EPISODE 5:
You of all people, I thought you were a friend, a friend who has always wished me to be happy. Becky said in tears and anger in her voice. "Of course I wanted you to be happy and that is why I did what I did". Cleo said defending herself. "I see. You are a big fool, get out of my house right now; I don’t want to ever see you near me again, go away" Becky pushed her out of the house.
"I will go, you can dwell in your cursed life, and your parents know you are cursed that is why they paid me and my husband to make you happy. Thrash". She walks out of the balcony, enters her car and drives off.
Becky still in shock starred at Brenda who was already patting her back. Did you hear that? Becky said. "Calm down, it is going to be fine” Brenda said to her. "No, No, did you hear that? She said my parents paid them for this". She untangles herself from the grips of Brenda and entered her car and drove out.
Becky drove fast into her parents compound and met them on their way out. “Why are you driving like you want to fight someone, hope there is no problem?” her mother asked.
“You have a whole lot of explanation to do, Cleo said you know something about George leaving me or something, I didn't understand. so i came here for authentic explanation and none of you should leave out any detail” she replied. Her parents looked at themselves and were looking confused. “Will you come inside and let’s explain to you properly, you are getting it all wrong. Please come inside let’s talk” her father replied.
They all walked inside, sat down and took a long pause, looking disappointed, they didn't know where to start from. “we know how you feel, Cleo has called us to tell us you have found out, but we want you to know one thing, we did it for you. We did it because we love you, we did it because we didn’t want you to continue to be frustrated. Yes, we paid Cleo and her husband 10 million naira to make you happy and with the state of the economy, they agreed. It wasn't their fault. He couldn't do it anymore and felt guilty and left the country with his kids, am sure Cleo will be on her way to meet him soon. He never loved you, it was just a plan to fulfill your dream as a woman, to be happy” her mother explained.
“I am confused here, you said you wanted my happiness, you love me and you went this far? I would have preferred to be single than go through this kind of trauma. Do you know what I have been going through mummy?, do you know the kind of shame I have to deal with everywhere I go?" She said in tears. I would have preferred to stay single, mummy, at least no one would have to call me names or know what I am going through, this happened publicly. Everybody, big, small and old was there to witness my engagement party with George and everybody was there to see that he or no one showed up as my husband to be till now"
"This is the height of insolence mummy, there is nothing you did to make me happy, instead you made everything worse than it seem to be. I don’t think that I will ever forgive you for this” Becky said and ran out angrily.
They called out her name to come back but she didn't look back.

Cleo sat in the comfort her sitting room and reading a magazine when she heard a knock on the door. She stood up to see who is there when she was pushed back inside by a man in all black. She was scared and asked what they wanted. They didn’t say a word to her, another man came inside making them two and one sat on the chair.
“what do you want, who are you?” She asked them in fear. They looked at each other, smiled and shot her three times and left the house. She died on the spot.

EPISODE 4: BEHIND SHADES
Previously on BEHIND SHADES:Becky, who was now on the ground was crying bitterly, what if he was dead on his way here? She thought to herself. Where is George? Where is my fiancee?. Everyone left the engagement party in disappointment. She cried uncontrollably.
EPISODE 4:
Weeks passed, George was no where to be found. She cried and cried until there was no more tears in her eyes.
Cleo came visiting everyday to console her, at least that was the only friend who was by her side at this odd moment in her life. “forget him and get your life together, this is not the end of the world, the most important thing now is that this has confirmed that you are not cursed after all, it is just about you being at the right place at the right time so you could meet people who are ready to call on you, love and cherish you. Who could believe that after all the whole drama George pulled he traveled out leaving you here alone” Cleo said.
I don’t want to think about it, I just don’t want to think about it Cleo(in deep tears). I did everything to make him happy, to make the relationship work. Suddenly he disappears. Where do I start from? (she falls on the floor, holds her hair and scatters it).
all of a sudden, Cleo’s phone rings on the table and George’s picture appeared on the screen with name saved as ‘Baby’, Cleo grabbed the phone quickly and cut the call. Becky whose mouth is wide opened in shock said “is that not George picture on your phone, he was the one calling just now”.
What do you mean by that? It isn't him, that’s my husband calling and you could see baby or didn't you see that” Cleo replied her furiously. But…I thought I saw… (Becky stammers). (Someone walks in)
Brenda stood and watched and wondering what was happening. “why am I hearing your voices from the gate” she said. She dumps her hang bag on the cushion and went to the bar, grabbed a glass and poured some drink and walked slowly back to where they were. “why is no one answering me, hope you are no longer crying over that idiot guy, baby, he doesn't deserve you, just let him go, someone better would come for you” Brenda said.
Ask your friend who was the person that called her just now? Becky said and walked away from the sitting room angrily. Brenda starred on in surprise. “Call ke?...i don’t understand, Oh, Cleo, who called you that is making Becky range in anger?”
Don’t mind her, she just assumes everyone is George because they have bears. My husband called me now and she saw it clearly that it was ‘Baby’ I stored the number as and then she assumed the picture that was attached with the name was George” Cleo said.
Ahh, Ahh, is that why she is angry? Na wa for Becky oh” Brenda said. Na real wa for her(Cleo walks to the bar to take a drink, the phone rings again). “your phone is ringing dear (Brenda picks up the phone to hand it over to Cleo who was already coming for it). “Jesus!!! Is this not George” Brenda screamed. Cleo closed her mouth with her hand and dragged her outside. “Shut up, just keep shut, I know it is George, I will explain” Cleo said looking around to make sure no one was watching them.
Explain what, that you are communicating with George behind us, you went as far as storing his name on your phone as ‘baby’. Cleo are you mad, are you stupid, how could you do this to us, I thought we were sisters. You snatched George from Becky>>>Oh my God.
Stop it, stop it now. I didn’t snatch him. George is my husband. We have been married for six years and we have two kids and they are in the United States. George never loved Becky, it was a contract signed by us to make Becky happy. She has never been loved by a man at her age and which was frustrating her. I and George had to give up some time to make her happy; we were paid the sum of 10million naira. It was an offer that we couldn’t just reject. It wasn’t my fault” Cleo said panting.
What!!! Jesus Christ, I cant believe what am hearing. So why did he propose to her? Why did he allow her fall in love so deeply with him? Why did you sacrifice your friend’s happiness because of money? Why Cleo? Why?” Brenda said.

