Segedinho:Still using the analogy, the Yahoo boys met the church, they didn't found the church. The criminals met the church and it's members there. You can't ask the church members to stop being members of the church because of their association with the church. The church will still stand long after the criminals are gone. |
BlueRayDick:You are correct. I think people on this thread and Chelsea fans in general are not seeing the big picture here. The general UK population is massively against Putin and Russia right now. These are people still living with the scars of WW2. They do not wish to see another major war break out or the ensuing refugee crises from Ukraine and they support every other method of nonviolent means used to stop Putin. Football fans in the UK are about 65-70% of the population. There are more than 120 football clubs in the UK and Chelsea fans don't even make up to 3% of the population. This thread and other Chelsea fans forum serves as a small echo chamber that just recirculates the same thoughts inside a bubble {understandably so}. Many UK fans support the decision to go hard on Russian oligarchs. We are only feeling bad because roman's business here is one we all care for, if Roman owned something like a Tyre manufacturing company with about 100 employees and the government seizes it as part of sanctions, not many people would bat an eyelid about it. At the end of the day, the UK citizens and their government is sacrificing soo much for the sake of putting an end to Putin. They can feel the effects of high fuel prices. They are endangering their own real estate businesses and their general economy. I really cannot fault the government here. Just look at Ukraine and you will definitely understand the sentiment here. |
I have been the only one criticizing and hoping the criminal sells Chelsea, for more than 3 weeks now on this thread. Much earlier than this sanctions and the ensuing toxicity of his association with us. Many of you then when I was lamenting kept saying I should stop supporting the club to which I responded that Roman should be the one who left because he was only but a custodian of the club who bought it in the first place for selfish reasons. Me doubling down on him selling now is primarily to still point out to those of you who still can't wake up and smell the coffee and see this selfish criminal for who he is that if he was altruistic in his purposes or really loved the club, nothing would prove that now than him selling it immediately. It's no longer by statements and press releases but by action. If he does otherwise, hopefully that would eliminate all doubt as to the cynical purpose of his purchase of Chelsea. Our beloved club is sinking deeper every day we continue to associate with him, if we go down, you all should know that that is solely on him. |
Segedinho:Haba! I'm sorry to say this sege, but surely you can see how stupid this analogy is?? I'm even more surprised it's coming from you. If anything, surely, I'm like the pastor here telling the Yahoo criminals to stop coming to our church. To which you might say, but pastor, you have been enjoying their yahoo tithes for a while now, you didn't say anything. It's now you are making useless noise, to which I would say, yes. I was wrong and hypocritical. I chose to be willfully blind and negligent to their crime because of their money but now that I have seen their victims, now that some of their victims have died as a result of their crime, I am now awaken to the depth of their criminality. In exchange for collecting their money, I also gave them credibility and good standing in the community, but no more. I ask for the members forgiveness and at the same time do everything possible to make sure every other person in the community comes together to banish this criminal from their minds and hearts and see just how evil the criminals are. |
For those still in love with the criminal. Ask yourselves, should there be any justifiable reason, you would support a criminal like tinubu or Babaginda? These men literally plundered or are still plundering the riches of an entire country. Men who have indeed bled their country like parasites.

Mr Abrahmovic, please sell now. Prove your love and sell. It can only Keep getting worse for us. ![]()

Havertz10:It just doesn't end, does it? muller, ozil, ballack, Messi now zidane. Okay oo. ![]() |
BikeMan:This is why I don't take Jude serious on this havertz issue. Propaganda don blind him eye finish. I have no doubt he harbors amorous feelings towards havertz. Jude might be gay afterall. ![]() |
Griffon:It was really beautiful. I like that him and havertz are beginning to pick form. Hopefully they continue this good form. |
Mount loves Norwich. I knew he would score today. |
tonididdy:use this link, they always stream matches. https://twitter.com/Cfc_Streamtv?t=yqyGoHPOVU8tJaSPLzKTbw&s=09 |
tonididdy:Search on Twitter for jotatv or Chelseatv on Twitter. They stream Chelsea matches. |
Very blistering start. |
Goal ball! Nice one Chelsea |
My Chelsea play predictor.
