Crime / Kidnap Channels TV Reporter In Rivers, Demand N30m by dotun4light(m): 9:44am On Apr 12
Gunmen kidnapped a journalist and reporter with Channels Television, Mr Joshua Rogers, at his residence in Rumuosi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Thursday night.

Rogers, who covers the Rivers State Government House for his organisation, was reportedly trailed after he closed from work to his residence.

The miscreants accosted him before he alighted from his car, pointed a gun at him and whisked him along with his vehicle off to an unknown destination at about 9 pm.

A source who said he doesn’t want his name mentioned said the reporter had earlier covered an event in Ndoni in the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of the state where Governor Siminalayi Fubara, inaugurated a Primary Healthcare Centre.

The facility was built and donated to the state by the PAMO Educational Foundation, founded by former Rivers governor, Dr Peter Odili, on Thursday.

“We are appealing to the kidnappers to release him immediately and unhurt. He is just a journalist doing his job and not a money bag. So I don’t know the purpose of his kidnap.”

It was also gathered that the hoodlums had contacted his wife and demanded N30m as ransom before releasing him.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, for confirmation, were unsuccessful as she did not pick up several calls put across to her by PUNCH Online.

Iringe-Koko has also yet to reply to a text message sent to her as of publication on Friday morning.
Foreign Affairs / Congo: Education Minister Impregnates Deputy, Claims It’s Workplace Accident by dotun4light(m): 12:04pm On May 24, 2023
In a surprising admission, Tony Mwaba Kazadi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Minister of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, acknowledged having an unplanned pregnancy with Aminata Namasia.

Yet he said it was an accident at work.

In spite of the fact that they were both married, Namasia is claimed to have fallen in love with Kazadi after being appointed as the National Deputy Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education in Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde’s cabinet on April 12, 2021.

Namasia, however, was cited by a local newspaper, The Street Journal, as having refuted the story on her Twitter page, claiming that outside of her official and public duties, she has a life that must be respected by all; a right, she claimed, that is guaranteed to all Congolese by their constitution.

She argued that damaging her reputation shouldn’t be a practice that was condoned because it could jeopardise not only her relationships but also the reputations of her married male coworkers and their houses.

She said: “On the eve of the electoral contests scheduled for December of this year, political detractors can attack my opinions and political actions rather than opting for practices tending to smear my person.”

The tale was debunked by “a reliable Congolese” named Nugandu, who was quoted in The Street Journal, and claimed that it was all a part of the DRC’s political theatre.
Culture / When The Dead Owe The Church. by dotun4light(m): 5:39pm On Sep 12, 2022
This may not be the best or the kind of write up you expect to come across on Nairaland, but indulge me to put down a piece of my mind.

I respect culture and tradition, likewise religion. Culture and tradition helps to forge peace, love and unity in a society. Religion on a long helps to shape our way of life in relation to divinity.

Culture and Religion are awesome because I believe that with them, we should enjoy some form of liberty and the right to positive choices in life. But "IRONICALLY", these two aspect that affect our lives could be"ENSLAVING".

To cut my long story short, in this part of the world, our traditions are putting so much burden on us than it should be. And the churches are not helping matters.

Imagine that someone dies. And you as a child(ren) is/are expected to provide all manner of items to the deceased's maternal/paternal people in the name of informing and inviting them to the burial. And, they will always come to the burial with all manner of crazy demands.

The most shocking part is the church telling the deceased's family that the deceased is owning this dues or that dues, which has to be paid before the dead can be buried. Hence, placing more burden on the deceased's child(ren).

I only wonder when these rubbish will stop.
Celebrities / Charles Becomes King Of Britain After Queen Elizabeth’s Death; Here’s Who’s In T by dotun4light(m): 8:13pm On Sep 08, 2022
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 70 years, has died at the age of 96, and her eldest son, Charles, has become king. Here’s what you need to know about who is in line to succeed after him:

Charles is currently married to Camilla Parker Bowles, who will be queen consort.

