nyabinghi: do these people have brains at all, we are saying Rooney is not the only one not in form but someone is asking if it is the mentioned players that caused it, you can use search engine to find out(in the words of jose mourinho) Nigga shut the fnck up if you've run outta lame excuses to back rooney, you are a nuisance to this board, and you are old enough to father a 15year old If rooney is not the only one in poor form, what is our business with that? Are you a fool? We are talking about rooney's poor form this daft cu.nt is telling us he is not the only one in poor form, are their forms tied together? Are they the reason why rooney's form is poor? I ask you again, are you a fool? You are so bereft of common sense, one of many things you are bereft of I'm expecting you to spill your usual jamaican bomboclaaart nonsense, old man acting like a possessed kid |

Dadehmola: You guys don't seem to get the point...
This is a united side in transition - many players are still trying to adapt & the chemistry isn't quite there yet. A 19 year old who's still honing his skills as a lead CF & still has to fully adapt to the rigors of the EPL spearheading the attack in such a team would never be the optimal solution ( LVG even said he bought him for the future, remember??)
However, due to the circumstances we've found ourselves , the lad seems to be our best bet upfront & we can only hope & pray his good form continues. So which striker would have adapted to the rigors of the premier league? Abeg make we leave matter for martyrs |

adeyemi2015: God bless you for the comment above @Dopejemi. I wanted to ask him if Falcao wasn't a marquee signing last season but you've settled the score already. A Chelsea fan was questioning his age after watching him bagging goals with confidence. He forgot he wasn't born in Africa, rather in Europe where records are well kept. I would love to see Wilson against Ipswich in the Capital one Cup! Same as Lingard and Perreira (with either of them playing 10). They are in the age bracket with Martial and I hope they play well and send Rooney away from the Team completely! Your head is there, it's not about big names again |

Mourinholic: Martial isn't ripe for United? Nonsense What age is Neymar..... what was Pato's age when he Milan's king, Rooney was signed at what age? Ronaldo? The same reasoning that made Pogba leave Morata led Juve to UCL final....I can go on and on If Zouma and Varane are bossing Defence where experience is HIGHLY required, abeg no excuse......
If you gat it,you garrit.......The boy is good God bless you |

Dadehmola: As excited as I'm about martial, coded guy's made a valid point. Martial isn't the kinda striker to lead a title charge at a top club.
Albeit his obvious quality, the lad is still raw & IMO, he isn't an out - and - out CF (yeah, his finishing seems to be pretty decent).
With the serial wankstars we have as CFs, I hope his good form continues while he improves as a player generally One question, what brings about a title challenge? Goals right? And if martial is scoring those goals, how is he not the kinda striker that should be leading our attack? What else would a marquee signing do differently, if he's going to continue his fine form, then he is the kinda of striker that should be leading our attack |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 9:14pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
codedguy1: Why don't you read what I wrote calmly and understand.
Most people did not know Martial when he was being mentioned as a possible buy and were apprehensive of having a somewhat unknown striker come lead our attack after the sale of Chicharito and the rest.
Yes Martial is scoring even I want him to continue in our starting lineup. Am not insisting that he should not start. Why is a slowpoke like Rooney who has practically done diddly squat still starting for us. All am saying is that If we had bought a cavani or Benzema or if that id1ot called Rooney was scoring, Martial won't be starting.
May Martials scoring form kontinu! I understood you perfectly, does a marquee signing guarantee goals? A very big NO, we buy Cavani or benzema now, they flop big time, we'll start calling for martial to start ahead of them, like I said, it's just the name... I don't mind an unknown player leading our attack as long as he keeps scoring the goals, same was said about di maria and young, that young won't be starting if we buy di maria, but it was the opposite... gone are the days when we used to crave for marquee signings Buy anybody with real promise, though i'm not saying we shouldn't go for top top players |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 8:17pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
codedguy1: We are impressed with Martial no doubt!
The truth is he should not be starting for a club like United who is expected to fight for trophies on all fronts.
Another truth is that we have no choice but to start him since we have slowpokes like Rooney, Fellaini is not a top 9, wilson is not exactly ready. If Lvg had bought a Marquee striker Martial won't be starting.
He has taken his opportunity and pray and hope he continues to improve from here, his confidence is high now and can only be to our advantage. Many of us were skeptical about a 19yr old boy striking for us.
I just feel we should be trying to impose ourselves in our games, the slow passing possession play only gives our opponents time to settle and gain confidence to hurt us.
Happy 3points. Somebody is scoring goals and you still insist he should not be starting, the job of a striker is to score goals and he is doing exactly that, marquee signing doesn't equate to goals, it's just the name As long as he keeps the goals coming in, he should always lead our attack, always |

If he gets an extension then Woodward n LVG must be crazy!
Some young chap in naija will do more than Rooney at the moment. He has been lacklustre all through d season bar the yeye Brugge UCL match. Watch some demented troglodytes make excuses for him after the match, rooney is a shame to watch, he should be making his presence felt, creating chances, scoring goals, but the ogre would rather pass to the back and pass sideways |

Pataki: Yeah so? If we are going by this argument, shouldn't Barcelona be beating AS Roma flawlessly going by UEFA rankings? Shouldn't manure be beating PSV since manure is higher in ratings compared to PSV? So why the excuse, you can't compare PSV to dinamo, arsenal faced a weaker opposition We both lost, but if there's anybody that should be making an excuse, it should not be you |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 5:57pm On Sep 17, 2015 |

Pataki: Brugge or PSV na team? Abeg no dey mention me for those kinda team. Let your manure team play against a team that has had a run of 41 games undefeated, and you a man short, then I can listen to your argument. Ordinary PSV, came from behind to beat una, you are consoling yourself with Arsenal playing with a team filled with players that have barely had 10 minutes of play so far this season.
Kontinu! So dinamo zagreb na strong team now oh... okay oh |
