- President Muhammadu Buhari will get the support of Igbos in the 2019 general elections, a prominent Igbo monarch, Eze (Dr.) Oliver Ohanwe, has said - Ohanwe said voting Buhari is the best guarantee for the emergence of an Igbo president in 2023 - He lauded Buhari’s economic revolution National vice chairman Christian Royal Fathers of Nigeria, Eze (Dr.) Oliver Ohanwe, Obi Gburugburu Ihim, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari not to worry about Igbo votes in the 2019 presidential election. Eze Ohanwe, a member south-east council of royal fathers, assured the president that the people of south-east will vote massively for him in the election. Eze Ohanwe, who is also the traditional ruler of Ihim autonomous community in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state, said that the entire Igboland are in agreement that voting Buhari is the best guarantee for the emergence of an Igbo president in 2023. Speaking to Daily Trust, the monarch said he has been mobilising other traditional rulers and key stakeholders in Igboland that Buhari is the way to go in 2019. His words: “This is one of the projects I am convinced with and I am pursuing it with all vigour and sincerity because as a foremost traditional ruler in the south-east, I am committed to it because I know it is the best project for Ndigbo now.” The monarch also said one single term is not enough for President Buhari to achieve tangible developmental objectives. “I agree with the president that you cannot achieve much under four years considering what he met on the ground. If his first four years is used for building, the second term will be used to consolidate on the achievements of the first and I believe Mr. President is a man of honour who will deliver on his promises,” he said. Eze Ohanwe lauded what he described as Buhari’s economic revolution, especially in the agricultural sector, saying that his policy on rice production has led to food sufficiency in that sector. “We have now put importation of rice behind us and we now have rice that compete favourably with the imported ones,” he added. |
senatordave1:I was very generous to PDP in Ondo, Akwaibom, Imo and Kaduna |
senatordave1:Thank you very much. I |
KATSINA01:saraki will deliver kwara to PDP. his candidate, atunwa will be governor. |
Awol1:estimated voters turnout, of approximately 55% across all states. All river state and akwaibom state will not turnout 2015 figures. there will be violence in Akwaibom state. |
raumdeuter:generous to APC in southeast? did you see the figures at all ? its 13% for APC in imo and 19% for anambra. let me tell if care is not taken APC might poll 25% in each of the states. mind you both Anambra and imo, the biggest in SE, cant turn out more than 650k votes each. i am from the southeast. Imo. APC -. 94, 947. PDP - 591, 298. Anambra . APC. 97, 964. PDP. 536, 731. my forecast didnt give Ekiti above 400k. you might be right for Akwaibom, but with the recent decampings and akpabio senatorial zone effect. the margin in akwaibom for PDP might not be more than 500k |
McMay112:social media rants and wishes dont win elections, party structures win elections. if Amaechi, Akpabio, Adams oshiomole and delta APC will have the backing of the security agencies. PDP will be heavily shocked in the Southsouth |
kingkakaone:yes you are correct, by january it will be very clearer. i dont think Atiku will win Buhari in Adamawa, write it down somewhere. yes atiku might win Kwara with wider margin, but, it wont exceed 50-60k. kwara has a very small number of votes and wont affect the general result. one thing is certain, buhari will run PDP very very very close in Kwara |
raumdeuter:its based on approximate figures of votes expected. if i do it by percentage it may not show the true reflection in term of voting strenght. for example. PDP can score 99% ib bayesla but the number of votes might be 400k while APC can score 70% in kano and have 2million votes. so percentages doesnt show the true picture. for ondo Gov. Akerodolu is not performing well and he has problems with NWC of APC so it may affect APC adversely in the general elections. see Imo also for similar circumstances |

with just about 3 months to the general elections, its increasingly becoming clearer, the strenght of each party in variuos regions and states. Barring a monumental turn around in electoral fortunes of the 2 major political parties, this is the true reflective outcome of the 2019 elections. if you dont agree, give me your opinion please without insults please. please no emotional bias opinion and mature argurment. raker300:You need to travel to the north to enlighten them about the truth. Most people in the north already have this information. Atiku will lose heavily in the north |
baliyubla:Its there already. 90% of Northerners will not vote Atiku for the following reasons. 1. Atiku is percieved in the North as a thief "barawo". 2. The Northerners love Buhari with passion. 3. They see Peter Obi as a tribalist who demanded that notherners wear ID cards in Anambra, and closed their shops. All Northerners know this, and you know what that means. Same way PDP painted PMB in the south as a jihadist, Islamist, Northernization agent, Bigot and lover of the north. PDP should not cry foul, they are served the dose of their own medicine. |
IbrahimDamola:NW , Atiku? Please give me that substance you are taking, it sure makes people very high |
gurunlocker:Bad losers? Have they lost? I didnt know when inec released any result |
BabaRamota1980:You will know the link to danfodio when the election result in NE and NW are announced |
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar lll-led Jama’atu Nasril Islam on Tuesday knocked Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and a former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, for linking the herdsmen killings across Benue, Taraba and other parts of the North, to the continuation of the late Usman Danfodio’s jihad. The Sultan is the President General of the JNI with its headquarters in Kaduna. The group warned the governor and his cohorts, not to take Nigerian Muslims for granted by denigrating the Muslim community. This was just as the JNI urged Nigerian Muslims to intensify prayers for peace as the 2019 general elections approach. The JNi added that the need for Muslims to pray for hitch-free polls became imperative as politicians continued to foment crisis in the land. READ ALSO: ‘Leave Fayose out of Buhari, Obasanjo’s fight’ He called on “Muslims to intensify prayers for peace to return to the nation and for a hitch-free 2019 general election as politicians are busy trying to cause crises with their unguarded utterances.” Saying that the group would not have reacted to the governor’s vituperation, but for the fact that it maligned the name of the revered Usman Danfodio. The JNI through its Secretary-General, Dr. Abubakar Khalid Aliyu, stated this in Kaduna on Tuesday. The group said, “This is a reaction to a recent interview granted by HE Samuel Ortom, Governor of Benue State to an online TV programme, The Osasu Show, in Makurdi, the state capital, and has been carried widely by both the print and electronic media, to the effect that the ongoing herders-farmers clashes in his state are a continuation of the Jihad of our revered Shehu Usman Danfodio. “For the records, the governor is not alone in throwing these tantrums, Femi Fani Kayode, one-time Minister of Aviation during the reign of President Obasanjo has always said lots of unprintable things against Shehu Danfodio. This rejoinder is premised on the fact that Islam does not encourage its adherents to castigate other people of faith or fabricate lies against them but encourages that once the Ummah (Society) of Islam is frequently maligned, then it is incumbent on the society to defend itself, hence the need for this write-up. “The Benue governor got it wrong, most likely because of his malicious intent to smear the revered personality of Shehu Danfodio who had said in a widely-quoted statement that: “Truth is an open wound, only justice can heal it.” https://punchng.com |
