Live and let live.

Muslim and Christians can be good neighbours and friends, u only have to look at south west muslim and christians to know that. I am not against islam or muslims but against evil.

Share Boko Haram still holds territory in Nigeria - U.S. General

For the second time in a couple of months, lie has been put to claims by the federal government that Boko Haram has been de-mobilised and ‘technically’ degraded.

The commander of the U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), Gen. David Rodriguez told the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee that the Islamic terror group still holds territory in northern Nigeria.

According to him, “Boko Haram does hold some significant territory in northern Nigeria, as do Al-Shabaab in limited areas of Somalia.”

Jennifer Cooke of the Center for International and Strategic Studies (CSIS) gave credence to Rodriguez assertion, noting that: “It is important to remember that Boko Haram has proved resilient to setbacks in the past. The possibility that it will regroup and rebuild should be the source of critical regional and international concern.”

Dr. Cooke, none the less gave kudos to the Nigerian military and the MJTF, for the success so far recorded in the fight against the group, saying, “Many thousands of Boko Haram members, along with a number of its senior leaders, have been killed or captured, and the group no longer appears to have access to the kinds of transport and equipment — tanks, armored vehicles, Toyota Hilux trucks — that it has had in the past.”

Dr. Cooke also pointed out that the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, has been silent.

“The group’s media operation — which reportedly received technical assistance from ISIL — has gone largely quiet, and there have been no video appearances by erstwhile leader Abubakar Shekau (or by any of his alleged imposters) since early 2015.”

I know we are not the best of friends due to our various interest discussed on the politics section.

However, we are all good and decent people. The discussion of politics section have not impaired our judgement of right and wrong.

As a father, I don't know wat I do if my child was kidnap, rape and forced into marriage.

I am trying to stop this practice by pushing for reform so I don't have to face such scenario tomorrow.

Seun and lalasticlala, if u are not yet a father, u will be blessed as one soon.

The onus is on us to make the world much better place for them.

If they did not go about taking our children, I wont have conducted the research or written article that took me a lot of time.

Equally, trying to place the article on FP have taken me one week of constant messaging both seun and lalasticlala.

The article was written in good faith for the sake of the girl child. please help!

Bloody bigots angry

There is nothing funny to be laughing about here. Nobody tarnish the name of islam better than muslims themselves.

Wat exactly do u thing will happen wen the sharia court enforce child kidnap and captivity?

Do u expect their parents and community to forget about their children?

If a muslim girl was kidnap from north and held in south and raped, how many people will be dead up north by now?

Try to say the truth and condemn evil.

ItsMeAboki:
Wrong, Islam did not justify separating the child from its parent, pls revise the whole story very carefully.

Each level of authority played its role towards the return of the girl: starting with Yunusa's father who immediately reported the matter to the village head, who in turn took it up with the Emir through the Emirate council resulting in the Emir ordering her repatriation (a copy of this had already been released to the press but bigots like you are still lying against the Emir as having held her hostage against her will in the palace) through the sharia council in liaison with the State Police AIG - the police have subsequently confirmed this story in their various statements to the press but some ppl are still disregarding it because it does not suit their agenda against the north/Islam/the Emir and Hausa tribe.

Yes, the Catholic church did condone child abuse by covering up the systematic rape of children under its care by their priests, allowing it to continue for many years, and the pope being the main culprit of the cover up.

Shut up your stinking mouth, u pervert. How daft can u get? This has been going on ever since the Sharia Court was instituted. Systematically, Christian Children have been abducted, raped and forced into marriage with rapist by the Sharia Court.

The Sharia Court have provided legal grounds for holding children hostage and denying parents accesss. That is wat we are discussing here. If u want to discuss Catholic Church then start a thread.

Go looking for smoking guns or short comings within the Catholic Church is no justification for the continued rape and abduction of children up north, instituted by the Sharia court.

Whilst we condemn crime and criminality down south, in the north it is a religious commitment to commit crime. The Sharia court will quote religious passages of the rape of Aisha to justify your crime. Can u see the difference now? At no time was crime justified within the Christian faith. There was wide acceptance that it was evil and wrong of the priest.

Wrong!
Islam did not commit any crime, a young man did; but bigots like you want to forcibly turn it into a religious crime thats why you are being served in the same coin - tit for tat.
You lie, the Christian church had for many years covered up the systematic rape of children under its care by catholic priests; the Pope was heavily involved in the cover up - if that is not condoning then what is it?

So islam finds justification for separating mother from child and denying parental rights from Catholic priest child molesters? Did i hear u well?

At no time did Catholic church condone child abuse. Google is your friend. They always remove sack such priest but criticised for not prosecuting them in the criminal system. The necessary reform were done and priest guilty of child abuse are prosecuted in the criminal justice system.

The Sharia Council and Emir held a child hostage in the Emir palace whilst the supervise the rape of the child quoting passages from islam and islamic law, u are hear trying very hard to blam christianity for the crimes commited by islam? Try harder!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-3405269/Nigerian-separatists-claim-police-kill-8-Biafra-protest.html
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
PUBLISHED: 18:09, 18 January 2016 | UPDATED: 18:09, 18 January 2016

WARRI, Nigeria (AP) — Nigerian separatists said police killed eight people during renewed violent protests Monday demanding an independent Biafran state in southeastern Nigeria and the release of a detained leader. Police deny the allegation from leaders of a cause that sparked a civil war in the 1960s in which a million people died.
Police shot protesters in southeastern Aba city, after protests erupted in cities in six southern states, Uchenna Madu, leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the State of Biafra, told The Associated Press.
But Abia state police spokesman Ezekiel Onyeke said no one was killed and police fired only tear gas and smoke grenades to disperse protesters after some lobbed petrol bombs at security forces. It was not possible to verify the contradictory claims.
Onyeke said police arrested 26 people for possessing weapons including machetes, axes and clubs.
Fourteen other protesters and two police officers have been killed and about 200 people detained across the country since the demonstrations started three months ago, according to the separatists and police. They began after intelligence agents detained the director of banned Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on Oct. 17. He was initially accused of criminal conspiracy and hate speech but the charges were escalated to terrorism and financing terrorism.
A Federal High Court ordered Kanu's unconditional release on Dec. 17 but President Muhammadu Buhari said two weeks ago that his government would not release Kanu.
Monday's protests come six days after the anniversary of the surrender in 1970 of the breakaway state of Biafra following a 32-month-old civil war in which the casualties were mostly Biafrans who starved to death because the military blocked supply routes. Buhari, a former military dictator in the 1980s, was a brigade major who commanded troops in Biafra during the war in which soldiers were accused of mass atrocities.

Nigeria can break anytime, oil is no longer selling meaning Lagos will suffer becos no money to tax from suffering oil companies.

The state is heavily indebted and will definately borrow some more for Bola Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode to share.

Destroying the market to get traders to invest in over priced shops is a no, no as far as today Nigera is concerned, anyhing can happen with the present instability.

Let Ambode learn the hard way. Let yorubas go and buy the shops million, million. I trust Oduduwa people, never. The shops will remain empty until it is going for next to nothing.
