Hey Nairaland Fam, I know you guys must be tired of my long messages but I can’t help but type another one and even at that, I still won’t be able to convey all the emotions I am feeling right now and for the past 3 days.

When I decided to come on here to ask for help, I had 2 loans to pay off, I had only 2days left to pay up the first loan, i had very little expectations and I wondered if anyone would listen to me or help me since it’s been ages since I last communicated here. You guys did not only listen to me, You guys cleared up both loans even when I came to ask for help to clear just one, the loan of 31,200. You guys cleared that and also cleared the second one, I couldn’t believe the love I was getting, I couldn’t believe the number of people that were willing to help in any way they could, You guys even defended me against someone who is part of y’all, You guys went out of your way to help me, You guys made me not to feel ashamed, You protected me, you encouraged me, you gave me hope, you reminded me that Family isn’t by blood only, 10 years ago when I first joined this platform, if someone had told me a day like this would come were I’ll have people turn up for me in a faceless forum, I would have laughed it off and say it isn’t possible. I really wanna mention every single one of you that contributed in helping me clear my loans but I don’t know if y’all would like your name mentioned, But I know you and I thank God for you guys, You guys gave me hope again, You guys showered me with not just money, But also with love and Encouraging and uplifting words. I haven’t experienced anything like it, if I could learn how to say Thank you in a 1000 different languages, I would without even breaking a sweat. Only if y’all knew the deep hole y’all dug me out of, 2 days, I had just 2 days left, And in that two days, in fact, it was a day, in that day y’all turned up and came through for me, I had absolutely no idea where I would get the money from, I thought that was it for me but out of nowhere, y’all turned up for me in ways I would never have imagined.

I am very glad to inform you guys that I’ve cleared up all my loans and not only that, I still have some cash to spare, all because of you all, thank you for lifting up a very heavy burden off my shoulders. Thank You, Thank you, Thank you, thank you. I will forever be grateful to every single one of y’all for how you came through for me in the space of 24 hours. Thank you so so much my nairaland family.


I cannot wait to be back on here fully and continue from where I left of. Which is Hoping and Longing for Chelsea’s woes to continue again I’ll be back very soon as soon as I’m ready mentally… Thanj you guys so much once again.

Nothing wrong in showing love to someone or coming through to someone who hit a rough patch..
The only thing is you have to make sure it isn't any form of swindle nor made up story.. therefore that is where character genuinety comes to play..
Dopejemi is a reputable member hence his reputation precedes him..
There is nothing wrong in folks reaching out to him and extending arms to him..
We all have been there.. it's either you give or you don't.. don't make the people giving feel bad nor make the beneficiary feel more bad.. there is no need for that..

Do you think it will be easy for everyone to come here and tell you his life story?? Someone like dopejemi has been a highly active member on this forum for the past 10 years, and last we heard from him was like Early last year when someone said he was shot {can't recall vividly}, so for him to seek help from this little e-community would tell you it's a last resort.
I know that people like dayo and Ibime have been helping people here on numerous occasions so you can't say it's for clout chasing when they have a solid history of doing this.

You made a good point but it's really not your place to tell people here unsolicited how to go about seeking solution to their problem.
If you're not interested in helping, it's not hard for you to just ignore, not dissuading people that might be inclined to help someone who really is one of us.

Hey Nairaland Family, It’s been a hot minute, I hope everyone is fine and doing Okay… I saw all your messages, kind words, worries etc and I was sincerely moved and grateful to still have people constantly remember me and talk about my absence, I can’t thank you all enough, I really can’t, words fail me right now but all I can say to you all is Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, it means the world to me. What happened to me was terrible and I wish I could erase the memory forever and never have to speak on it again, It was one of the darkest moments of my life But I’m grateful to God for Life… This may sound odd, That’s because it is and I’m more than ashamed/embarrassed to have to ask and resort to this.. after the incident, I lost everything, Totally. I was depressed for a long time, Life was tough for me, I deteriorated badly, I’d collect loans to try to start all over but it never worked out, I’d end up taking up another loan to pay for the previous one, just so I could breathe for a short while, I contemplated taking my own life but I just couldn’t, It’s been very very hard for me lately and I just couldn’t help but come here to ask for help in any way. I have a pending loan that is due in 2 days and I haven’t been able to rest/calm my mind since I started getting the notifications for it, I took up a loan of 26 thousand naira plus their interest fee which sums it up to 31,200, To some, this may seem small, a few years ago, this was small to me but right now, It’s as big as a million naira to an average man, it’s that bad friends, it really is, I still have another loan of 30k waiting for me that I took from a friend but cause he’s a friend, he is being patient and considerate.
