Msauza: You can never deny the reports by the Human rights watch who confirmed it even with satellites images that Nigerian troops killed hundreds of civilians on purpose. If you claim such reports were untrue why thousands of refugees from Nigeria have fled to Niger as we speak?

Massacre as confirmed by the Human Rights Watch through satellite images which can clearly be seen here under:
http://ireports-ng.com/2013/05/01/baga-massacre-human-rights-watch-alleges-cover-up-says-satellite-images-confirm-183-civilians-killed-2390-houses-burnt-by-soldiers-seeks-prosecution-of-military-officers-involved/
Stop fooling yourself with recycled materials. You claim a Nigerian is not appointed because our military is been maliciously accused by threatened enemies and you fail to address the fact that the Rwandan Military is not close to ours in credibility yet the UN appoints them. Look id.iot, just accept that the claim you made was made in ignorance and you'll get pardoned. As for the recycling you're doing regarding Baga, Nigerian satelites also saw Baga and have challenged HRW and co, why are they wasting time to take us to court, we have been waiting, let them come.

CraigB: This explanation/rant of yours is relevant, how? It advances the debate, how?

Naai-gerians love taking confusion that they are battling with inside their own minds and making it everyone's problem.

Where on earth was it stated that you didn't pull out freely? Of course you did. Pulling out freely and success aren't necessarily correlated. You failed in your mission. You had volunteered for a mission. You submitted to a mission of nations and then you failed to stay the course. Simple.

Now, at the end of the day, all your arguments about withdrawing in protest have fallen away because your government has denied this. You all lied.

You withdrew because you were overstretched. This is the only official position. Your troops are needed back home.

The stuff about being ill treated was smoke and mirrors. So keep your rant. It's not needed around these parts.
Please do us a favour and answer this: 1. WHAT MISSION DID WE AGREE TO AND ARE LATER PULLING OUT(BE SPECIFIC)? 2. GIVE THE NAME OF THE NIGERIAN OFFICIAL THAT GAVE THAT OFFICIAL REASON(NOT SPECULATIONS)

Mike..ZA:
Nigerian commanders won't be chosen cause they allow or tell their troops to kill suspicious innocent civilians, like you're doing now in northern Nigeria.
What a shallow mind. First all accusations of Nigerian Military mass killings are false. Second does the Rwandan Army have a better operational record that Nigeria? I shouldn't tell you the history of the Rwandan Army, from clear genocide to sponsoring and training rebels to destabilise other nations? You realy amaze me, lets not even go that angle of arguement because you'll lose and remain foolish and even make the UN look most foolish.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Donian007: 8:48am On Jul 20, 2013
CraigB: Rub*sh argument. This is a UN mission. Not a Naai-gerian mission. You volunteered to be part of the mission.
Little wonder you have been making senseless posts. I understand you ignorance. A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE: Nigeria has never made any pledge to be part of MINUSMA(UN), Nigeria went to Mali as AFISMA(ECOWAS) not MINUSMA(UN), MINUSMA was newly formed. UN has decided that AFISMA and France who are PEACE ENFORCERS are done, so a PEACE KEEPING OPERATION is now needed, hence AFISMA is over. All AFISMA nations now have the choice to either pull out or stay put.

CraigB: However, a source said that President
Jonathan ordered Nigeria’s withdrawal
in protest against “ill treatment of own
troops and non recognition of the roles
it has been playing in the search for
global peace. Nigeria was shabbily treated despite its role in efforts to
stabilise the situation in Mali. The
President has no choice but to order
that the troops be withdrawn. The
modalities for the withdrawal are now
being worked out now. Look, left to the military, Nigerian troops would have
been home by now. But our diplomats
are sorting out the procedural issues
involved. Otherwise, we are out.”

_____

1. The red = not official.

2. The other reasons (you said all 3) are supported by which statements.

____

The only official reason has been that you need the personnel for the anti-BH effort.

Please then, give us the links supporting your argument.
Give us the name of that Nigerian official who gave that "OFFICIAL REASON?" And if no Nigerian official is found then you know what? YOU ARE A MAG.GOT!

If Prof. Chinua Achebe with his Nigerian education didn't write that book ... who knows where this SA and it's people would have been in terms of the mental oppression received at the hands of their minority rulers?

