Food / Re: Nigerian Names Of Herbs And Plants by donsteto(m): 11:26pm On Feb 04, 2017
PapiWata:
Miracle Fruit or Miracle Berry, is know in Yoruba as "Agbayun-kun". It is native to west Africa but is exploited commercially mostly in The Americas and the Far East, with seed stock or cuttings obtained originally from Africa, then selectively bred over decades for desirable traits.

The "miracle" of this fruit is that it contains unique compounds that "deceive" our taste buds to perceive virtually ALL foods as tasting VERY sweet, for up to 30 minutes after a Miracle Fruit has been eaten. These fruits have enormous potential for use by people who are under medical advice to reduce or remove sugar from their diets. Simply eating a miracle fruit just before a meal imparts the illusion of sweet taste to our taste buds, even when NO sugar is added to breakfast cereals, beverages, and indeed any dish or drink to which sugar is generally added for taste.

Note that this picture is magnified. The true size of the miracle fruit is about the size of your smallest finger-tip. This tree is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to germinate and grow from seed, and only slightly less challenging to propagate with cuttings. Who ever in Nigeria first unlocks the key to mass planting miracle fruit shrubs for the export market will without question retire rich at a young age.

The Igbo name for Miracle berry is Uni. In those days as a child in the village, we use to go to bush in search of uni. If we are lucky to get we use them to lick Udara (African cherry fruit) that are not sweet naturally. And you can even eat the back of the udara because it will be testing so sweet

Health / Re: Goko Cleanser Scam Alert!!! by donsteto(m): 11:19pm On Jan 29, 2015
I bought 2 bottle of this medicine because of severe waist pain. I took 1 and decided that it was fake. A year later as the hawkers of this medicine was passing by, a man ridding on a bike parked and rushed after them to buy this medicine.
When I got home I decided to take the second bottle since I already have 1 left. I read through the instructions. I discovered that the first time I did not take the right prescription. I was taking 2 caps of the cover instead of 2 table spoonful. I took time to measure and discovered that it was about 2 and 1/2 caps.
I took the medicine as prescribed morning, afternoon and night. At the end of the first day my stool was softened. I increased it to 3 caps and on the second day it started purging me. I started noticing things like corn in my faeces. I continued until I finished it. Sincerely the medicine is bitter but very good. It cured my waist pain at least.

angry angry angry angry angryi really find it sickening that anyone would even suggest that the egotistical son of a microscope be considered to even watch the tourney on tv less to say play in it, !!!! angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

Bros, abeg watch ur language. If u say that Jay Jay is self centered, what would u say of ur greedy leaders that retired him earlier by seizing his hard earned money?
If Okocha can accept to play for us let him play. The truth remains that half Jay Jay  Is still better than 2 Mikel in forward mid field.

Politics / Which State Is The Worst State In Nigeria? by donsteto(m): 8:13pm On Jul 10, 2009
Judging from the standard of living and condition of thing. I think Abia is first. But I use to be surprised to see the state taking the lead in everything. There is no good road yet the government is insisting on stopping okada. They will always imitate good states but they will never copy the good ways. The rate of kidnapping is the highest in the state and yet nothing is happening. Is this the way we will survive? Now that the okadas are stopped tell me what will Abia (Aba) be in the next coming days?
