Amoto94:At least she knew her life and existence wasn't at threat. Unlike any foolish person who would dare to sleep in the same bed with you that you might literally murder in the name of honor killing and actually still roam free. You agree with an ideology that basically grooms serial killers. She mistakenly says, ohh I don't want to cover my hair at the market and gbam! there goes the head, detached from the body. You are sick. |
Amoto94:Well, I didn't really know or care to know about these in the past, which is why I am fighting hard for others like me who were willfully negligent to also get their heads out of the sand and support the eviction of this criminal from public space. |
Amoto94:You are the person living under a rock. Is my view far detached from the British parliamentarians who now wish to sanction the criminal? Or the journalists who clamour for a better society and advocate the purging of dirty money? While others are doing something about cleansing the world, you choose to bury your head in sand. You that attacks one for advocacy, Go look at your own profile. You have created 157 threads on nairaland, majority of them clamouring for adoption of stances of very strong Islamic extremist positions. Don't talk to me about grandstanding when you are scraping the bottom of the barrel here. You are a a disgusting hypocrite. One who justifies honor killings. Murdering of relations who are (infidels). One who justifies killing gays and supports sharia laws. You nairaland profile is straight out of a jihadists recruiting propaganda. So spare me with your sanctimonious bullshite.
|
nihilistjnr:Nihilist, unprovoked yet again, you attack me. Any problem usually between both of us, always remember that YOU throw the first punch. I take it upon myself to avoid your every post especially those I disagree with but you really can't help yourself, can you? You always want a fight with me, you want us to brawl and call names and go to lowest depth because you are a pig that loves the dirt more than anything. I'll pass today. I choose to observe further. I'm pointing this out because I don't want people along the line to start saying I'm hypocritical or victimizing when we get down to it. |
Let me get this right. To recap, I am being attacked because I am attacking a criminal who is responsible for untold human suffering today?? I am being attacked because I don't think it's right a corrupt criminal uses continues to use our club as a vehicle of image cleansing? I am being attacked because I care about the suffering and needless death of Ukrainians?? I can understand that for many of you, the emotional bond is still too strong to see him any other way or detach him from the image of Chelsea. for the others the very strong hatred of western standards (or double standards) is enough to revolt against any action they take. For the few, of course the personal grudge and vendetta held against me for a long time is enough to always take a position opposite of what I say, be it nihilistic. But at the end of the day, it still boils down to this. Roman Abrahmovic is a corrupt criminal who killed people in cold blood to get his wealth, then used his influence to play a role in installing a tyrant in office, then bought a prestigious football club to whitewash his image The minute you see him less as a savior and picture him more as an Abacha, that helps in putting things into perspective. That said, of course I will continue to exercise my right to my opinions, just as you would, to exercise yours. That you decide to go for very personal attacks here unprovoked speaks to your own poor mentality which you accuse others of. |
diggz:Is there any different way I am expressing my opinion? |
Havertz10:That last line is not true, because one could literally inherit shares and property and just live off dividends or the proceeds of sales of some of the properties. It depends on the greed of the individual. |
diggz:I am already as comfortable as I expect to be in life. Good paying job and health. My only last wish is to leave this country for a better society. So I think I'm well setup okay, with my ideologies. |
Amoto94:So you that concocted such an evil lie against me do not have proof of this but decided to air it? Again, not surprised, coming from a terrorist that relies on propaganda to convert fellow jihadists. But perhaps you should do a better job at it. |
diggz:Nice to see you back from your long hiatus. How was the burial of your mum? I hope all is well? As for your post, yes! Turns out Ibime was entirely right. Im an avid and curious researcher and I delved into researching Abrahmovic voraciously and boy, you would be surprised what's in that can of worms. I don't claim to be an expert on anything. I'm just like everybody else who forms an opinion from available resources.. if you did your own research too about him, I bet that your opinions about the criminal would not be far from mine. |
Amoto94:What nonsense is this?? Where did this ever happen?? Why would you concoct this lie against me? At least it's good to see you shed the sanctimonious face you put on here when 2 people are having problems and expose the demon within. The fact that you would concoct this lie in your head and present it as fact is truly mind-blowing. Go back to supporting your terrorists and praising the murder of innocent people in the name of honor killings. |
Havertz10:Well, maybe not companies but wealthy individuals. The bast example for this I think is the Walton siblings. The owners of Walmart. Their father built up Walmart, the biggest and richest retail store company in the world, however he did it, clean or not, he's dead now and passed his inheritance to his children who are now some of the richest people in the world. I wouldn't hold a candle to them as to how they spend their money so far as it's not causing harm to anyone. Some may decide to donate a large portion to charity. If we have such as owners, that would be the ideal situation. |
On the other hand; there are quite many causes for concern right now. This is a quick fire sale, it wasn't planned long term. Meaning plans that were long term in the works are abruptly ended right now. Almost everyone in that boardroom will know their end is now near as new owners will bring in their own people. Marina, Bruce buck, Peter cech and high ranking staff etc will most likely be out of a job soon. Such upheaval from the top means whatever they had in mind pertaining player contracts, transfer targets and negotiations that had been initiated are all in the gutter now. It certainly doesn't look good now that 3-4 major players contracts are expiring because no player would like to be in such an unstable environment anymore. I think this makes it more unlikely that anyone going out will like to stay. Then of course, there is the uncertainty as to who we could get as a new owner. Abrahmovic is the only single individual who has pumped as much as he had into a football club, others are practically nation states. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi. Do we find another nation-state, like Beirut perhaps? ![]() Even Tuchel's job might not be secure. Changing owners is a really big deal. New owners want to start afresh bit hopefully they don't break what is not broken. |
That being said, I'm overwhelmed with the conundrum all these present. It leaves a very bittersweet feeling behind. There are only 2 positives one can derive from all what his happening. 1. The comeuppance and Waterloo that finally befalls a wealthy, powerful and influential criminal that has evaded justice for a long time. A shame it took too long for him to face all these. We must all be happy when a criminal is punished. The Western democracies are right in their actions here. All of us aligned with their principles have to stand with them. Our brand Chelsea will no longer be associated with a known criminal. Hopefully we get a "relatively clean" billionaire who loves the club as much as the criminal did. One who also shares that passion about Chelsea succeeding in all areas. Secondly, I think that the club being sold might be a positive in the shortest term, surely whoever is buying the club right now will definitely inject a very substantial liquid cash into the club almost immediately. We don't know how it works out long term but surely, they will be a huge cash injection into the club almost immediately. Roman's financial injection in the last few years had actually dwindled significantly. He only put in 19 million last year. That's not to say he didn't try. He never took money out of the club. That alone is a huge deal but there is a sense that he wasn't injecting as much as he used to. |
FBS:Your comprehension skills (or lack thereof) is astonishing. So because I didn't mention other power players, it makes my point invalid? I hate people like you who excel in criticizing opinions or trying to punch holes in logical submissions just for the sake of it. Without proferring your own opinion. You just sit back and type, this one is a fool oo, this one is mad oo, this one no get sense oo but at the end of the day, you have nothing upstairs as a counter point to the narrative. That is just plain senselessness. At least you can see how Ibime and dayo offered their own indepth although it was besides my point not counter. Go and grow a brain homie. It's not okay to just criticize for the sake of it, offer your counterpoint. |
NinjaXmetahuman:This is not true. Let's use an analogy that hits closer to home. Buhari and Tinubu. We all know that Tinubu is one of the wealthiest and most influential men in Nigeria and this government today. Tinubu is strongly the reason buhari succeeded in becoming president. Tinubu was influential in choosing the most powerful men in high offices that run the and he indirectly affects the issues of the country from behind the scenes. Now first of all, imagine a scenario where buhari is a dictatorial tyrant that apart from ruling with an iron hand in Nigeria expands upon invasion of sovereign countries disrupting global order but most importantly cause untold human suffering and humanitarian crises. Short of engaging in war with buhari, the most effective strategy of getting to buhari is by tightening the noose around tinubu so that he could also pull his weight around buhari. Just simply imagine the tinubu you know l, as wealthy, powerful, corrupt owning and running a football club very well. That he owns that club, is it enough to wash away his crimes against Nigeria? |
raumdeuter:. Part of your answers.
