It's also okay. In fact any ppa outside Ilorin South, Ilorin West and Offa would be a suicidal mission. That state is suffering from gross underdevelopment. The orientation camp is in a terrible state as well. By the way them no dey pay and dem no dey treat corpers well.

Exactly d 2 States in my mind, but none of them pays, the only states in North that pays now are Nassarawa, Jigawa and Taraba states.
Kadunna and Nassaraw too might still make it in my choice o, til 20the first.

You need to make up your mind. You cannot choose Kaduna, Nassarawa & Plateau. It is either one of them or none. Same thing is applicable for Jigawa and Kano.

Whether it is actually a good or bad idea depends entirely on your perspective. Why should anyone not think about the attacks? It's not like it is just going to vanish all at once. The Hausa-fulani are still marginally in full control of KD. Yes there are some good firms in KD but you've got near to zero chances serving in those firms. You will most likely end up as a classroom teacher with no state allawee. Again, despite Kaduna been dubbed the most industrialized state in Northern Nigeria, according to NBS 2016 report, Kaduna is still among the top 10 states in Nigeria with the highest rate of unemployment. so my brother what is the point in having good firms if there's no employment taking place?

Do as you were told by your student affair officer, that is the process to follow as he has highlighted.

He's quite lucky someone wants to even help travel on his behalf to Abuja. A friend of mine was told at student affairs to go to Abuja to rectify the issue he has with his name himself on or before Tuesday or else he would have to wait for the next batch.

I don't really get that,but what I can tell you is that when it comes to PPA,private firms are always quick to accept coppers(i.e if they have space for you oo) more than government firms,govt can delay hell out of you. I could remember when I was in camp earlier this year,i was asked to go and get anywhere I want to serve by someone I know in camp,so a friend of mine that was also following me in camp begged me to help her out,so my aunt asked her to get hers,she got hers,private firm and I got mine,federal ministry. But could you believe that she was accepted that very day that we came out from camp, while it took the ministry 3 good weeks to accept me.
The protocols in govt firms are always much,you have to wait till your file goes from one office to another, before they will finally accept you.

Congratulations to some of you that have seen their names. Just a reminder.
Please if you are sure that you have already know the state that you wish to serve in and you have somebody that works in a company or any organisation,ministry,CBN,NAFDAC, and others, that you are very very sure (100%) that can help you get a PPA in one of the above mentioned,please it's better you get a request letter from them first before going to camp.
REASON; when you get to camp,they will give you a choice of getting a request from anywhere you will like to do your PPA and submit it to the NYSC official or your platoon officer(its for dos that have somewhere already oo, if you don't have,then hope on God for your PPA posting) and they have a deadline for submission of the request letter while you are in camp.thatnk you.

@Sparkle4u, I luv d maryrose sha. did u c it on nysc site? if so, u can equally change it by applying 4 correctn of name on nysc portal.
To change d name, login to the portal, on ur dashboard click on APPLY FOR NAME CORRECTION, input the correct details and click submit to place the request in order 2 b processed 4 approval. Or u can still visit ur skul.

In addition to what Davidtolu wrote, In a situation where you've exhausted those options and there's still no solution in sight, or where you get to your sch and they tell you they cannot do anything because your name is not on the correction list, then just go swear an affidavit.