Previously, he was married to and divorced from Princess Diana, who died in 1997. Prince William of Cambridge, their eldest son, is now first in line to the throne, according to the royal family’s website.

Second, third, and fourth in line to the throne are the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. George is the oldest at nine years old.

Fifth in line is Prince William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, who married American actress Meghan Markle. They have “stepped back as senior members of The Royal Family,” the website says. Their two children are sixth and seventh in line.

Eighth is Prince Andrew, Prince Charles’s brother, who was entangled in scandal for his past ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the US financier who killed himself while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges. Andrew is followed by his children and grandchildren.

The other two children of Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip -- Anne, Princess Royal and Edward, Earl of Wessex -- and their children and grandchildren follow.

A total of 23 people are now in the line of succession.

The website notes, “The succession to the throne is regulated not only through descent, but also by Parliamentary statute.”

Parliament more than 300 years ago laid down various conditions that the sovereign must meet. The conditions include a ban on Roman Catholics succeeding to the throne and a requirement that the sovereign must be in communion with the Church of England and must swear to preserve the established Church of England and the established Church of Scotland, the website says.

Arianne Chernock, a professor of British history at Boston University, said the religious requirements “have to do quite a bit with the fact that the sovereign is the head of the church of England. It’s a religious role as well.”

Amendments have been made in recent years to the system, including ending male primogeniture, which allowed a younger son to leapfrog an elder daughter in the line of succession; ending the requirement that those who marry Roman Catholics be disqualified from the line of succession; and limiting the number of those who require the monarch’s permission to marry to the sixth closest to the throne.

The system has “evolved over centuries,” Chernock said, but “it is open to modification.”

She said that the queen’s death was an important moment “in the sense that Queen Elizabeth ... never carried political power per se, but she was a hugely central and symbolic figure in national and global culture and politics, and a very stabilizing force at that, especially with all the tumult and turmoil of recent years.”

It’s not clear how Charles will fare as king, she said. “The longevity of the institution stems from the fact that it’s an institution that stretches back centuries. It’s never just about the person inhabiting the role. Charles will have, at least, some good will behind him, but he comes to the position with a much more challenging personal history. People know far more about him. So I think it will be a more challenging reign,” she said.

It very shameful to see ladies like this exposing their bodies up and down.

Solution: when people stop making them feel relevant, they will learn to dress properly

The cool air felt heavy against my bare arms, as if they were holding onto raindrops that were reluctant to fall. It was a cold Sunday evening, I sat comfortably under the comfort of my children’s duvet, while I watched them sleep. Then I heard familiar voices in the sitting room. David and Ifeoma were back from church.

“Don’t worry, she won’t do anything to you. Take off your jacket, let’s go inside.”
David Instructed, serious faced as they entered the sitting room. Ifeoma sat quietly on the couch. Her heart skipped a bit when she saw me appear in the sitting room, immediately she sensed my watchful eyes, she became bold and confident.

“You should let me be please madam Ekom. it is not my fault that pastor wants me.” she said in a shaky tone.

“Get prepared for where God will be taking you to Ifeoma. Very soon, you will be so ashamed of yourself, God has revealed to me how such a day will be.”

“And I hope he also revealed to you that I have finally agreed to divorce you Ekom. You and your adopted kids should start packing.” David said, he didn’t look directly at my face.

I flew on the center table firmly and slapped him twice on the Face.

” You and your Adulterous lover will leave this house of my sweat for me and my Children. I toiled with you! prayed that we grow together. I carried the sands of this house on my head, which led to my first and last miscarriage!
go to hell with your divorce paper, I am God’s own woman, I detest divorce. I will be patient. Go to hell with your church! with your lover! shame on you two! ” I snapped at them, I was throwing curses at them. Tears rolled down my cheeks, I made choking sounds as I walked angrily into the Room. A film of sweat coated my entire body like a second skin.