I can't count how many times CraigB has unsuccessfully thrown-in the name Okonkwo just to score desperate points. Nonetheless, Okonkwo will remain the only character the resonates across Africa's people who had to fight-off mental and socio-economic colonisation and oppression by early European adventurers. I can bet that "Things Fall Apart" and it's main character must have dealt CraigB's brain some good personal lessons.

Obviously!!
I am patiently waiting to congratulate him the day he makes any sensible posts.

Your "last post" remains irrelevant, just like your whole argument.

The point is that our South African system is trusted. Naai-geria's system is NOT.

___

Regarding your irrelevant point: It's not as if the 98% percent Naai-gerians that fail WAEC don't have to keep going back grin

And then in addition to that, they still have to bridge, because they have been graded by a system the rigour of which is in doubt.

What a waste of my time.
Hmm! Been watching calmly. Good to know that this your new Nigerian "98%" debacle is just in a bid to console yourself out of the shameful SA's "33%" Naijapikingidi reavealed. HMMM! SMHM!

http://www.irinnews.org/report/98426/call-for-icc-probe-into-nigerian-military

DAKAR, 16 July 2013 (IRIN) - As Nigeria attempts a ceasefire with militant Islamist group Boko Haram (BH), analysts warn against a blanket amnesty and urge that an expanded International Criminal Court (ICC) probe include alleged abuses by the military.

The ceasefire is being negotiated by a government panel set up to develop an amnesty for BH, but details as to when the truce will be signed, whether all the BH factions have agreed to it, or if the amnesty has played a role in the planned ceasefire, remain sketchy.
And who are the anonimous or non-existent analysts, who is HRW, we know all these dubiousity. Let them come, our satelites saw Baga and disgraced their lies now they have jumped to a 2010 report, they should go summon B. A Assad, USA for using drones to wipe innocent civilians in Yemen, Pakistan, etc. GET IT IN YOUR DAMN DEAD BRAIN, ICC WILL DO NOTHING. ASK THE WRITER OF THAT NEWSREPORT TO BURN IN HEL.L

_____

Okonkwo is a self-made, well-respected member of the Umuofia clan. Though outwardly stern and powerful, much of his life is dictated by internal fear. His greatest, overwhelming worry is that he will become like his father – lazy, unable to support his family, and cowardly. Okonkwo considers many of his father’s characteristics to be feminine. Much of Okonkwo’s behavior results from a reactionary desire to be completely unlike his father. This means that Okonkwo attempts to work hard, provide for his family materially, be brave, and be masculine in every possible way. As a result, Okonkwo’s becomes successful in many ways – he becomes very wealthy, holds a high-ranked position in the community, has three wives, and is known for his skill as a wrestler and warrior. But he also tends toward emotions that are extreme, and his fear motivates him to take actions which are often unnecessary and ultimately destructive. His fear of being feminine leads him to assist in the murder of Ikemefuna whom he loved, to beat his wives, be emotionally distant from his children, and to disown his oldest son.

As an uncompromising man’s man, Okonkwo’s relationship towards his family is one of complete dictatorship. His three wives are there to serve him his food and raise his children. By seeing them as his subjects, Okonkwo can justify his brutal behavior against them. He can beat his wives without guilt. He can threaten Ekwefi with a gun when she talks back. He can rebuke Nwoye for listening to old wives’ tales. This sense of ownership is exemplified when Okonkwo takes Ikemefuna’s life. Though he does have qualms about killing Ikemefuna, they are not qualms about whether or not he has the right to do it. Okonkwo feels complete ownership over his family.

There is, however, the problem of love and intimacy. Okonkwo rarely shows these aspects of himself since he considers emotion soft and feminine – but the emotions are there nonetheless. The fact that he lies to Ikemefuna to protect the boy from fear and later feels guilty about killing him are proof of that Okonkwo isn’t devoid of positive human emotions. But, whenever there is a clash between showing true emotion and maintaining the show of his strength, Okonkwo will always go with the latter.

Okonkwo tries to follow the laws of the clan. Whenever he breaks them – either deliberately through a loss of temper or inadvertently as in shooting the boy – he never questions the punishments brought upon him. Okonkwo abides by his punishment whether or not he thinks they are fair. This is one way of maintaining his honor and reputation. He reads the laws literally, unlike his father who bent the rules and tried to circumvent certain aspects of the law.