|
raumdeuter:Enough with the fake patronizing already. Now, as I just told Ibime, I don't really expect anything from Roman. I don't think there is anything he could do to undo the evil he's already done. HOWEVER, it's atrocious that people would know what he's done, especially pertaining to his Kremlin links and the legacy we now suffer and still choose to selfishly celebrate him. If Roman was not the owner of Chelsea and we knew what we knew about him, people would certainly cheer his demise. But you see people celebrating a criminal simply because we are benefactors. That's selfishness at its core. |
Ibime:I think you partly make my point. Your entire post highlights the art of self preservation and that's logical. We can accept that at the end of the day, this corrupt Russian Babaginda or dangote who became wealthy at the expense of lives and the Russian citizens and set up a dictator would get to live a fulfilled life. It's the way of the world. We can resign ourselves to the hopelessness of the situation but what we CAN'T DO is celebrate and idolize the criminals. We need to ask ourselves this one question. WHY DID ROMAN BUY CHELSEA? In the answer to that question, you see the machinations of an evil billionaire at work. He used the club to insure himself against harm and launder his image after not just killing people but setting up his country for decades of tyrannical leadership. In an ideal world, he's in jail certainly not celebrated and idolized. |
Ibime:But it's not enough. Not for someone who was responsible for this in the first place. He is more than wealthy enough and prominent enough to take an open stance against Putin. Or even achieve it via back channels. Roman now has a global image. He's not one who people will Just forget if something dared to happen. He's wealthy and influential enough in order strong European governments to effect visible change. He has not done enough. |
Actman05:Thank you very much!! That's enough to hate the man times 10. When you learn of his murderous past, times it by 100. I understand that people are not there yet that's why they don't understand my over insistence on this. Spending billions to build up a football club {which wasn't acquired for altruistic purposes} is not enough to wipe out the deadly and corrupt practices of the past. One that we now get to live through to see the sheer scale of human suffering caused by the individual. |
Unlimited22:Stop with the whataboutery. We can be enraged at all of them. When you bring up these talking points, you deflect from a disturbing issue at hand. That one is against Russia's action doesn't mean one is in support of the other actions. When those things you listed happened, they also caused an uproar globally, so it's not okay that you continue to parrot these talking points. It exhibits a poor showing of empathy towards human suffering. |
A001:It isn't hypocrisy. It's me starkly realizing what I was blind to, all these years. Just like you guys are still blind to it, I guess. It's me realizing he fooled us all. Are you not seeing what is going on in Ukraine right now, people who had stable lives suddenly being uprooted and not knowing their tomorrow or how to start afresh? Have you actually pondered on the issue? Then ask yourself, who is responsible for this? Don't listen to either side of Russia or the USA. Listen to the victim themselves. Hear what they have to say and why they are being killed. Ukrainians are not the aggressors. Putin is. Now trace the root of Putin's power, and voila, you get to see roman. I feel a bit of regret supporting him but I'm able to distinguish between the man and the club. I hope you do that too. |
Important to note that I'm not seeing myself as ground sitting. My take on this issue stems from my shame in having aligned myself blindly towards the criminal. And yes, he is indeed a criminal. Go do your research. But even if you were lazy to do that. The glaring evidence in front of you about him being soo close to Putin, being central to the Russian government is enough already for you to despise the guy. Surely you guys hate the likes of Abacha, Babaginda dangote. A few men who literally stole the fortunes of the general populace for themselves, setting the society backwards, being some the key actors as to why there is soo much suffering in our society. Surely you guys are as angry and frustrated as anyone would be with these people. Would you celebrate them even if you were a direct beneficiary?? Roman Abrahmovic is a corrupt Russian oligarch who has played a key role in maintaining a terrible status quo in Russia. Surely, there are no Putin apologists here. Surely there aren't people mad enough to think Putin is a good leader doing the right things for Russia in his 20 years of leadership. We must not accept status quo, we must continue to fight against them. Roman has done something good that that brought joy to our lives but surely that's not enough to excuse his very terrible misdeeds. Think of him as the Abacha and Babaginda of Russia. Men who literally killed people for wealth and power to the detriments of a larger society. Perhaps that helps to put things into perspective. |
Attacks from all angles, even friendlies. ![]() I can understand, some of you have really not understood the depth to which Abrahmovic sunk to get his wealth. 1st things first , Google aluminum wars Russia, like I did. Then take your time to read the 1st 7 articles, both outdated since early 2000's and the latest. Hear from the horse's mouth, some of his court testimonies. Hear from his friends turned rivals, some of who prominently turn out dead from either suicide or poisoning. Hear other former Kremlin associates directly point the finger at him and say these in UK court's. Also go to YouTube and do the same, they are some fascinating insightful videos and documentaries touching on the subject. As I said earlier, we were all blind to his history. It's really a big deal for me that the only reason I got to love someone deeply was simply because he was spending cash. It really exposes how shallow we all are and I'm sorry but I hold myself to a better standard. I parade myself as an idealist. One who strives for perfection. Sometimes it makes one appear as "oversabi" or "foolish" or a "moral ground stander". I accept all tags, not everyone can evolve at the same pace. I'm an atheist in a society where we're less than 10%. I'm a liberal in 95% conservative society. It's nothing new to be called foolish by retrogrades. The least you could all do is assimilate more information about things you value to have a stronger stance on things.

swiz123:Him and mount, academy tax. We have to endure years of mediocrity simply because they are "one of our own". The other one has literally just cost us a trophy but still, useless stanners will Don their banner of shame. |
Ibime:It's Snodgrass for me. I could have sworn this guy was playing for westham just yesterday. When did he age so much and go down to playing for Luton? |
I'm really glad to see James mhen! There's this confidence the guy's touches and body language just exudes. Too mature for his age. Abeg no more injuries to this guy. |
This sarr na idiot_oo. How many times do you make the exact same mistake? |
NinjaXmetahuman:I don't even know if he's playing at center back or central midfield. He's really balling today. |
All tuchel subs effective. Master tactician. |
That's it RLC, dribble and then release. More of that. I hope Tuchel doesn't make this position shift permanent sha. A credible opposition would exploit him at the back mercilessly. |

guy rest, you can't maintain wealth in billions without hurting or taking advantage of someone either directly or indirectly
