Did u complete the installation process using Revolution? . . is yes i believe u have rooted your device but u may need to also install BUSYBOX; u can get it in the market . . i recommend d one made by Stephen Ericson
Dont bother your head what Busybox does, just install, run n then reboot your device

I tried putting a downloaded update.zip in root of my SD card and install but when I get into the h-boot environment and try updating from SD card it doesn't work. I use samsung galaxy s. As i dont know much about android, pls will sombody enlightene me on what root means. am sure am not making the most of my phone. Its version is 2.3.5, cyanogen mode 7 (whatever that means). BTW, it eats up so much data. Why?

Cyanogen Mod 7 is a custom ROM designed to give added functionality and advanced functions to android devices. Since you have this ROM installed already, you are rooted! Rooting simply means granting super user account functions to your phone. As for your phone eating too much data, go to your sync settings are see which applications do not need to be constantly updated.

Well not at all! Got the Laptop from Amazon for $1049, Crucial 8GB RAM upgrade kit for about $140 and the Seagate Momentus XT SSD hybrid drive for about $130. Total cost less than $1400! ;

I use a Macbook Pro 2010 with Core2Duo 2.4Ghz, 8GB RAM, 500GB (Seagate Momentus SSD Hybrid)

Yeah! Purchased quite a lot from then, even got my Macbook Pro from then. The major caveat is that they don't ship to Nigeria. . They do have some lovely discounts though.

Yes I do with GTB and it took just a couple of mins to get it open. Once you have a functioning current account with them, opening a Dorm account is a breeze.