EPISODE 3: BEHIND SHADES
Previously on BEHIND SHADES:My heart melted that instant, no man has ever done this to me, so I didn’t have any problem at all, and it is just a matter of time. Should I say no, or should I just make him beg a longer more before I accept. I would have to think about it because I don’t really know what to say now...
Can I take you out for a date or something, so you could know me better? He asked me. If na you, wetin you go talk?, yes ohh. He left my office. I smiled all through the day, this is a testimony oh. According to my friends, Gods time is the best. George called me few days later, we both went out for a date. In fact my dressing was out of this world. I called one of my designers to design something unique. He couldn't take his eyes off me. “do you have an answer for me now?” he asked again. I wasn't expecting that kind of question so soon. My friends do tell me that, once you keep a man on hold for too long, he would move his eyes elsewhere without thinking. Let that not happen to me, I just have to say yes. Yes, I told him. He was so happy, his smile was so beautiful. I hope this one wont break my heart.
George and Becky became so fond of each other that they couldn't do without seeing each other in a day. It was already a year down the relationship. Everything was going on well. Until….
George cuddled her so tight as they listened to Brandy’s Fall at the background. When are we going to take this to the next level? She asked him. He paused, sat up and looked at her in a big surprise. “what do you mean by taking this to the next level”? he replied. Ahh Ahh haba, stop pretending like you don’t know what I mean by next level. We are getting older by the day and I feel its right if we just get married. Baby, I want to spend the rest of my life with you”Becky said softly.
“I thought we said we are going to take things slowly, lets do this my way” he replied. Don’t you want to get married to me, am I not good enough, why are you taking so long?” Becky asked with a cracked voice, about to shed tears. “it Is not like that, there is time for everything, now its time for me to show you that love every woman deserves. Its time to show you off to the world as my girl.” He said, smoothed her face with his palms. “I want to be showed off as your wife and not your girl” she walked out of the room in anger.
The next day she was with her friends as usual in her compound. The gate man brought in a young man to her, he introduced himself as a parcel delivery man and that he has a parcel for her. She collected the parcel, opened it and saw a note and a diamond ring in it. The letter read;
“I have kept it since, waiting for an appropriate day for me to ask this big question. Becky, ever since I met you, you gave me a whole new life, you changed my life for good. I am grateful to meet an angel like you, please forgive me if I have kept you waiting this long. I love you and I am asking you on my knees to please marry me”.
She screamed with a great surprise and tears in her eyes. A car painted in pink and “Please be my bride’written all over it.” drove into the compound. Becky’s heart was literary in her mouth. Her friends were all full of smiles. This was a big shock to her. After so many years finally, she found love again.
It was the day fixed for the engagement party, everyone gathered with Becky. She was so beautiful that night. Everyone waited for George to show up, but he didn’t, 9pm passed, 10 passed, 12am passed. His numbers were all out of reach, his office said he wasn’t there and he had left since afternoon.
