Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Economy Is The Third Fastest Growing In The World by dont8(m): 7:02am On Apr 15, 2012
Is it possible to grow backward? Because, we can't be deceived again by a crooked survey. The once upon a time 'happiest people' on planet earth without infasructures, housing, transportation, health facilities and power generation!
Politics › Re: Almajiri Project An Exercise In Futility – Shehu Sani by dont8(m): 9:19am On Apr 13, 2012
Hope GEJ didn't setup committee before arriving at that conclusion. But seriously, the programme is a noble one, only if they're sincere and why name it Almajiri! It's derogatory, they should change it to to a more befitting one.

Jencejyde: Great win! Ramsey...hmmmm.. dont wanna start another long dicusion but young man still has a long way to go. Hope he gets there fast. Anyways, what even made this victory sweeter was the fact that I christened my Identical Twin Boys on the same day cheesy cheesy Thanks to everyone for prayers and well wishes as i introduce Olajide Alex Oluwafemi and Oladapo Alexis Oluwagbemiga Tobun... Hopefully they would win silverware for Arsenal grin grin grin and bring the world cup to naija grin grin grin

Sorry to divert the thread but i gotta let my fellow fans share in the joy wink
Congrats bro, and they said we don't have team, you're building a reserve team for us.:-D

debosky: Hear me say what? That y'all have been behaving like superstitious cave dwellers by saying Ramsey starting causes us to lose? cheesy

As for your previous post, where did I say Chamakh was the new Henry? cheesy Again with these your imaginations. . . .are you sure you shouldn't be writing fantasy books? I judged MC based on his performances at the tim and they were good - when he messed up, I said likewise. I am wholly consistent in that regard.

As for Vermaelen's exploits, I never denied them - all I ask for is fairness. Judge a player based on what he is doing not on some irrational bias or favouritism.

It is irrational to excuse Vermaelen in a game where he causes a defeat and instead focus on Ramsey - it's like a car's brakes failing (after working well for the past 2 years) and the driver blames the horn for slamming into the car in front. Previous good performances do not take away blame for the present error.

What you lot lack is the ability to separate your feelings about a player or his previous performances from the one at hand - there's nothing wrong in having favourites, but don't let that favouritism cloud your assessment of current performance in a game.

Back to the game - great win, albeit with some sloppy performances in the second half. The ref pitied Wolves and denied Ramsey a blatant penalty. Glad Benayoun got a goal that equalled his great play in the past two games.
I share in your
sentiments, but one thing you have to understand is this, once you are a fans favourite, you get immuned from errors, but something must have warrant that, which is good perfomance on a consistent basis, Song, RVP and ofcourse Varmalean is in that category, cheers.

chelseabmw: Full time : Fulham 1 - 1 CHELSEA !!

We did not deserve to win i think to be honest !!!

We played too bad ! Always were defensive in passing the ball !!

If we play like this against Barca then no chance of winning !

Ps : Just saying the truth !!! If you would be true Fan you will admit it !
You deserve a temporary award for that comment.
Seriously, this is what happens an otherwise respected leader is so hungry to be seen as modern. As one climbs higher, one must learn to say no to certain things (technology inclusive) even when they are most appealing. Where in hell, otherwise, could Mark ever have an opportunity to insult the president of a whole sovereign nation?
Very lame excuse, why blame technology for your president's lack of direction and respect and dude, you already believe it was real, where are people's sense of humour?
Politics › Re: Reuben Abati's Response To Otuoke Community Church Gift To GEJ by dont8(m): 1:04pm On Apr 05, 2012
ZUBY77: you are right and wrong. The church was built by a private company.
And what do public office holders used in siphoning money, if not private company's account. Ibori, Alams and Orji readily comes to mind.

Accusations and counter accusations, funny how each accuses each other, at the end, do what they accused each other of doing.

Music/Radio › Re: Your Top Nigerian Female Singers? by dont8(m): 7:22pm On Apr 04, 2012
chidike: First, hope those of you calling chidinma are referring to the project fame alumni chidinma and not the one that came to naija from london abi na america, cos that one get zero talent.

Here's my liist:
Asa
Ty Bello
Waje
Omawumi
Tiwa Savage (Y'all this lady can sing o! Forget say she de do pop music. Have u heard some of her RnB songs like leave slow? She's good)
Chidinma (project fame)
Ego (we don't get to hear much of her but she's good)

Of all the above listed singers, i've only purchased Asa and Ty Bello's albums, wouldn't mind buying that of the others sha. (i think purchasing of albums should be the yardstick we should use, cos if u like them enoough to buy their albums, they're prolly top on ur list)
Just like me, I only bought Asa and TY's albums, I bought Asa first and second albums, because they're classic and TY's album, because of greenland and ekundayo that she dedicated to that old woman's orphanage home (so touching). I can't wait to buy Nneka's album because of this thread, the lady is good and original.
Romance › Re: What Is The Best Way To Dump Someone? by dont8(m): 12:14pm On Apr 04, 2012
shadshadyz: well in my own view, i think its better to get into a serious relationship, only when u are ready for it and marriage to avoid dumping.
believe me some people's destiny has been ruined by people they have dumped.
God bless you for this comment.