The silence was broken only by the whir of the ceiling fan as it sliced through the still air.

David sat down and slowly lowered his head into his hands.

**
“Ekom, unbelievable. You mean David said these words to you?”
Pastor Felix asked. He has been David’s childhood friend since the days of theological school. He founded a big church and had a large congregation too. Pastor Felix was a mature looking man, who had grey hairs and wore round spectacles at all times. He was a learned man of God who was highly respected. He was also the president of Pastors Forum.

“How can a church as big as Hills ministries condone such sinful act from their pastor? I am so disappointed to hear this. What did Lady Georgina say about this?” He asked in a baritone voice.

My eyes were heavy, and I was trying so hard to control tears from running out again.

“it’s okay Ekom. I am really sorry. I need you to pray seriously now. You are a strong woman.” he said as he patted my back softly.
“I am holding a pastor’s meeting for this reason by tomorrow.” He said authoritatively.

My nerves bit with frustration and tension. I was so ashamed that my marriage was going to be discussed the next day at pastor’s forum

He sneaked into the children’s bedroom while I was about to pray. The imagery of how he sneaked into Ifeoma’s room was now clear, but it didn’t hurt me anymore.

“Baby…..Please can I see you?” He said as his voice trailed off.

I stood up gently and followed him to the sitting room. I found myself holding my breath, I folded my hands in my lap and waited.

“i have missed you, despite all of these. I am sorry for the way mom talked to you, she is only acting of concern for me. I am her only child.”

“So you are going to marry Ifeoma after she puts to birth?” I asked in a low tone. There were sadness in my eyes.
He pulled me close and began to kiss me softly.

“I feel like we are doing this for the very first time.” I admitted softly. My voice a broken whisper as I gave him my whole body.
Now my limbs entwined with his, it was a joy unparalleled to have the freedom to slide my hands down that strong, lean back with its taut, well developed muscles and silky skin, to feel the amazing well defined mouth of his lip taste. It looked as if I was the husband snatcher, sneaking to make love to my madam’s husband in her comfort zone.

Kissing my tears away, David drove hard into my body and finally fell against me, his breathing harsh and his forehead lightly sheened with sweat. As the erotic scents from our skin mingled, it was time to go to back to reality.

I was reminded again that my home was in a mess.

“Goodnight.” David whispered and left me in the warmness of the sitting room.

*

The next morning which was Sunday, the morning winds were swift. It began to drizzle. David and Ifeoma had left quite early. I drove the kids quietly to church that Morning.

“Mummy, is Aunty Ifeoma going to be our new mummy?” my youngest daughter Mfon asked girlishly.

“No darling. Jesus won’t let it happen. Whatever you don’t want in your life, ask Jesus to take it away .”

“mummy, will Jesus take Aunty Ifeoma away from our house?” Teye asked.

“Yes Baby, Jesus will.” We were all basked in the feeling of calmness that over took us.

After I dropped the kids at the children’s church, I stepped into the church auditorium. Everything changed, including my seat which was right beside my husband’s seat on the podium. My heart trembled, as I saw Ifeoma rightly seated on my space.

My legs began to shake in between with the choir’s ministration.
I shook my head like a crazy woman, my bottom lip quivering, I was trying not to cry anymore.

It was obvious that I was about to push off Ifeoma from my seat, and give her the beatings of her life. But the ushers held me.

“maama calm down.” they whispered in chorus.

My distress was genuine and heartfelt.

I was still devastated with the thoughts Ifeoma and my husband David. After I watched the kids sleep, I strolled into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.

Just after I poured the milk in a mug, I felt someone was in the kitchen too. I looked back, quickly surprised.

“Welcome madam.” She said, almost stuttering.

I slowly poured the hot water from the flask into the mug, stirred it a bit and sipped.
Then I noticed a protruded stomach, she had tried to cover it with her handbag.