Thus we come to one of the central conflicts in the novel: the divide between Okonkwo’s personal pride and the actions forced on him by the external social laws of the Umuofia. His final act of suicide is the ultimate demonstration of things falling apart because it is the first and only time that Okonkwo purposefully and calculatedly breaks the clan laws. As a character, Okonkwo remains pretty consistent throughout the book. We see no sudden changes in behavior or mindset; in fact, that may be Okonkwo’s problem – his inability to adapt or compromise his ethics to changing situations that call for more tolerance or compassion. Okonkwo, whose sense of pride and dignity continues until the end, chooses to live and die on his own terms rather than submit to the white man. For Okonkwo, giving in would be against so much of what he has stood for – courage, tradition, and manliness.
Hmmm, good to know you've spent lots of quality time with Nigerian books.

SA soldiers 'in the middle' of DRC battle

South African soldiers are in the middle of a "very intense firefight", caught between M23 rebels and government forces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Fighting erupted anew in the war-torn east of the DRC on Sunday and continued yesterday after about 100 armed men disguised in women's clothing entered the country from Rwanda, said local sources.

Soldiers of 6 SA Infantry Battalion have been deployed in the DRC in a United Nations "intervention brigade''.

The intervention brigade consists of 2069 soldiers, of whom 850 are South African, and falls under the authority of the UN's broader 19000-strong Monusco peacekeeping mission in the Congo.

Unlike the peacekeeping force, the brigade, which also has Tanzanian and Malawian contingents, has been mandated to engage any group that tries to destabilise the region.

Lieutenant-Colonel Felix Prosper Basse, a spokesman for the Monusco force, said yesterday that the South Africans were ''in the middle'' of the fierce fighting around Goma, the provincial capital.

"The [Monusco] operational base in Monigi has always been a South African base. It is on a hill dominating Goma," said Basse.

The South African troops have been involved in two other clashes in the past week, sparked when another rebel group, the Mai Mai, attacked a nearby M23 base.

"The M23 repelled the attack and the Mai Mai turned and started to shoot at civilians and the blue helmets [UN soldiers] to intimidate them. The blue helmets fired warning shots but when they kept on coming we engaged them," said Basse.

One rebel was killed in the fighting and two others were wounded.

On Wednesday the exact same scenario played out, ending in four rebels being wounded and a child soldier being captured.

DRC government forces have been involved in heavy fighting against the M23 rebels since Sunday. Basse said "very intense firefighting" had started at about 2pm on Sunday in Motahu, about 8km north of Goma.

"[Heavy calibre weapons] were used, including multiple-rocket launchers, mortars and artillery. The fighting lasted about four hours," said Basse. On Sunday night explosions were heard at Kanyaruchina village - about 100m from Monusco's position - and the civilian population fled to Goma.

Basse said DRC army forces were able to hold the line but the fighting resumed early yesterday.

"The latest information we have is that [the government forces are] in a good position and have pushed the M23 rebels back, but the fighting is still going on," he said last night. He could not say how many people had been killed.

"Monusco reinforced our positions, including our blocking positions, with armoured personnel carriers among other things, and they have [reinforced] our foot, vehicle and aerial patrols for better protection of civilians," he said. "We will give our full support to [the government forces]."

Referring to the latest clashes between [government forces] and the M23 rebels, SA Defence Ministry spokesman Siphiwe Dlamini said the fighting was taking place in the areas where the South African troops are deployed.

"We are not involved," he said.

The South African base was formerly held by M23 rebels but was taken by Monusco after the two M23 factions started fighting each other, leaving a gap for the UN force to move in.

Reports on Sunday said more than 55000 refugees from the eastern DRC had arrived in Uganda after fleeing a rebel attack. - Additional reporting by Sapa-AP, AFP

Zuma's support in the ANC was huge and was a proof that he could become the president of the organisation and eventually of the country. Hence, his rivals conspired with that lady to visit Zuma and seduce him so that he would land in jail should the lady press charges of rape. Firstly, that lady visited Zuma at his house and walked about the house naked after she had bath. She then afterwards asked Zuma for body massage, for which Zuma voluntarily offered to do it.
