I don't know why Weza is on to all these silly gossips. I am beginning to feel like she needs to go. Its wrong how she's representing herself. If she is as bold she should confront Milli and stop selling herself short! |
Education / Re: Rough Guide Of The Best & Most Reputable Universities In The UK by donyomi(f): 2:05pm On Nov 05, 2010 |
@sagamite Thank you. I had gone through this and they all seem really similar. They have partnerships with SAP and give you a chance to certify while you study. I guess i will stick to cranfield cos of the start date advantage. |

@ Sagamite Good to know that you are still following this thread. I am currently applying at the Cranfield University for an M.Sc in Mgmt Information Systems. I had applied to Warwick and Lancaster but I am considering Cranfield Part-time cos that allows me start earlier than 2011 Sept. I turned 27 last week, have about 6yrs work experience and have reach mid-level in the financial industries here in Nigeria. Do you think this is a good call? |
Career / Re: Pregnancy And My Job by donyomi(f): 12:18pm On Oct 07, 2010 |
@Poster Have you done your medicals yet? If you have and they still gave u an offer letter, then you are lucky. Go ahead and start work, the only problem you will have is that they wont pay you when you on your maternity leave because you are not due for mat leave until you have spent a year in service. If you have not done medicals yet, they will invite you for medicals and then there are 2 options. 1. they will let you start and then not pay you during maternity leave 2. they will give you an offer letter but ask you to resume after you've had your baby. Either way, you will have your job but at worst case after the baby has come (hope you are entry level because for experience people, if the role is urgent, they might get someone else to fill it). Go and have your baby dear. its not as complicated as you think. Trust me, i know! |

@aisha You sound like a sweet person. You have done well to stand by your friend at this trying time in her life. I'm glad she has stopped seeing this other male. I however doubt that leaving her husband is whats best. They couldn't have been worst enemies when they agreed to marry each other even amidst whatever pressures and even strangers can make a marriage work if they choose to commit to it and respect the individuals they are with. Let her have a sober heart to heart talk with the man with whom she has bore children. With submission and true repentance and forgiveness they can make it work. I hope you agree with my POV |
Family / Re: How Is It To Be A "white Wife" In Nigeria? by donyomi(f): 2:09pm On Oct 06, 2010 |
@Poster Living in Nigeria/Lagos can be a fun/nice experience. Try to blend in as quickly as you can. Be nice but somewhat slow in making friends because people will try to exploit you. Be ready/welcoming to the move, i think you'll like the experience. (Do you speak pidgin english) Lots of people speak that here and you'll do well if you understand it. its like normal english with some variance. Hope this helps! |
Romance / Re: Getting married At 33 And Mum Still Disapproves. by donyomi(f): 4:38pm On Oct 05, 2010 |
@Bamboke Don't marry this guy because you are turning 33. Marry him because you truly love him enough to wanna spend the rest of your life with him. The years we spend in marriage can seem too short or too long because of the partner we choose. Goodluck! |