“Are you pregnant Ifeoma? you look it.” I asked in a soft tone.

Her expression was in earnest. “Yes madam, didn’t pastor tell you? I am pregnant for him, we are expecting a child.”
Her voice had a tremor in it, even though her face was bold and firm.

Her words were like the score of a sharpened blade across my heart. I sensed the wound gape open even before she’d finished speaking.

“You were sleeping with my husband while I was away?”

“I am sorry madam, I think pastor is in the best place to answer that question. it was an agreement.”
She said calmly and walked out of the kitchen, making a flappy sound with her shoes.
I stood there for moments like a mannequin, the tea cup in my hands, and then my eyes right at the door.
The sound of my ringing tone, brought me back from the shock I had.

“Hello Ekom?”

“Yes Lizzy.” I responded with a sigh of relieve.

“Thank God I have been able to reach you, I have been dialing your American lines but not going through.” she sounded a bit terrified.

“well, I am back in Nigeria now. I came in this morning. Is everything fine?”

“Not at all, pastor brought your girl for maternity scan at my clinic last weekend. What’s that her name again?”

“Ifeoma?”

“Iyaaa, Ifeoma. I was shocked to see her all over him like they were lovers. What is happening?”
Tears rolled down my eyes as Lizzy went on talking about things that went on while I was away. Something flared deep in my eyes, but my lips remained sealed.

I was stricken silent, but the thud of my heartbeat sounded like cannon fire in my ears

I wanted to talk to David. When I knew he was home I decided to go to our bedroom.

“May I come in?” My expression inscrutable, I walked into the room when I noticed that someone was having a bath, without waiting for a reply.

Then I saw David on the bed, he was almost half naked, partly covered with the duvet.
He stared at me, slightly muzzy headed after being woken abruptly.

“We have to talk.” I said, almost whispering.

“I know.” he said.

“Who is in the bathroom?”

“oh, it’s Ifeoma.”

“Ifeoma now uses our bathroom?” I looked at David and suddenly wished the look in his eyes meant guilt and shame.

“Yes. She is having my baby.”

“I am aware David. But why have you taken yourself so down?”

“I am a human being Ekom!” He said huskily, raising his voice.

“So I am what? Am I not a human being too? I went to America with the church’s name, with the family name. I went there to make a name for us! To get Hills of grace ministries a branch in Houston takes so many churches years, but I used my charisma, and did that in few months…..”

“What I mean is…..” He faltered. But my heart was going wild.

“let me finish!” I screamed!

Just after a pause, Ifeoma came out of the bathroom, she had my towel tied around her.

“Who gave you my towel?” I asked meanly.

“I did.” David replied.

“Ifeoma, why were you sleeping with my husband while I was away? You were paid to take care of the kids, and clean the house.” The look I gave, and my voice tone practically froze the blood in her veins.
I walked steps by steps towards her, dragged the towel off her body, leaving her naked.

“Aunty please….” she whimpered.

“Did you remember all the good things I did for you and your family while you were having sex with my husband! did you?” I held her neck forcefully while David ran and held me backward.

They both sensed the tension in the room and ran out.

Slowly I let out the breath I was holding.

leaning back on the luxurious upholstery, I let a smile steal my lips like the sun peeping from behind the cloud. God was watching, and I needed to talk to him.

That morning, my husband David came to pick me at the airport. He was dry faced and tensed, very unusual.

Other times, David would be so excited to come pick me, he would kiss me and hug me passionately, but now, everything became different.
“You kept me waiting for hours in there.”
I said, gazing angrily at him.
“Don’t tell me it’s traffic honey, today is Saturday.”

“I am sorry, I had to pick the kids from summer lessons, and then rush to church to counsel a few couples.”He said soothingly.

“you now prepare the kids for school, What happened to Ifeoma? she is the kids nanny.”

