They didnt give a specific reason for my application, but i am certain it probably has to do with documents i provided for my sponsor, maybe they didnt find it convincing enough, my adviced will be if u are applying to cdu, ensure a close family member is sponsoring u and have adequate money in the bank statement u provide.

Thanks for the update. Yeah GTE can be frustrating, applied to CDU also and my GTE was not cleared there so I applied to James cook, but the cairns campus because of he course I want to do. September intake, with this delay I hope I will be able to meet up

I gained admission at James cook for the July session at Townsville. I applied around Feb ending and got my admission around march ending. I started my gte around late April and got it in about a week. I think the most important thing you should be worried about is the gte clearance, it can be a bit frustrating .

Is anyone going to James cook university. Please kindly state the date you applied and the time frame you got and offer and GTE was cleared. For either July or September intake

No they have not asked for any of that, i applied on the 15th, which campus did u apply for, brisbane or cairns, hopefully i am expecting the offer before this week ends.

Please, was it a direct family that you used as sponsor, or it was self sponsored and what documents did u provide and how much was the closing balance.

I got my admission within a month and my gte clearance within a week. Be prepared to provide convincing documents for financial gte assessment

Good day people. I applied to Charles Darwin but my GTE didn't go through due to some discrepancies. I'm now applying to James Cook university for September intake. Is there anyone currently at the school or applying there? How long before you were given an offer letter. And what was the process like.

What where they going for was it a masters degree or a diploma and also remember the GTE statement can make or break your visa application. Did they explained the cogent reason why they are embarking on a study route and did they explain and give good home ties

Exactly, you nailed it. Meanwhile if you put a good application and there is justification and proof for your application it shouldn't be a problem to get the visa

This is totally untrue, rejection has always been in place since the time of paper based application and not because of interview granted by someone far away in UK.
Some rejection are just because of Case officer's discretion while most are due to applicant's minor error and no justification between chosen course of study and previous degree as well as choice of institution couple with not so tight SOP.

For every one visa rejection from Nigeria, there is Tens if not hundreds of Indians visa rejection, those that means that someone also granted interview in India?

PS: Some schools do not accept applications from Indians in certain states due to high level of bogus degrees and documents.

know or heard anone that was rejected? or it is just hear say. if your GTE is genuine why would they reject anyone.

THIS IS NOT TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE. These guys are on visa refusal spree for Nigerians at the moment just for economic reasons and I think it's traceable to the interview that UK guy granted BBC. If you are yet to hear from the embassy, u have to be more prayerful and also seeking alternatives, if you are applying to AU pz don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I’m also on this boat with you. Got admitted to Charles Darwin and submitted all GTE documents as requested. I’m also waiting for a feedback. Don’t know how long it will take but let’s be hopeful. Let me know when you get a feedback.
