again, the gynaecologist told them that what he saw in Oluwabunmi’s stomach was multiple fibroid with no chance of conception. “All this while, my wife’s menstruation had ceased,” Bankole said. “It was only once after the pregnancy was sighted that we observed that little blood came out but stopped almost immediately. We left there for the Government Hospital in Owode, Ogun State. Thereafter, we returned for a scan session. The gynaecologist said there were three sets of fibroid where the baby ought to be, but that the way my wife looked, she appeared like a woman who was ready for delivery. He said he would act fast and do an x-ray that would reveal more. That was on March 25, 2014. We did the x-ray but we were told that though they believed in God, from all medical indications, there was no more pregnancy in the womb. They said the uterus was elongated, blocked with a concentration of urine fibroid and the white fallopian tube was outlined. They concluded that it was fibroid. I asked if she could get pregnant and they said no.” Meanwhile, Oluwabunmi’s stomach had protruded as if she was due for delivery. Bankole said he could not even think of sleeping with his wife because of the delicate nature of her condition all through the period. “There was pressure from all corners, family, friends and well-wishers, who all had their suggestions as to the solution. Some said we were hearing wrongly from God,” he said. Asked if he was not afraid that his wife would die in the process of waiting for a baby, he said: “I did not worry about death at all. I was only more inspired to wait on God. As a matter of fact, we stopped going for medical opinion. As far as we were concerned, they had no good news for us, so we resorted to our church and prayer. On the 10th of September, 2015, my wife became terribly ill with signs of labour. I had to look for any hospital in sight because her condition was bad. That was how we got to this hospital. After giving her the initial treatment, we were told to go for another scan. To the glory of God, the doctor here said he had seen a baby; that my wife was carrying four months pregnancy.” But the mystery was how the pregnancy could be four months old when he was not making love to his wife, and his wife’s protruding stomach was there for all to see? “At the church, the prophet confirmed again that the child had all along been there; only that scan could not pick it. So the hospital continued to nurture the baby for antenatal. But here again, they still saw fibroid in the womb. But to the glory of God 27th January this year, our baby finally arrived,” Bankole said. But that was not all. During the delivery, the baby was said to have “got lost” in the womb. The hospital’s matron said: “We had to do an operation. When we did, we found that contrary to scan reports, we met a different thing in the womb. It was a sac with pus inside. It was not fibroid. And looking inside, we didn’t see any baby. But I remembered that I used to hear sound inside Mrs Ogidan’s womb, so the doctor searched further; the baby was hidden in the uterus. We thank God. It’s a miracle. The sac was so big that it swallowed up the uterus where the baby was. The sac was so big that the uterus could not be easily found. The doctor said he had never seen such a thing before.” Speaking on the uniqueness of Oluwabunimi’s pregnancy, Dr Sam Akinyemi, a consultant on naturopathic gynaecologist, “This is an abnormal medical record. But nothing is impossible in this world. All homo sapiens must take note of that. It is the joy of every pregnant woman that at 40 weeks or before then, the woman must fall into labour. When it does not happen, it becomes a major concern to the physician and the patient herself. In natural medical gynaecology, we have had cases of that nature. It can be the result of retardation in hormonal production in the pregnant patient or mother. And metaphysically, nature won’t seize to amaze us in its power.” http://www.starzhit.com/weird/photo-woman-delivers-baby-four-year-old-pregnancy-ogun/ |

A man who changed his signature to a drawing of a penis “for a laugh” has lost a five-year battle with Australian authorities for it to be recognised. Jared Hyams scrawled the eyebrow-raising moniker at the bottom of a form for the Australian Electoral Commission as a joke. But he had no idea it would land him in a five-year legal battle with various authorities to accept it as a signature. He said: “I thought it would be a laugh; they would approve it and next year I would sign something different. “But when I did this signature all of a sudden the shit hit the fan. I was receiving letters and phone calls telling me I couldn’t have it. I thought, that’s interesting, why not?” So the 33-year-old Melbourne man did what anyone would do – he signed up to study for a law degree, determined to take on the Australian government. He ‘adopted’ the phallic symbol as his own signature and used it to successfully applied for an licence to drive in Victoria, a government proof of age card, a health care card and various student cards. The joker even opened a bank account bearing his newfound tag. But some agencies didn’t share his sense of humour – VicRoads, who process licences for drivers, initially rejected his signature. Jared fought his case twice, but both times were thrown out by a magistrate. The scrawl only appear on his licence when it ‘slipped through the net’. The Department of Trade and Foreign Affairs refused him a passport bearing the symbol and warned it “could constitute sexual harassment” of staff. And the Department of Justice rejected his application for a Working With Children criminal check – but Jared admitted he has “sensitivity” to their decision. So far, Jared has had no luck in using the scribbled penis to change his address on the electoral roll – even after taking on the lengthy battle himself. He maintains he’ll continue to fight the authorities until they no longer object to his signature. Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission announced they would be including their victory in the “rather novel” case in their annual report. See more ID he used it on here===== http://www.starzhit.com/weird/man-used-pnis-signature-driving-licence-loses-right-use/ lalasticlala