“And you are the Kids mom!” He Screamed suddenly.
“you’ve been away from your family for 5months Ekom, the kids don’t even talk about you anymore.” David deliberately slowed his breathing in a bid to calm himself down.

I was silent for a while.
my lips quivered, but David ignored that he saw tears glistening in my eyes.

Catching his eyes as he tried to look at me, I sensed a shiver of unease go through him.

He was right, I was away from my family for four months or more, I had women’s conference and hundreds of women to mentor in Houston. It was a moment I didn’t want to miss.
Then I broke the silence; “what of Ifeoma?”

David looked uncertain. “she fell ill, so I asked her to go see Doctor Dennis.”

We were both quiet until we got home.

I sat on my bed now, I slipped off my slippers and sank my feet into rug and decided to keep them sunk in so that my toes would feel cushioned. So that a part of me would feel safe.

“mummy!” my daughter screamed, breathing deeply.
She smuggled into my arms and I grabbed her tight to myself.

“where is your sister?” I whispered into her ears.

“she is sleeping.”

Not long I heard tiny foots running along the corridor that led to my room. “mummy, mummy…” She jumped on me and kissed me on my cheeks, leaving me in the sweet comfort of motherhood.

They looked so healthy and chubby.

“what has aunty Ifeoma and Daddy been feeding you with?”

“Golden morn and banana porridge!” they chorused shrilly.

“Mummy, Church people said that you are no longer daddy’s wife.” My first daughter Teye said, her eyes became sad. Deep and sad.

“Aunty Ifeoma Now sleeps in daddy’s room.” Mfon the youngest said.

My heart jumped, I knew at that moment, that there were stories In their
eyes that I was yet to know……

Agriculture / Featherless Chicken Creates A Flap by dotun4light(m): 9:20pm On Jul 14, 2021
Featherless chickens could be the future of mass poultry farming in warmer countries, says an Israeli geneticist who has created a bare-skinned “prototype”.

The new chicken would be lower in calories, faster-growing, environmentally friendly, and more likely to survive in warmer conditions, claims Avigdor Cahaner of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He created his red-skinned chicken by selectively crossing a breed with a naturally bare neck with a regular broiler chicken

But critics say past experience with feather-free chickens resulting from random genetic mutation shows they suffer more than normal birds. Males have been unable to mate, because they cannot flap their wings, and “naked” chickens of both sexes are more susceptible to parasites, mosquito attacks and sunburn.

“Featherless birds would also be very susceptible to any temperature variations – especially as young birds.

Sports / Christian Eriksen And Family To Watch Euro 2020 Final by dotun4light(m): 9:30pm On Jul 08, 2021
UEFA has invited Christian Eriksen, his wife, and the six paramedics who saved his life to the final of Euro 2020 at Wembley on Sunday July 11.

Recall the Denmark football star collapsed on the pitch during his side’s opening group game against Finland last month and was resuscitated by paramedics. CPR was administered and his heart was restarted with a defibrillator as players shielded the medics.

UEFA said Eriksen, his wife and six medics were invited to the final, but there was no confirmation he would attend.

One of the paramedics, Peder Ersgaard, said he was honoured to receive a VIP invite from UEFA boss Aleksander Ceferin.

“I’m excited, like a child on Christmas Eve,” he told the Fagbladet FOA magazine.

“I’m very proud of my efforts, but also of the whole team. It wasn’t a one-man effort.”

There is no confirmation on whether Eriksen will be in London yet as he is recovery at home.

Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots told Sportsmail: 'Christian still feels part of this group. Denmark is a small country — the bonds between players are very tight.'
Politics / Canadian Justice Minister Calls Nigeria's Justice Minister, Malami, A "Disgrace" by dotun4light(m): 1:45pm On Jul 06, 2021
The Minister of Justice and Solicitor-General of the Government of Alberta, Canada, Kelechi Madu, has slammed the Nigerian Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami, over the re-arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

In a post on his LinkedIn page, Madu said if reports that Kanu was abducted from Kenya were true, Malami was not only a ''disgrace to the rule of law but also not worthy to be a public officer.''

