if we comply with this, we wont run out of drinks... We would
even have excess...
If you bring Moet, Hennesy, Ciroc, no wahala u would be
highly appreciated *wink*
You could also bring snack: shortbread, hobnobs, chips e.t.c
but whatever snack brought must be sealed for obvious
reasons....
Stuffs are normally sold at the beach ; suya, fish e.t.c..... That
should be on individual expense.
And dont forget to bring your disposable cups.


Please do well to indicate if you would attend the beach party. There is a large turn out from the BBM group, would love our Nairaland friends to come in mass also. Since the idea was born here.

Best of luck to all corpers serving here in abuja! I actually served here in abuja back 2010. Let me share some relevant points dat may be of help 2 d current batch B corp member. Firstly u hav 2 forget about ur grade dat u came out with 4rm ur university or polytechnic, all dat matters in abuja camp is connections. D question here is what connection do u hav? Is it connections 4rm big men or connection 4rm God? U r here 2 decide 4urself. There are alots of fun and activities going on now on Nysc camp but i bet u three weeks will soon come 2 an end and u will be left alone with ur posting letter. There are two things left with posting letter is either u r (accepted or rejected) i pray dat all d people reading dis will be accepted in their various PPA, Amen. While u r engaging in camp activities and fun on camp some of ur colleague will be making several calls 2 big men dat r highly connected for help of their posting letter 2 a good organisation. Pls and pls if u knw dat u don't hav any connection of big men, don't be carried away with d fun and activity on camp. Dis is where God's connection comes in which is d one dat is superior and powerful dan men connections. Kindly partake in NCCF early morning prayers and make sure dat u pray when u are also alone. I want u 2 knw dat prayer work faster dan human efforts. Secondly, i want u 2 knw dat if u r posted 2 ministry u may make much money dat may be enough 4 u 2 be self employed after service, d reasons 4 dis is dat ministries do not hav d power 2 employ graduate except ND or school cert. employment of graduate into ministry comes 4rm civil service commission. If u r posted 2 parastatal or agency u may make money and as well be fortunate to be retained cos parastatals and agencies hav d power 2 employ graduate, note there r also some parastatals dat do not hav powers 2 employ graduates such as accountant general, auditor general, survyor general etc. When posted 2 private organisation u may be fortunate and favoured 2 make money and as well be retained it all depends on d organisation and ur effort towards d organisational goal. Lastly, remember dat three weeks will come to an end and also 12 months will also elapse. what will u be left with? ( employment, savings dat will be enough 4 u 2 be selfemployed or being unemployed) my prayer 4 u all is d first two which is employemen and savings 4 selfemployed. Let me call ur attension 2 my experence when i was serving here in abuja, i do not hav connections here in abuja neither do i hav a place 2 stay. After three weeks in camp i had no place 2 go but i was sleeping in camp 4 three months bf4 i was able 2 afford a selfcontain on my own. I was reject where i was posted 2 but later accepted in a big organisation dat is beyond my power and five months after service i was fully employed in one of d federal government parastatal and am totally based here in abuja working and doing fine. All 2 d glory of Amighty God. I only wrote d above message as word's of encouragement dat with God all things are possible. Pls and pls be prayerful cos it's not easy 2 face d reality of life after school and service. If there is anything dat u still want 2 knw about serving in abuja be free 2 ask. Almighty God will grant u all ur heart desires and i pray dat u will tell others a good story about ur service in abuja.

My PPA is in surulere.
My dear, you can't plan with mine but rather plan with your pocket/bank account then your choice of location cos one man's meat is another man's poison ....but make sure you don't go for anything higher than your budget.
Well, i got just a room selfcontain with adequate water&power supply here in surulere, you may be lucky to get posted to an area you can get an affordable rent as here in surulere, rents of any kind are very outrageous bearing in mind the compulsory 2years rents(you maybe lucky to see a landlord that will accept a year or a year and six months but its rare hun), commission and agent fees attached. So, these are the things you should put into consideration while registering in camp as it favoured alot of us as regards to the addresses we provided.
Initially, i was squatting with a friend here in surulere, so that was the address i provided in my Nysc documents in camp, 85% of us all if not more were posted to same LG/area we provided. So, even though you have got no address now to provide, start now to make inquiry for an address to use as it will help influence your PPA posting wrapped up with prayers.....
Alot said already right?LOL....... Well, like dad will always say and i quote.."One step at a time, Calm your tits while on it, once the bridge is approached, one must definitely cross over Insha Allah".....

I wasn't given accommodation in my PPA, so i had to get an accommodation for myself close to the place since my parents don't stay here in lagos and for convenience sake also.. So, why planing your service, always map out a Plan A and Plan B in other not to be swept off your feet.... GoodLuck hun in whatever plans you come up with later!
