Is there any of your colleagues who have seen his or her name on the portal? if there's been none that then should mean that your sch is working on uploading it. Since it doesn't take time, I'm 95% confident you'll be mobilized with batch A. You don't have to worry.

What you all should know about nysc is that there are 2 batches. Batch A and B
Those who do not have problems with their results make batch A while later another batch B will emerge.
I will advise u start thinking 4 states of your choice to choose.
Early registration doesn't guarantee your first choice. It is done randomly.

Yes it does means the person can proceed to register when registration commences on the 20th. If you do not see your name on or before 19th, it simply mean you've not been mobilized for '17 Batch A

Thus far, students from UNILAG, UNI ABUJA, OAU, UNIPORT, POLY IB, FUNAAB, MOUAU, UNN, LASU, Benue state Uni and Bida Poly have all confirmed that their schools have either pasted or uploaded the mobilization list. Pls if you're from these aforementioned schools do well to go and check or verify your names and start getting your documents ready. Avoid fire brigade approach!!!

To those whose schools are still yet to release the list, pls remain calm and collected. We'll all see our names in due time. Hence, there's no reason to start getting anxious over nothing.

Lastly, are there no students from UNILORIN or those from private universities/polytechnics on this platform?

Lol. I believe Onitsha is located in Anambra. There's been few reported cases of such happenings in Onitsha. I guess he must have heard about it too, hence his fears. But i think he's exaggerating the thing a bit. It's a one off thing, so it's quite wrong to make generalization. Nigerians are generally not known for eating human flesh. People who do this in Nigeria are usually termed 'ritualist' and we all know the kind of punishment meted on them when caught.

Uniben students: They pasted some names in exams and records but the names is for prospective corpers who have issues with either school fees or submission of documents. Meanwhile the list of confirmed prospective corp members might be pasted on or before Wednesday. Stay tuned

It all depends on your definition of what 'a long time' is. While carrying out physical activities like marching and man-o-war drills, you may be required to at least stand in one place for about 10, 20 or even 30minutes. So the key is this, try and make your statement as honest and detailed as much as possible to whomsoever will be interviewing you. You should be able to tell the person how long you can stand in one place before you start 'collecting fainting'. By the way, I see you really want to involve yourself in those plenty plenty physical activities. Men dey look for this kind opportunity to take idle themselves for camp dem no see o

You may need to have a word with Nysc officials when you get to camp (I believe they'll interview you anyway). So, just get yourself prepared on that. I think you should be able to take part in most of the social activities and the skill acquisition lecture. There may be a need to exempt you from most if not all the physical activities on camp. None (especially if you are not in any medical related field). Even Lagos State is not too reliable. If u so desire additional money outside that FG 19k, try and approach a firm or school (probs after you must have been sure of where you'll be posted). Be sure it is a place where you'll get paid and a place where they'll be needing your service. They should issue you a request letter. You can then take it up from there.

I strongly don't agree that departmental ID card will be accepted though it might depend on the officials screening you(something like he/she might just overlook it,while hmmm others will look it at it word for word).
I will advice him to go to the relevant authorities in his school as it seems they do issue a paper in lieu of the ID card.

On request for a new id card I was issued an identification letter instead which was signed by my HOD. I would like to know if that would suffice.

I'll say print it out in colour, but if u can get another id card b4 mobilisation that would be better, or if u know pple dat make ID card, make something similar to d one ur school makes as long as school logo n matric no dey show that's all that's needed I guess, but my best advice is to go to school n see if u can get another b4 camp.

I've got a similar issue. Mine is just slightly different in the sense that i can still find my departmental id card but i can't seem to lay hold on my sch Id card. I would like to know if they do accept a departmental id card or an identification letter
