OJURONGBE1:Ojo my nigga, some things are bigger than football in this life. As much as I am a football fan, I am also an ardent follower of international politics. And I'm not gonna lie , I'm also concerned as to the direction of global affairs. There is genuine reason to believe that we might be on the cusp of a major global war and that is not good for anybody AT ALL. I once loved roman as much as you. And with hindsight I can say that was wrong. I was very young when I started supporting Chelsea. Drawn in by Mourinho and several African players that played there initially. Inattentive to other affairs, but this Ukrainian issue has served as a serious wake up call. We have to open our eyes and constantly question the people and values we hold dear. Roman gave us happiness but that is not enough to make up for his other sins. As for Chelsea, I'm sure we would survive strong. We are too big to fail. This is just a trying phase that shall pass but it is a good thing we have rid ourselves of that man. Read this article on new York times and see just how cynical this man was.

Griffon:Of course when the message is fact-proof, attack the messenger. ![]() The fact still remains that Roman Abrahmovic IS A CRIMINAL. He made his money via bloodsheding, partook in the bastardization of his country's democracy and plundering of his country's wealth and made the Russian citizens poorer for it. That you are ready to defend a criminal murderer and a nation's looter because you are one of the few beneficiaries of his ill-gotten wealth speaks of your rotten moral compass. Thunder will fire you if you ever go to the radio again and criticize any corrupt Nigerian government official. Thunder will fire your brain if you ever come to this board during election time and complain about leaders setting Nigeria back. See you composing and writing love letters for a corrupt entity. An entity partly responsible for the Permanent displacement and loss of thousands of lives ongoing as we speak. Where is your conscience griffon?? Where is your Sense of morality? So you can easily be bought with money? You have no spine to choose right from wrong? Tueh! And FYI, Chelsea was actually a solid side right before the criminal bought us, we were constantly in top 6 at least 8 years before he did. I think we even got to the UCL semifinals before he came. We had just finished upgrading our stadium to be one of the best in England as of that time. We were constantly partaking in European competitions. No doubt the murdering criminal upgraded us to be much better. But we were better than the level Tottenham is right now, then. Stop making it seem like we were complete trash that he picked from the dustbin and remodeled. To use Nigerian church ranking analogy, if Catholic, Anglican, living faith, redeem are the biggest churches in Nigeria, we were on the level of Christ embassy. Also one of the biggest but just below the very best. Please oga, mind yourself. Stop exposing your rotten conscience to the world, it's abhorrent, especially for someone in the micro media sector. You can't come here and be applauding Abacha Babaginda 2.0 just because you enjoyed his money. Wake up fast. |
Only God knows if this man will survive this thing. when Europe mean you, they mean you.And for people saying, money will stop flowing into the West. You don't know what you're talking about. Which other countries can guarantee your security of wealth if not the western countries? Is it communist China where government oversees everything and is even harder in their clamping down of individual enterprise or russia where one man rules everything?? If even historically neutral countries like Switzerland came out swinging strong with financial sanctions. No place is entirely safe. This means people WILL steal send their money there. For now these Russian oligarchs go here am die. ![]()

Don't know how accurate this news is, but if this is true, these players are definitely on legendary path now. My utmost respect.

Havertz10:Why on earth would you be pro-putin? Does this mean you support every single person\body against the west? Do you support Kim jong un? You feel North Korea is maltreated? |
Singapore1:It's a question of VALUES. What are the principle values of either governments? Western democracies believe in the liberty and human rights of all individuals. Freedom of press etc. Sometimes they might be forced to act against it but they are still far more likely to hold themselves to account, learn from their mistakes and do better. The same cannot be said for Chinese communism or Russian dictatorship. |
Kloppo:Indeed. It is outstanding that in this day and age, people will say, go and convict a billionaire in court. Like?? In what world would people like Abacha, tinubu, dangote or other powerful men who can grow above and bend the law ever be convicted?? |
Segedinho:The criminal king. A state looter. A murderer. A corrupt enabler. ![]() Never forget those additional tags. |
Havertz10:I prefer not to form an opinion about all these bioweapons allegations until we see if any is being used. Russia is accusing US of wanting to use it against Russia and US is saying this is another ruse from Putin to justify attempting to use bio weapons against Ukrainians. Let's wait and see. I'm disillusioned by all the news flying around. |
A good assessment of the situation.