The Canadian official, who is also the Deputy Government House Leader, said Nigeria and Kenya violated international law in the manner Kanu was extradited and called on world leaders to apply appropriate sanctions.

Madu demanded the release of Kanu. He also urged the Nigerian government to ensure his safety.

Madu wrote: "The Attorney-General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami, is a disgrace to the rule of law and not worthy to be an officer of the court.

"He has shown himself to be a bigot who does not understand what it means to live in a pluralistic society governed by the dictates of the rule of law."

Madu added: "Nigeria is burning, and the people of Nigeria, except those who are holding the country down, want out.

"You cannot destroy the hope and aspirations of a people destined for greatness and expect them to bow down in servitude.

"You cannot destroy a generation of people and expect them not to fight for their freedom. The power of guns, state-sponsored terrorism will not achieve peace or the preservation of Nigeria.

"The Igbo and other ethnic groups in Nigeria who are calling for Nigeria to be renegotiated do not seek violence or war. They seek peace. They seek progress and the advancement of their people. They seek fairness, safety, equity, and justice for their people.

"They seek the opportunity for their children to grow up and achieve their God-given abundant potential.

"They seek the rise of a people with the work ethic, intellect and capacity to be a truly global super power on the continent of Africa. They seek dignity over inhumane treatment. They seek life over death.

"Friends of the black world must unite and liberate the people of Nigeria from this bondage and from the claws of corrupt and inept politicians who have no business being near the corridor of Nigeria’s political power."

Computers / Microsoft’s Windows 11 Blue Screen Of Death To Become Black by dotun4light(m): 2:44pm On Jul 02, 2021
Microsoft’s so-called blue screen of death (BSoD) will turn black in the new Windows 11 operating system, according to those with access to a preview of the software.

The screen appears when users have a problem on their computer, often prompting a restart.

A black background will replace blue, matching the logon and shutdown screens in the new system.

The BSoD allows IT professionals to diagnose hardware and memory issues.

It usually includes information and data that can help to analyse what problem caused the screen to appear.

In 2016, a QR code was added to it which users can scan to find out more information about the fault.

Windows 8 also added an unhappy face to the screen in 2012.

Photos of the new screen suggest both the QR code and sad symbol will remain on the black version..

Windows 11 was launched last month and will be available as a free update to existing Windows 10 users - although some devices are unable to run the new system, which requires a minimum of 64 gigabytes of storage and 4 gigabytes of RAM.

Microsoft will wind down Windows 10 in 2025.

Another visual change is that the start button has been moved to the bottom centre of the screen from the bottom left.
Foreign Affairs / Biden Meets With Florida Families Amid ‘unbearable’ Wait by dotun4light(m): 11:23am On Jul 02, 2021
The president said chances were fading that anyone else would be found alive under the mass of concrete and steel left by a collapsed condominium.

President Biden spent three hours Thursday consoling the families of those who died or were still missing under the rubble of a collapsed condominium building near Miami Beach, saying “the waiting is unbearable” for agonized relatives as crews halted a desperate search for much of the day out of concern that the rest of the complex could also fall.

In remarks after the private meeting, which was held in a hotel ballroom, Mr. Biden said the families were “going through hell.” Many have been waiting for more than a week for word about whether anyone might still be alive under the concrete and steel.

“I sat with one woman who had just lost her husband and her little baby boy, didn’t know what to do,” the president said. “I sat with another family that lost almost the entire family, cousins, brothers, sisters. And to watch them, and they’re praying and pleading and God let there be a miracle.”

For Mr. Biden, confronting the largest national tragedy since he took office was complicated by the fact that he could not eulogize those who were still unaccounted for, or hold out much hope for the missing. “They know that the chances are, as each day goes by, diminished slightly,” the president said. “But at a minimum, at a minimum, they want to recover the bodies. They want to recover the bodies.”

