I don't know about overperforming because Jose finished 3rd in his first season with those players. And with Torres upfront too! Matic was in mad form when he arrived in January, and continued to show his form in the next season.

Now obviously, with some of these guys age has simply caught up with them especially the likes of Ivanovic and Cahill. I think Cahill in particular has always benefitted from John Terry organising his movement in defence, and he has decidedly looked very crap since Terry got injured.

I'm going to be very upfront here and say that I don't relieve believe in Conte. Juventus have now won the league 5 times in a row...and they're topping the table again

2 different managers, achieving the same result in 5 consecutive years tells me that the league title is pretty much a foregone conclusion. The average age of the Juve squad is probably like 100 years old, and it seems like a place where grandpas go to die, yet last season they won the league with 3 games to spare.

I think you are wrong in understating and underestimating Conte's achievements with juve. They had finish 7th the TWO previous seasons. He came, steadied the ship, gave them self belief and confidence again. Improved them tactfully by introducing the now famous 352. Has all the credit for moulding and shaping paul pogba.

He Has the highest league record in all of europe till date.
He broke many domestic records.

He basically laid the foundation for their modern success. just like mou did for chelsea in his first stint, pep/cruyf did for barca, and van gaal/henykens jupp for Bayern.

The only negative in his CV might be his supposed underperformance in Europe but this may excused considering his limited exposure there (3 years). But the fact that juve reached the final a year showed that what he did there worked subsequently.

I believe that given time, he will succeed.

I don't know why the English press likes going after one of their own.. He had a 2 year contract with England and whilst this could have been in the form of an FTC, I think it's more likely that the FA had a contract with a Personal Services Company that Sam owns. If this the case, then Sam would only be paying 20% corporation tax on the profit.

If he puts himself on a salary of around 40k, he would only be liable to pay a income tax of 15% of that amount which is 5,800 pounds a year total.

After claiming tax deductible expenses - buying a car, computer, he might be paying less sef. By the time his company 'invests' the vast remainder of the money in an 'offshore' fund, he might end up paying something like 10k a year total with NI, pension scheme and student loan sef(not that he went to school)

Last year it used to be put yourself on minimum wage and pay no income tax, then pay yourself in dividends at 7.5% tax.

I have no doubt in my mind that Sam has a solid tax avoidance vehicle in place, and probably pays less tax than you sef.

As for these media/reporters that are forming detectives,, there have been lots of cases of them using incriminating pictures and stories to blackmail players/coaches and celebrities for money.. This pple pay huge sums to the journalist to bury stories.. When you don't play ball. The story is leaked and the persons image is damaged..

I would hate to see anyone disgrace or insult big Sam because common let's face it.. We all have secrets, terrible mistakes we may have made or beliefs which if revealed could also damage reputation.. A midfield of Fab, kante and Oscar can hardly compare to our rivals midfield. At mancity, they have a well oiled midfield in gundogan,Fernando, fernandinho and toure. At arsenal, carzola, ozil, zhaka, and coquelin. At Liverpool, coutinho, Henderson, emre can etc.. Can you compare ours with theirs??


Do you know the worst part

Chelsea has no bench!!!! which is shocking.. We have been extremely privileged to have minor injuries in recent years, but have you thought of it?? If hazard and Costa both go on say 2 months injuries at the same time?? where will the goals come from It is ironic to think we have the largest squad in England but do not have an average bench!! Do we seriously believe that we can use the same average first team squad for a full year

Conte's tactics is not the problem but selection. Matic-fab combo was a poor decision by him, Oscar-fab will win us lots of games for now. Matic is a DMF not b2b, CM or AMF. Oscar and Kante would shield fab to do his thing. Oscar is not the best thing since slice bread but we ought to know his importance in that midfield by now, he's a good chaser of the opponent and also a good runner when with the ball which unbalances opponent.

My point is there is no way Chelsea would've drawn Swansea or lost to Liverpool or arsenal if conte made the right selection. I repeat matic is too sluggish to play b2b, too average as CM and lack positioning to play AMF.

Cahil and Iva should be dropped to the bench, pair either terry-zouma or terry-Luiz, Azpi as RB and Alonso as LB.

Luiz, Kante and fab can play midfield against team like Man U and man city.

I repeat, conte's selection is the problem so far. We should forget about signings for now untill transfer window reopen. We shouldn't be talking about signing new players every time when things go wrong, it distabizes the players and team as whole. the problem has always be within. This current players can finish top four.

If you think chelsea can finish top4 with this team, you are dreaming!! The only source of goals in this team is hazard and Costa!!! What happens if one get injured!!

The team is highly unbalanced we have a no10 who is known more for his defensive contributions than offensive contributions!!!

We have a right winger who has ONLY a high work rate without end product.

We have 3 midfielders who are highly unbalanced. One is highly creative but defensively shambolic and slow(fabregas) one is averagely defensive, has good tackling but doesn't know what to do with the ball and is extremely slow!! (matic)
The other is defensively astute but creatively limited and when they all play together, you have a very slow midfield which becomes a recipe for disaster.

I really don't need to go into details on the defence, do I?? A slow rightback who can't cross and who constantly gets raped when he meets any decent left back.. Then you have an ageing erroneous defence.
You know you have a problem when your best defender is 36-37 years old.

Compare this team to arsenal, tottenham, liverpool , Manchester city and united and tell me we have a chance of making top4!!!
