Justice Maryanne Anenih of the High Court of FCT has refused to grant the former governor of Kogi state Yahaya Bello bail.

Ruling on the bail application argued on the 27th November 2024, the court held that the application for bail was premature having been filed on the 22nd of November before his arraignment on the 27th.

She said the action was against section 158 of the administration of criminal justice Act 2015 which states that application for bail can be filed after arrest, arraignment or during hearing of a suit.

But in this case the application was filed even before the defendant surrendered himself to the Anti-graft agency and his arraignment.

He therefore dismissed the application in its entirety.

No result was written in my LGA. Apc won clearly. Positions are many to come by. Do you think the position of chief of staff and SSG is by number of votes gotten from the LG of the chosen persons. Under Obaseki we had a chief of staff who Oshiomole influenced the office for, how many votes did Obaseki got in 2016 governorship election in my LGA. I prefer the governor to develop the huge tourism potential in Ososo close to my town and this will bring massive development. Go to Obudu and see daily economy activities. Banks, hotels, eatery, petrol stations and others will locate our LGA. Oshiomole and Eskakos by extension deserve what they always got cos the play foresighted politics, they are always ready to take bullet in the course of politicking. They are smart just like Yorubas. I don't blame them at all. Oshiomole gave my kinsman a senator and he failed to attract any meaningful developments in our LGA. Politics is all about your contribution. Outside Oshiomole's factor, Okpeboho would have lost the election. Most communities Apc campaigned to, Oshiomole was able to point one of two projects he executed as governor. Most politicians from my LGA are very selfish and greedy ones. Most of us need the governor to further bring more development. We need a full fledge university not the hurry political campus of Usen polytechnic, Obaseki brought. He has been noted already on that regard.
