EasternLeopard: Don't mind Barcanista and his illiterate hero
With what will the welfarism be funded with
We want capitalist welfarism and not socialist welfarism I respect his views before but I'm taking a back seat with all these his blind posturing. |

FolarinLondon: As long as recurrent expenditure budget including quasi-fiscal activities and contingent liabilities are well kept and maintained below 25%, they would be fine...................More though
Having that Prof as a VP should be an advantage to Buhari administration if elected or probably ask for my assistance if I would be available though; at your service as a minister of finance( I ll do it for charity and nairaland sake)
It is achievable and could equally be productive in terms of generating employments(Welfare offices in 36 states-Graduates,diploma holders and casual workers). Imagine how many Nigerian graduates that would be taken off LABOUR MARKET.
Welfare package has always been part of government responsibility............. UK, US and other developed countries have welfare systems that are being well managed. how long do you think you can fight corruptionn without it fighting back, to plug leakages that GMB will use to fund his welfarism will be unachievable. Those countries you mentioned are not mono economies. Osibanjo is a lawyer and not an economist. Paying graduates to the work and doling out 5k to 25million people will be like using 20% of our budget for only that scheme. |

barcanista: So you don't believe in welfarism? how can you initiate a welfarist scheme with the dwindling price of Oil taking into cognisance that we are a mono economy. Don't tell me about diversifying because it takes about five years minimum to have a veritable export product. Check Venezuela and Russia that are mono economies and run a welfarist system |

barcanista: While GEJ and PDP are concerned with stealing from the poor people, Muhammadu Buhari is concerned with providing welfare packages for the masses barcanista, I thought with your level of education you can diffrentiate bullshit from reality. Those thread that Gej goofed, I stay away from making comments there so that I lose my PERSON while trying to condole someone's mistake |

chemali: It's a scandal only in the TANoids game book. It's a non issue. The issue is what has Jonathan done in 5 years of power with high oil prices. How has he tackled corruption? What investments has he made? How has he been a good steward of our resources? Does he have a plan? how can a scandal has lasted for five days and no credible rebuttal from your principal. Gej has his shortcomings but GMB needs to say the truth about his certificates. |

raumdeuter: Laudable programs.
This shows a responsible govt
In sane countries there is a welfare package for the poor in the society
Thank you Buhari for proving once again you are the leader we need unlike that animal in fedora hat currently in ArseHole rock most of the countries going through ecomic crises have a high welfarist system Venezuela, Greece, Russia. You don't build your economy by budgeting huge allocation on socialist schemes. |

temitopeadeyemo: The Welfare program will cost the govt about 800 million naira monthly. That is less than 20 million dollars oil money missing. Or less than Jonathan's food budget for the year. Are we saying our government cannot afford one billion naira a month to assist the poorest amongst us? It is a programme that is sustainable. there is a free fall in the price of Crude oil in the global market. We don't need such fishes again, create an enabling environment where my 5k will grow to 10k under a month |