I hope all of you are enjoying your bubble. ![]() Last last, all of una must wake up and smell the coffee. The British citizens fully support the government. Level headed Chelsea fans can understand the decision. There is simply no going back for\to Roman. That door is forever closed. Some things are bigger than football. If war broke out tomorrow, football will be the last thing in people's mind. It would be suspended immediately. We have to wake up and turn on our criminal owner. He was a good custodian no doubt, but he remains an enabler of a tyrannical regime and has to meet his Waterloo. The vast majority of people see this and agree with the governments decision. The earlier you guys do the same, the better for your mental health.

patrickmuf:Someone who inherited wealth can be totally clean. ![]() |
larride:I can assure you, you are wrong. ![]() I will even beat you into submission. |
Actman05:One is an institution, the other is a person. Learn the difference. If you go back further to any old institution, you will most likely find unscrupulous characters that played a role in that institution's past. You might be surprised to even learn that a white supremacist founded the club and that once upon a time, 90% of the earlier Chelsea fans were racists and white supremacist who believed the white race was superior to the black race. But the club has longed since changed direction and is modern and diverse in every sense of the word. It's good that we are moving away from our hideous past of using the stolen Russian people's money into a bright new future. |
larride:Of course, a supporter of another thief would jump to the defense of another criminal. I'm sure you wish Abacha could come back and rule Nigeria. I hope the BMC crew is paying you enough to continue supporting the likes of tinubu and buhari. |
Actman05:You can sum it up as me hating him for who he is. He is a man who has partaken in stealing the resources of his nation. He has killed people. And I guess my main hatred for the man stems from seeing people still adore and celebrate the man. People not wanting to open their eyes and see him for the criminal he is. One can make peace with being powerless in the face of men growing powerful above the law. Bending society to their will. But what we can absolutely control is not celebrating these kind of people. You don't clap for someone responsible for stealing his nations resources. Yiu just don't. |
philip0906:To be fair, when Roman bought Chelsea. Putin was just a newbie. Russia was taking baby steps transitioning into a capitalist economy from the failed Soviet communism. It was a neocracy. Nobody could have predicted that Putin will become the modern day Stalin and outlast Stalin himself. Don't forget that Russia is technically a democratic country now , but it's system has been bastardized soo badly by Putin. Essentially running a kleptocracy and kakistocracy. With hindsight we can now say, they were wrong accepting roman in the first place, but how it looks now is soo different from the promise held then. |
DumaEmpire:Well, the mass murdering of Ukrainians by his buddy really helped in opening everybody's eyes. We never cared about these things, until the killings of Ukrainians raised awareness to his role and again, remember it's not just him. All powerful Russian oligarchs are being targeted. Roman is not just the focus. |
philip0906:They are seriously trying to force Abrahmovic to sell. I guess this is our comeuppance for having enjoyed blood money all these years. I'm seriously waiting and watching to see roman's next step. Will he continue to let Chelsea suffer?? Hmmm.
|
Android22:Simple question, to the best of your knowledge, is Abrahmovic not a billionaire whose wealth is built upon stealing a country's resources and partnering with a corrupt regime? Is he the best role model you would want for your children? |
patrickmuf:I have said it numerously and I'll say it again, Chelsea is not roman and Roman is not Chelsea, he's only but a custodian and part of it. Chelsea is an institution of more than 100 years. Here long before Roman and will be here long after him. One can distinguish between both. Your call for me to boycott the club will be valid IF the situation continued. If with my awakening, the situation continued, then there is grounds for me to personally boycott, but the fact that the club is on its path to redemption, that we'll be done with the criminal very soon is grounds for optimism. Hopefully we find a good , non-killer, law abiding billionaire. One in the mould of Elon musk or Bill gates or one with inherited billions. ![]() |
tonididdy: you are deceiving yourself. Gradually but surely, the abrahamovic lovefest is disappearing. More and more Chelsea fans are seeing the criminal murderer for who he is.Let him just allow Chelsea continue going down right now and see how this love turns to fuming rage. A part of me wishes he doesn't sell. Maybe our suffering will open those eyes faster.

Branzy:Is the Catholic pope also drinking, breathing and eating CNN?? ![]()

A40:Look around this thread, see people idolizing a criminal. A thief who stole his country men's resources for himself and acquired initial wealth in the first place by killing rivals in cold blood. As you are now, do you love tinubu, do you love Babaginda, do you love Abacha, do you love dangote?? All these are people who have partook in the plundering and decimating of national wealth for themselves and their cronies to the detriment of millions of working class citizens. So if Abacha used stolen funds to fund your favorite club, you will decide to be blind to his kleptocracy?? You will start singing Abachas praises? If any government now finally decided to bring the hammer down on Abacha, you will call it persecution?? ABRAHMOVIC IS A CRIMINAL. If you see yourself defending and vociferously supporting a criminal like that then something is wrong with your moral compass. It means you have no right to ever complain about bad leadership. I was blind, now my eyes are opened to seeing him for what he is. A cynical criminal who used stolen funds to buy hearts and minds. |
Havertz10, there goes your sino-russian relationship. ![]() I've always told you that if push comes to shove, china will abandon Russia in a heartbeat. They don't have the wherewithal to go against the west. They just can't afford to.
|
Evil machinations of propaganda.
|
Amoto94:This is a 60 million deal for 15 years. This will hit us very hard! Our shirt sponsorship and kit deal makes up more than 65% of our commercial income. These 2 deals are worth 100 million and we earn 170m commercially. Hmm.
|
BlueRayDick: you're a wicked sombori. |
popizaino:If push came to shove, this might just happen. The British people are desperate to do anything that will stop Putin in so far as it's not violent. |
Havertz10:My friend, stop making noise. You have consistently skirted my question when I ask you to choose between the global powers. As a Nigerian, where do you think you would have the best quality of life?? You are here with the privilege of condemning the western powers, and have the power to protest, do you think Chinese and Russian citizens have that privilege? Tell me how many times you ever heard a black person held a powerful post or public office in China or Russia. But you go to Britian or America, you see people whose parents brought them into those countries as children grow to become powerful leaders or holding crucial appointments in those countries. Tell me how that doesn't highlight the freedom, liberty and opportunities open for every single person. I believe that there is a time for everything, now is simply not the time to criticize the west. Doing That now dilutes the message and unity needed to defeat a ruthless tyrant whose citizens are afraid of speaking up against, a tyrant who imprisons and poisons political opponents. Go to those societies and juxtapose the treatment you get with that of western societies. |
Havertz10:Let me first point out that Florentine Perez has been Madrid's best president for years. Agnelli of Juventus follows. Yes, of course you are correct that he spent a lot of money on us, but I still ask you a very pertinent question, WHY DID HE BUY CHELSEA? Within that answer shows you, this wasn't someone who did it just for love but for self service too. By spending money, he knew people would love and adulate him, giving him credibility and acceptance in the society. Don't overlook legit money laundering allegations. What do you say to hardcore criminals who use part of their proceeds to build churches in their home towns? Should they be worshipped and adored? His ownership of Chelsea was a symbiotic relationship. You give me, I give you. Now he has a chance to prove that ultimate love which you all claim. SELL FOR NOTHING. I would like to know how you feel when he doesn't sell and we sink very low? Then you come back and talk to me about gratefulness. |