|
Havertz10:You my dear friend, are on the wrong side of history. There is no winning situation for Russia here. Russia would lose sooo badly both in the short term and long run. |
Abeg, let these players not be too distracted. I can only imagine what that dressing room is like right now, how all of them are suddenly pondering if they still have a future at Chelsea. ![]() I just hope the leaders of that dressing room are able to galvanize the team to still maintain high morale. |
My pain is the fact that Chelsea has become collateral damage in this proxy war. But at the same time, it's very much understandable. Football takes a back seat when millions of lives are at threat. If Roman loves Chelsea, he would sell immediately to seize this rot on Chelsea. There is no going back now, with these sanctions on him, surely, he knows his time is up at England. There is no need to fight at court, even if there was a world where he recovered Chelsea, the brand is permanently damaged by his association. No one would want to do business with Chelsea. Western corporations are highly sensitive to reputation. If England did not act now in sanctioning Roman, it wouldn't have been surprising to start seeing ordinary citizens start protest against Chelsea. They love nothing more than protest. Again, if Roman loves Chelsea, let him sell, anything other than exposes the selfish reason many knew he bought the club for, to polish his image and find a safe haven for his money, unfortunately the chickens have come home to roost |
Ihebu4chelsea:Don't mind them, see as they're talking as if it's only a single action the west is using to hit Russia. By the time, the west finishes with it's bombardment of sanctions on Russia, Russia would have been set back almost 30 years. Putin has refused to open the Russian stock market because he knows what will happen the minute the Market opens. all stock goes down to zero like the currency is currently on a fast track to reaching.By the time all western capital is out of Russia, lets see what happens to that economy. Is it china that is not yet able to fully Carter for it's 1.5 billion citizens that will help Russia? ![]() When all the screws are fully turned on, Russia's economy will be dead, even if he captures Ukraine, he will never be able to hold onto it. |
DissTroy:And here we are, almost ten years later, still battling terrorists, still being bombed, so who lost? ![]() |
Kloppo:Honestly, I am seriously shocked by some people here. How would they be sharing sympathy for the governments of Afghanistan, Syria and those Middle Eastern countries?? These countries were and continue to be the hotbeds of Islamic terrorism globally. These countries were the breeding ground for these terrorists groups, when 9\11 happened, there wasn't a sane soul alive who didn't think those countries should be razed to dust. What is happening in our own country right now is proof that America was right in going to war with those countries. Not long after 9\11, Islamic terrorism moved into west Africa, Europe and Australia. These ideologues targeted countries they believed were full of infidels with "sinful" lifestyles. 12 states in Nigeria not long after 9\11 enshrined sharia laws into it's States despite being contradictory to the Nigerian constitution. Honestly I tire for all the anti-western propaganda here. |
Unlimited22:Let me first point out, that a noticable mistake you and havertz10 have been making for a while now is conflating America with the UK. They are Allies but are still very much 2 different countries who make their own independent choices. The US has nothing to do with today's decision about Abrahmovic, Chelsea and others. It's totally on the British government, All their actions today will reverberate around their own country. Secondly, as I stated earlier, most of the actions of the Western world in the last 20 years have been geared mostly towards Antiterrorism efforts. With the benefit of hindsight, we are now able to see that they made serious blunders in that effort, but after 9\11, there really wasn't a western citizen who didn't think it was time to act swiftly and decisively in cutting out the growing threat of Islamic terrorism that was propping up globally. If they could hit America in her homeland, everybody could see sense that nowhere was safe and joined the chorus of egging America to do something. Again, surely a Nigerian who continues to suffer the effects of this same terrorists group can share the sort of sentiments these western democracies felt, what is now going on in niger, Maiduguri, kastina, sokoto, taraba and the bombings that took place in Abuja is exactly what they were terrified of. We cannot surely hold a grudge against that. I keep saying it, the western governments do more good than harm. |
Maximilan:HE was the one who was posturing as being ready to sell the club for no personal profit. Now the club and it's image is in big trouble because of him. If he loves the club as he claimed, his best course of action is to sell immediately. The last statement he sent out, he said and I quote, "this was never about business for me". He essentially said he was willing to forfeit income, let him prove it now. |
Unlimited22:What do those 3 countries you mentioned have in common?? They are all countries with autocratic regimes that doesn't fulfill it's duties to protect it's own citizens. Something you cannot accuse the west of not doing. The way me and you are here comfortable enough to sit at our homes and curse and condemn buhari as much as we like is a privilege citizens of those countries do not enjoy. Now a tyrant who has no one in his way, who oversees one of the world's largest stockpile of nuclear weapons is acting erratically. Surely, we would ally ourselves with the western governments and support their actions in curbing this menace. The British government are well within their right to sanction corrupt oligarchs who sponsor Putin, we can accuse them of hypocrisy of accepting it in the first place but at the end, it's better late than never. |
kingBolton:If he's really ready to do this then let him allow the sale of Chelsea to go through without getting the proceeds. Enough of his posturing. We'll see how well he loves the club now. |
AmazonTopaz:It really isn't. The governments of Europe have genuine concerns of the triggering of war in their backyard. They are desperate to stop Putin at all costs. It's not only Abrahmovic being targeted and even if it was, the Man deserves it. He has a strong hand in propping up the Putin regime. My own is that the UK has to consider the fans and workers. They can't allow a top club to sink. |
Abrahmovic himself just stated days ago that he would forgive the debt the club owed him and was ready to give the proceeds of the sale to war victims. In other words, he was willing to sell the club and not gain anything. Well he can still live up to that core promise. He can agree to the sell of Chelsea if he really loves the club. It's by action not by words. He's the one who was posturing like he was ready to do this. So, let him do it. |
nihilistjnr:Bros, no vex oo. I wan know if there is any indirect shot pointed at me here. I just want to know if you want to start today again. |
Abrahmovic, do the right thing if you love us as you claim.
|
Problem oo
|
popizaino:I remember Mikel married a Russian babe. Perhaps they are also against Putin. |
