Ministers that come from Edo south always turn out to be the worst not only to Edo state but the whole of Nigeria, clem Agba from Edo north who was a minister of state had a better contribution than a senior minister. What happened to Akoko Edo? Why not choose somebody from Akoko Edo? Is Edo North made up of Etsakos only? |

Etsako has Oshiomhole who happens to be the Senator representing Edo North, the immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning is Etsako, the current deputy governor (though PDP) is from Etsako. The ministerial nominee should have been from Akoko Edo since Owan already has Ihonvbere as the Leader of the House of Reps. |

Wike, Umahi, 26 Others Make Tinubu’s Ministerial List
Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, made President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday afternoon.
Ex-Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi; and presidential spokesman, Dele Alake also made the list. After a long wait by Nigerians, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Thursday, presented Tinubu’s ministerial list before the Senate. Gbajabiamila, the immediate past Speaker of the House of the Representatives, presented the list to Senate President Godswill Akpabio at exactly 01:19pm. Akpabio thereafter read the ministerial list with 28 nominees.

They're to close tomorrow instead of the Tuesday set for the passing out. I have a close relative camping in one of the southeastern states.
I love what they did though. The military may likely engage those lawless guys enforcing the sit at home next week. They wouldn't want to put the lives of the corps members in danger. |

sultanofpigs: So he was so wise that he said that an expired passport nullifies citizenship? When you try to sound smart and hail stupid actions, you confirm that SW is the bedrock of foolish statements. You're still not making sense. I've just told you he was Buhari's lead counsel in 2019 and he won the case. Your so-called Livy who's representing Obi today represented Atiku then and he was defeated. So Olanipekun is not new to defeating Uzoukwu in legal cases. You who may likely not even have an ordinary ND certificate want to rubbish a revered legal luminary like Olanipekun? What do you take please? Ice probably. |

sultanofpigs: Woke Olanikpekun has stolen TINUBUs mandate and given it back to PO, by virtue of his uselessness as a poorly trained SAN.
Olanikpekun is an Oluwole graduate...
Why quote an electoral act of 1979, which has already been modified in 1999? This man is totally shameless and immensely foolish.
Mizcreants think Propaganda will work for them... Same Oluwole graduate, Wole Olanipekun won Buhari's case in 2019 for him. Your so-called Livy Uzoukwu - who's Obi's lead counsel today - represented Atiku then and Olanipekun took him to the cleaners with his legal prowess. I know you're too young to know this but Google is there for you to confirm. |

famology: I prefer ihonvbere sha. I thought akpatason will get it because of seniority.
I'm also thinking the Edo 2024 election may have altered the choice in the last moments. The state governor decided to pick the assembly speaker from owan west and ihonvbere has also just been announced as reps leader from same owan west. It might be a counter moves ahead of the Edo governorship election to neutralize the effects of the speaker. Owan west is a tough LGA. Very tough politically. Exactly. You may be right. It seems you're from Edo State or have resided in the state before! You know Edo politics very well. BTW, Akpatason is my representative. This is his fourth term with nothing to show for it. I'm glad he didn't get it. |

That southeasterners gave him 97% of the votes doesn't mean he won the election. Southeast voters are less than 10% of the entire voters. |

Mynd44: Actually, you are wrong again.
It was only in the 2022 electoral amendment that only candidates or aspirants can challenge the credentials of candidates and aspirant (This is stated in Section 29(5) of the Electoral Act 2022)
Case example here include the case against David Lyon and the fact that the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi challenged (then governor) President Tinubu's credentials. |