Reports just reaching Starzhit.com reveal that on Tuesday, December 22, various pro-Biafra groups merged to form one umbrella body and initiate what they named a “shadow government”. Pro-Biafra groups have allegedly merged to form a new government. (File Photo: IPOB protest in Lagos) The merging pro-Biafra groups said they would function as an interim customary and legitimate organization, affirming that they would not break any Nigerian laws. Breaking Times reports that the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) as well as other pro- Biafra movements merged under one umbrella body named the Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (CGIPB), a development which brought much jubilation to the agitators. Operations for the CGIPB were flagged off at a government secretariat in Enugu state. A press statement made it clear that the governing council of the IPOB remains functional, with leaders as follows: HRM, the Honourable Justice Eze Ozobu, OFR (Chairman); Dr Dozie Ikedife, OON, JP (Deputy Chair man); Brig Gen Joe Achuzia, (Secretary-General); HRM, Eze Iheanyi Nwokenna, OFG, JP (Public Relations Officer), with other members of the council still on duty. The statement reads: ‘‘We are happy to announce that the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra has commenced operations at the Government Secretariat located at Enugu, in the interim” “All the ministries are located within the complex but liaison offices shall be opened in all parts of Biafra land, for easy coordination”. ‘‘The Supreme Council of Elders of Indigenous People of Biafra has approved a 24-member National Executive Council (NEC) that will run the government. The NEC will consist of the representatives from all pro-Biafra groups and all the provinces in Biafra land so that none will be excluded.” ’The junior staff officers of the CGIPB have commenced work at the Secretariat but the Director of Administration and Principal Officers of the Customary Government shall be announced to the public soon. ‘’The Biafran Government has taken off under Customary Law within the Nigerian Legal System. It is similar to the Sharia Government in the North. We shall not break any Nigerian law. It is a transitional government. ‘’Everything we do is legal. All the Indigenous People of Biafra are therefore advised to submit themselves to the authority of the Government of Indigenous People of Biafra headed by the supreme council of elders,’’ the statement concluded. It has previously been reported that the process of forming the cabinet of Biafra is ongoing and will soon be announced. The report by Biara Times also announced that there would be a secret meeting with a UN committee on the arranging of newly emerging Africa states. http://www.starzhit.com/naijanews/biafra-pro-biafrans-unite-to-form-new-government/

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has revealed
that Nigeria lost about $1bn (N197bn) every month under
former President Goodluck Jonathan. Emir Sanusi, a former CBN Governor, said this during a programme titled ‘How a cancer of corruption steals Nigerian oil, weapons and lives’, which aired on The PBS NewsHour, an American daily evening television show. He said many shady deals took place under the ex-Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is now being investigated in the United Kingdom. Below are the words of Sanusi: “In Nigeria, there is no accountability at all and that is why I think Nigeria’s corruption is worse than corruption in most parts of the world. It is the worst type of corruption. It’s stealing. “Frankly, I think a billion dollars under Jonathan a month was about what we were losing.” Sanusi alleged that during Alison-Madueke’s tenure as petroleum minister, people paid as low as $50m for access to crude oil blocs valued at over $2bn. Explaining how some of the shady deals took place, Sanusi said, “Basically, all it does is allow a group of people, who themselves don’t have any kind of operating background, to pay $50m for access to the crude oil in blocs, valued at over $2bn and they just take the crude oil, ship it out and don’t return the money and there is no trace of where the money has gone. “Someone gets a contract to lift crude from the terminals to the refineries and in between, that crude is stolen; it is stolen on the high sea. “If she goes to court and is jailed for example, it sends a signal; I think that there is a day of reckoning.” The US television show quoted United States and UK authorities as saying that Alison-Madueke might have “personally overseen the stealing of $6bn. The most common method is awarding oil contracts to companies owned by friends.” It said the second most common method of stealing oil was to make oil ships disappear mysteriously. Yesterday, some Nigerian football fans were expelled from a football stadium in Senegal for displaying Biafran flags. The fans were expelled minutes after they displayed Biafran flags alongside Nigerian flags at a football match between Nigeria and Algeria at the U-23 African Cup of Nations holding in Dakar, the Senegalese capital. The Senegalese football association officials considered the display of the Biafran flags at the Leopold Sedar Senghor stadium “a militant act”. As a result, the Vice President of the Senegalese Football Federation, FSF, Amadou Kane, who was in charge of the organisation, ordered security officials to respond by tearing down the Biafran flags and posters and expelling the supporters involved. Senegalese FA officials said the group took advantage of the presence of the media at the stadium to raise the Biafran flag. Dressed in T-shirts with the Biafra logo, eye witnesses said the group “invaded” the left wing of the covered pavilion to flaunt the Biafran flag alongside that of Nigeria. They later displayed a large flag calling for Biafran autonomy. The match eventually ended 0-0 with Nigeria coming second in Group B with five points, behind Algeria. Nigeria will face Senegal in the semi-final next week while Algeria will battle South Africa. Reporting live from www.starzhit.com
