Phones / Re: Fraudulent Affordablesphonesikeja- Selling New Phones Without Nigerian Warranty. by donshabaz(m): 12:51pm On May 17, 2016
I have bought phones from them in times past, way back 2011 they tried to sell me a dead Curve 2 i noticed when testing it there and they wanted to tell me stories, when i made a scene they immediately replaced it (before they expanded their office there). Basically its better to buy your high end phones at the Slot (its worth the cash abeg).

Just yesterday i almost fell for them again, cos of the sudden up surge of phone prices and my Note edge was just stolen and needed to replace it.
but as God will save me i couldn't conclude the transaction (I was tempted cos they had a 36kNGN difference on same phone compared to "Purch" and 55kNGN less than that in "Slot" all on medical road ikeja) my people won't you be tempted for such deals in these economic times. After leaving "Slot" i tried "Purch" agreed on phone; transferred from non-atm account to Atm-enabled account, only to use POS and behold: "declined transaction due to insufficient funds, apparently the transfer did not deliver in my atm-bank account(but transfer was successful in principle), I then left "Purch" to confirm using an ATM machine if funds had reflected, but as i walked i saw "affordable phones" as I approached the entrance, i was blocked by a university colleague who owns a store around, we had a chat and concluded, i eventually entered and behold i saw their price list which blew my mind, men! i saw cheap and "my eyes chook", i immediately called my wife and said babe see price difference less 55k from what i saw in slot oh and even less 36k of what i almost bought at Purch now oh. Well to cut all the long story short I DIDN'T BUY IT matter of fact i didn't buy any phone after spending 4 hours in computer village. Why? my transferred funds didn't reflect in my ATM account, i thought i used Neft option so i tried the NIBSS option again (another transfer that didn't reflect again) having checked i used the correct NIBSS initially sef. I left feeling tired and unaccomplished. On my way while driving towards Agege Motor road through Adegbola street(about 2km from comp villa) i refreshed my account balance and i saw the first transfer had reflected, it was 6:02pm so i just continued home.

As my mind no clear me i say make i research this impeccable Affordable phones guys vs pricing vs authenticity, cos you can't drop 1k dollars anyhow in these times or anytime for that matter. In retrospect I thank God, I will just enter Slot jeje and spend a little extra (as i have done for my last two phones before this economic recession) for Peace!

These third parties(UAE & co) in the supply chain does not go through the approved Samsung Nigeria channel responsible for Samsung phones in Nigeria. Thats why they won't touch it as it does not contribute to their bottom line. Cheers

Any where you buy, a blackberry in Nigeria always triple check. The blackberrys shipped in are something else. Other makes like samsung, HTC,Nokia Iphone ettc are less troublesome in purchasing

Well u can follow ur heart having had some plans, plus from Doves's analysis its possible its cool too comparing lagos expenses. Plus the entertainment thing may be the break u're waiting for,
Money most time is nvr enuff, capital most times is never available or sufficient, but a viable business plan and high conviction with moral can drive it there,
1.apllications for sponsorship can be made , u can design a business plan to partner with ur radio station, and work out some modalities like they can organise occasions /announce party ceremonies and u will host it/ anchor it, e.g monthly birthday parties for kids(free for kids born in the month) which can be an avenue for u to showcase ur talent, shld also b prepared wit ur business cards and its placed on tables and strategic points for the guest to handle it, use medias to advertise ur self, Internet, can promote u too chk for business listing sites like www.smallbizigeria.com, facebook fan page, twitter.com
2. Get links in the higher instituitions around and host parties by partnering with certains clubs or societies in the school, of course using ur radio influence,
3. make sure while u host ur programs , don't be too regimented, be more global, have topics that will interest the youths(cos they are ur target market) so u can use it as a unique selling point-USP,
4. U have to keep researching, bring in latest news on entertaiment both foreign and local, music, new releases, singles, new videos describing them to listeners, asking for their opinon by call/msg, be the first to drop latest infos ,
5.try to bring guest appearances on ur shows like working a way to bring artists; popular, upcoming and state-born artists. Producers, executives, to educate the young ones, t
5.Try to regulate the campus gist, on talk shows,
6. all this to catch ur audience and make them long for u,
7. save up ur money, inquire about equipments, buy them peace-meal, rent/hire equipments if u have to for a start. Make the best of ur equipments be very good at the lastest, Dj equipments, try developing ur music production skills as well u never know u might start having talents u want to promote,
8.U may start hving a shop where u sell CDs, novels, mixtapes, DVDs, like "Music world", in a good location(u have to be unique by decorarting it properly having screens for video display, probably air conditioned, make mixtapes of latest singles based on individual selections, for sales.

"My Brother there are opportunities everywhere" once u hv d drive go for it in good faith and wit all integrity, avoid shortcuts, be prudent and frugal in ur expenses, and ask for God's guidiance and by God's grace in a short while u'll be back to share a great testimony, cheers

Bro, i think u really need to weigh ur options, its not always easy at first wen u want to cut off, but sometimes its better to follow ur passion, criticism will come but:
1. Do u have a long term/short term plan, business wise
2. Can u cope with a reduction in ur income? since u'll still depend on salary, (the employed)
3.U shld always have an exit plan, do u plan on working for the bank/radio all ur life
4. if u have to quit ur 250k job and go for 90k job still on the rat race, i'd say no, but u if have plan B, as in business that u've developed over time and u feel with a job security of constant 90k plus ur thriving business its ok then.
if otherwise, take ur time now to start up sometin(business) u can fall back on in d future.
Above all ask God for divine directions, wish u the best in watever u do Cheers

The choices u make forge ur destiny
