Classic editor doesn't seem to allow advanced posting such as pictures; classic editor prefers text only; so, use Block editor instead.

Since when? Educate what you know about. Obviously the Wordpress has some bugs in it. Update your wp and see if this continues.

I am not a WordPress expert but I manage the website of my hospital with my little knowledge and everything has been going well until recently I logged into WordPress recently and realized my classic editor had changed appearance, and worse of all it doesn't let me attach media on my pages/posts. It doesn't allow the normal interactive text. I thought it could be a corrupt plugin, I deactivated all and checked but it's still the same.
After I upload the image I want on the site, it doesn't allow me select it into a post or page. I'm frustrated and working with a deadline. I've tried troubleshooting on my own but now i need help. Please anyone that can help me