Eighteen people are known to have died in the collapse of Champlain Towers South, and as many as 145 people remain missing, numbers that have remained unchanged since Wednesday.

The president arrived in Florida hours after rescue workers were pulled off the debris pile amid concern that the rest of the building might fall. Although the search resumed hours later, the delay was another setback for a search that for days had proceeded slowly and without hopeful news.

John McAfee died by an apparent suicide hours after reports surfaced that he would be extradited to face federal charges in the US, according to local media.

The Spanish High Court had authorised his extraditions to the United States where he faces tax evasion charges, a court document released on Wednesday showed.

He was arrested at Barcelona airport in October 2020, said during an extradition hearing this month that the accusations against him were politically motivated.

McAfee was hit with a 10-count indictment in the Western District of Tennessee in October for allegedly evading taxes on millions of dollars in income.

Sports / UEFA Sets To Scrap Away Goal System In UEFA Champions League And Europa League by dotun4light(m): 2:56pm On Jun 25, 2021
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

This means fixtures in which the two teams score the same number of goals over the two legs will now have two 15-minute periods of extra time, and, if required, penalty kicks.

The statement read in part: “The away goals rule has been an intrinsic part of UEFA competitions since it was introduced in 1965. However, the question of its abolition has been debated at various UEFA meetings over the last few years.

Although there was no unanimity of views, many coaches, fans and other football stakeholders have questioned its fairness and have expressed a preference for the rule to be abolished.

“There is also criticism of the unfairness, especially in extra time, of obliging the home team to score twice when the away team has scored.

“It’s fair to say that home advantage is nowadays no longer as significant as it once was.

“Taking into consideration the consistency across Europe in terms of styles of play, and many different factors which have led to a decline in home advantage, the UEFA Executive Committee has taken the correct decision in adopting the view that it’s no longer appropriate for an away goal to carry more weight than one scored at home. “

Family / Woman Bans 'blood Family' From Her Funeral And Publishes Strict Guest List In He by dotun4light(m): 12:59pm On Jun 15, 2021
A woman from Spain has gone viral following her death, after publishing the exclusive guest list for her funeral in her obituary - where she says none of her relatives are allowed to attend

In life, sometimes people don't always get on very well with their family - it's sad, but it's true.

Family feuds can get pretty messy and we recently saw how one man had fallen out with his in-laws over their babysitting methods, while a woman was about to get into it with her daughter over lies about her dad.

And now we've seen that these ugly grudges can even be held after a family member has passed away.

As reported by The Daily Star, Maria Paz Fuentes Fernandez, a woman from Spain, has gone viral following her death on June 2, as she used her obituary to ban her relatives from attending her funeral and share the exclusive guest list.

Published in El Progreso newspaper in Lugo, Galicia, the obituary read: "Since my family has not been by blood for a long time, I declare in my last will and testament that only the people mentioned below can attend my funeral service, be it at the funeral parlour, church or cemetery."

Maria, whose age has not been given, went on to list 15 names of people who were invited to her funeral

The Sony Ericsson P910 is a smartphone by Sony Ericsson introduced in 2004 and the successor of the Sony Ericsson P900.

The P910 has a full QWERTY keyboard on the back of the flip (the flip can also be removed completely, allowing for a 'traditional' PDA form-factor). The biggest change from the P900 to the P910 is that the P910 supports Memory Stick PRO Duo and the phone's internal memory has been upped from 16 MB to 64 MB. Although Memory Stick PRO Duo comes in larger capacities, the maximum supported by the P910i is 2 GB. It is powered by an ARM9 processor clocked at 156 MHz and runs the Symbian OS with the UIQ graphical user interface. Also, the touchscreen displays 262,144 colours (an 18-bit colour depth), as opposed to the P900's 65,536 (16-bit). It comes in three versions:
