Nairaland / General / 3 Most Important Factors In Your Event You Have Always Ignored by DoxaDigital(m): 12:36pm On Aug 25, 2021
I bet you, you have never seen it like this before.

It will shock you to know that everything in the event world is centred around these 3 factors that you have perhaps ignored all the time.

In DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria, we have gone through the thick and the thin, we have sustained wounds that eventually turned into wisdom.

Today, we’ll love to share with you the 3 most critical parts of events management and design that you can rarely find elsewhere. In other words, this knowledge is worth more than a million dollars because it is purely from the original source and the experience is exclusively ours.

The Purpose

You have always heard this saying that goes, “if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable”. The purpose of the event is the intention, the why of the event, the goal of the event, the reason why you want to set out. Admittedly, if the purpose of any event is not thoroughly established, there are bound to be lots of mishaps. One of the worst is the waste of scarce resources, which may include money, time, network, followers etc. which is more frustrating than losing all you have invested into making the event a success.

Therefore, it is wise to always pin the purpose of the event to the top of every decision page and stage so as not to derail at any point. It is also a valuable thing to do because, at any stage, you may decide to redesign the purpose as a means of making sure that every step is realistic.

The People

It will never be out of place to say that about 80% of all decisions made in the course of designing, planning and or management of an event is based on the people. It will be absolutely insensitive to execute anything in an event without considering the people. The people, in this case, are the guest, the clients, the audience you wish to reach out to maximize profit.

Everything ranging, from messages, themes, colours, music and entertainment, speakers and even the location of the event is determined by the people.

According to top marketing websites, companies are now spending huge budgets to study who their audiences are, what they love, wear, eat, where they hang out, their hobbies, interests and even their favourite football clubs. All this information give them valuable data about their audience so that they can craft every message to fit the lifestyle of that audience, which invariably causes desirability and action.

The Place

The place is the location where the event will take place. It could be physical, hybrid or virtual. However, these are determined by several factors.

Interestingly, from our experience, we discovered lots of people lose it at this stage. The location of your event must be tied to the purpose and the people, rather than budget and any other factor. The place of the event is one of those factors that contribute to the experience you wish to share with your audiences. Why not a poolside instead of a garden, why not in a dome instead of a theatre? You must consistently research and ask these questions, to get the right options at the end of the day.

Nairaland / General / DOXA Digital’s Secret Of Creating An Event Concept by DoxaDigital(m): 12:04pm On Aug 02, 2021
Take advantage of this opportunity now, as DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria is letting the cat out of the bag by sharing events management secrets that have earned us the place as the best experienced, top event management company in Abuja and one of the best in Nigeria as a whole. Secrets are sacred to a group of people, however, when they are revealed, they are no more secrets but they become strategies.

Unbundle the idea

For us in DOXA DIGITAL, events concepts are never rocket science, rather, they are an embodiment of our creative and innovative thinking prowess. We painstakingly undergo critical thinking by x-raying critical aspects of any idea relating to result producing ends. The mantra “If it does not work on the page then it will not work on stage” keeps our momentum.
The drawing board becomes a level playing field for everyone on the team, researching more into the idea that has been laid bare on the board. We break down the idea into available pieces ever available, and then start to ask all the questions that will lead us to unmask the energy behind the people, the event and the client.
We know that ideas rule the world, so, we do not try to reinvent the wheel, we simply look at what others have done, the results and how they achieved it. This helps us to redesign a brand-new concept ready to deliver nothing but the best.

Consider the 3 Ps of the Event concept

Did you know there are 3 Ps of every event? Did you know that no events will ever be successful without the people, the place and the purpose? These 3Ps play a crucial role in shaping the concept or idea of your event. From our deep well of experience, we discovered that to achieve a groundbreaking event concept and ultimately the event itself, innovations and solutions must be driven towards reshaping the 3Ps for maximum impact.
Invariably, when you lose touch with the people (guests) of the event, you have lost about 80% chances of creating an impact. This is because it is the fulcrum on which all other factors are built. For an illustration, what sort of people are you expecting to attend the event? If this question is not answered properly, then you will not get the best location, events and program sequences to suit the people, food and other exciting fillers.

Interestingly it goes a long way to determine all others Ps such as the Purpose and the Place. The purpose is the Why the event is considered in the first place and the place is the location where you intend to make the deal happen.
Please follow us as we intend to focus strictly on the 3 Ps in our next issue.
In conclusion, no event concept is complete without a feedback tunnel. It is a pipe through which feelings, grumbling, complaints, impacts etc. are collected and not just analyzed but resynthesized for better impact on the people, place and purpose. It is a simple monitoring and evaluation tool that helps to sieve major indicators that would have been set to measure the effectiveness of any innovation efforts.
In view of this, every event designer, manager or planner or whatever name is assigned, you must see themselves as Project Managers, in the sense that on their shoulders lies the responsibility of managing available and scares, resources. This means that project management functions cannot be ignored at any point in creating the event concept. As such, you must seek to be educated in project management principles which gives access to understanding that deploying resources judiciously and effectively is an important variable to attaining success.

Nairaland / General / Add Value To Your Organizations This 1st Qtr, With This Simple, Yet Powerful Eve by DoxaDigital(m): 11:29am On Feb 01, 2021
Few organisations tend to get their compass right while others struggle all the way through the first quarter of this New Year. Although they get back their rhythm afterwards valuable time would have been lost. DOXA DIGITAL would like to share with you out of her vast experiences, incredible events that put your organisation in good light as the years begin. Consider and decide to give the following factors a try.

Awards Event

Award giving events must not necessarily be at the end of the year, it could also be organized in the first quarter of the New Year. Loyal customers, clients, staff who have worked hard, salespersons with high performance and or output are recognized and appreciated by being rewarded with monetary gifts or others.

The impact of Awards giving events can never be overemphasized; its effect can be felt all year round or for many years to come. It’s a veritable tool for motivation and recognition of hard work either by staff, clients and salespersons. It is also a good way to foster relationship bonds between stakeholders involved in the day to day business transactions, maintain a good and healthy working environment where everyone is happy to be associated with the organisation. This event gives a boost to the organisation’s operations in the first quarter, at least for a good while before other contrary factors may set in.

Re-assurance event

Have you ever thought of an event that will buy back the confidence of your clients toward you especially in times of uncertainties? This kind of event can be organized to interact and engage with a certain public to send a special message to the public, audience or customers. This event may be essentially a good way to restate commitment or create an avenue to send signals of reassurances to the people asking them to remain with them in spite of all odds. It could respond to a certain environmental factor, market impacts and so on. This event will attempt to get the minds of the people to make her products and services their first choice all the time. This event will involve activities that will appeal to the emotions of the people, influence their minds and elicit a call to action.

Organisations can also take advantage of this kind of event when they notice a drop in their sales, or when they notice customers' loyalty is tilting towards the other direction. Therefore it may be a good avenue to collect information and or reasons and tackle them by way of recommitment.

Corporate Social responsibility

According to online sources, the purpose for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not just to give back to the society; it is to provide positive social value that extends beyond philanthropic giving to the future of generations.. It is about harping on the strength of the immediate environment to make it better for habitation.  Activities such as reducing Carbon dioxide footprints, improving Labour policies, charitable giving volunteering in the community are common practice in the giving of CSR. One event that is capable of giving a high value to your organisation. It renders a sense of belonging in the mind of the community; it helps them to place a value on your service and products, it fosters cordiality and most essentially trust.  Your origination should therefore have a strategic CSR plan, define your message and involve the customer, audience or the immediate environment.

Nairaland / General / See What You May Be Missing When You Underestimate That Event by DoxaDigital(m): 1:52pm On Dec 23, 2020
These times are indeed very uncertain and uncertain time’s call for strategic and smart positioning.
Every event has the potential to turn around your image, RO or any desires under certain circumstances. As the best-experienced event management enterprise DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria would like to share with you essential nuggets that will enhance your skills and experience on organizing your next event.

It is your signature
Every event carries your signature. This is invariably saying that event carries certain identities that describe your brand. Without having a session or interview your personnel, attendees can describe precisely who you are and what you represent. This, however, calls for a deliberate packaging of all aspects of the events that showcases what you represent. Irrespective of the size of the event no aspect of the packaging should be toiled with. You may never say when that next big client may come in and be interested in networking with you. When you consistently make this a calculated character for all events, you are deliberately setting up yourself for the real deal.

Your competence speaks

It was Jaggi Vasudev that said that “if you want to be successful, don’t seek success, seek competence, empowerment, do nothing short of the best that you can do”. In the events industry, competence guarantees a consistent flow of business, or simply put, you will be in high demand. Competence makes you different from the pack, no matter how popular the other may be, your competence is the value that will pay off. Once your clients know that they can trust you to deliver on that project, they do not mind paying what you are worth.
So, one of the ways to show off your competence is to create an event that will expose your prowess to the world. People are looking for solutions from competence sources, people who know what they are doing.

Multiplying effect
You can never say completely who’s at your event at a certain time. The world now works as a web. So, there are very high possibilities that just one’s person’s word of mouth referral to another could earn you that multiplier effect and you may never see the end of that single transaction. That one audience or guest who enjoys a favourable experience would like it replicated in his or her instance, say maybe his or her birthday party, anniversary and so on.
How about an organisation inviting you to come and replicate the same exploit at their conference, seminar or workshop? Interestingly, your next client may come from that event and that may be the only opportunity to make a lasting impression on the minds of many of your prospects.
As the best-experienced event management Enterprise Company and the Top events managers in the FCT Abuja, we have just shared some very critical tips from our wealth of experience; please feel free to contact us for more guidance and enquiries

Nairaland / General / Where Is Your Brand? by DoxaDigital(m): 5:17pm On Nov 09, 2020
Without trying to sound sarcastic, where is your brand in the marketplace? Or, amongst those of your competitors? The position of your brand presently may be proportional to the efforts you have given to sustain its presence wherever it is. However, for many who have put in so much effort and still do not get the desired result, it is not time to give up just yet.

Whatever the case may be the ability of your brand to sustain its relevance (promise) and market position in the market place even in the midst of stiff competitors is the power of your brand. Interestingly, this may be true without the confirmation by the audience; specifically speaking, A brand is actually confirmed by the audience and or customers. Your position therefore is determined by the audiences’ emotional attachment to your brand. This is a result of the messages and other confirmation they draw from your brand, what you actually portray your brand to look like.

Therefore, it is important that your brand is not just seen and heard but known for something. That thing is what makes your brand. In other words, there is nothing called ‘BRAND’ without what you are known for. What this means is that your brand goes beyond your logo, trademark or any magnificent graphical illustration presented to sway your audience. It is a sum total of values, physical and emotional representation that is fully recognized by your audience. Whatever efforts you put into your brand will move it either forward or backwards, so care must be taken to know what exactly you want.

Audience must See and hear the right messages
More importantly, it does take consistent and persistent numbers of seconds, minutes, days, years and even decades to build and sustain a brand, it does not just come easy. The watchword is ‘focus’, just as the saying goes “The eyes that look are many, but the eyes that see are few”. Your audience has to see and hear the right things about you, they have to see and hear what you want to be known for. This time, you are to take the tactics and techniques of communicating these values seriously. Don’t you wonder why major brands in the world associate themselves with football? Football is one sport in the world that soaks emotions and exudes them when they are mature even though some people go home sad and some go happy. You need to discover the soft spot of your audiences so as to emotionally connect to them with your product acting as the driver of the messages.
If you joke with your competitors’ position right now, don’t joke with the market leaders because it tells you where you are and where you ought to be in the marketplace. But, that is only if you got the eyes and the mind to see. It was once said by an inspirational speaker that we see with the mind and not the eye. Pictures of where you want to be are first created in the subconscious-the mind before they are manifested into the realm of the physical. Model your brand towards a greater one and keep your focus there until there is an appearance of what you have dreamed about.

This is where your brand is right now
Once again, where is your brand? The position of your brand today is not a mystery, I bet you. It is not far from you either. It is simply in the minds of that audience or customer where your messages are always domiciled. To actualize this, get five or more of these customers and ask pertinent questions without sentiments and bias and then you are on the way to knowing where you recede in the market place. Contact an expert with vast knowledge, so as to facilitate this exercise for a clean and actual result.

Partnerships that work
At this level respect partnership, the partners that will help move your brand from the place of being relevant to be essential, a level where people subscribe to your brand as a point of necessity for them at all times. In this present world of globalization, you cannot walk alone. Choose the partners that will help you actualize your values, dreams and aspirations. Those you will decide to ride with should possess certain qualities such as trust, accountability, ability to communicate correctly and many more. One of the major advantages of choosing the right partner is that your brand climbs the ladder faster as long as the right paths are traded.

Nairaland / General / Deciding On Your Next Move Post COVID-19 by DoxaDigital(m): 12:32pm On Sep 28, 2020
Just Do It.

Perhaps the NIKE Company saw into the future when they conceptualized the payoff ‘Just Do It’ because when aligned with the fact that these times need drastic action, the byline becomes a catalyst.

Expectedly, to prevent extinction governments, organisations, enterprises and individuals have decided to live with the fate of the COVID-19 and have started devising ingenious ways to revamping their economies and likelihood in general. However, it is wise and expedient to consider the following factors below in order to be well prepared to wade through the daunting waters, which the times have presented.

Capacity

The ability of a vessel to contain and retain a substance without causing any further threat is of great worth. It is what makes the vessel relevant and useful at that time; it is also what determines how much worth will be accorded to the vessel. It is time for your organisation to do an inner retrospect, to see and know the state of your preparedness for the new challenges. Life is no longer what it used to be, everything has changed, and so, the interaction, as well as the communication approach for your audience and environment, will have to differ distinctively. No doubt, in these times, your capacity will be stretched further.  However, you can only give what you have; hence capacity building is, therefore, a major criterion to meeting up with the demand of the times.

Capacity, when achieved, helps to build trust. Trust is an essential trait or virtue all business-minded entities must possess. People will trust you more when they discover you have the capacity to bear their risk. Leanness and scarcity of cash have made people especially investors think four times and not twice as it used to be before they put their money where their mouth is.

DOXA DIGITAL has got capacity and has waded through these times.

Network

The surest way to go in these times is your network.

As a child, the Spider-Man cartoon series was one of my favourites. In the series, the Spider-Man is a super being that uses his supernatural powers to fight evil in the society. But most interestingly, was how he moved, how his movement was facilitated with his web mechanism; he would spread it so wide and then progress on it to the next destination. As fast as he was, he could not go anywhere without his web. The web which he produced was his network and his defence.  In these interesting times, your network will be your surest and fastest way to regaining your stamina. As an organisation, individual or enterprise your network is your audience, your environment, your customers, even your competitors. It’s now time to develop and water a more robust relationship or else face extinction.

As  the Top Events Manager  and an events enterprise we have the need network to make our clients seen and heard

Resources/ Skills

What have you got to offer?

Although the pandemic ravaged many communities around the world, it did not eliminate the fact that the world is a marketplace where an exchange is fundamental; you must exchange one thing to get another. For instance, we exchange carbon dioxide to get Oxygen; people exchange goods for money and money for goods.

As the tide becomes more severe and the competition for relevance becomes tighter you need to constantly ask yourself, what have I/we got to offer in exchange for what I am looking for as an organisation, individual and enterprise? Without being told, the exchange space is now becoming tight; you need to have what the people are looking for, for you to stay alive. Once you’ve discovered what they want and you are able to get it for them as when they need it, your existence and relevance become sure.

in DOXA DIGITAL  our experience has afforded us an edge over and above others. We remain the best-experienced Events Management Enterprise

Just Do It.

Nairaland / General / See The Best Thing That Can Happen To Your Organization Today by DoxaDigital(m): 1:28pm On Jul 22, 2020
Image is everything.

Some have said that the emergence of COVID -19, pandemic in the world is a blessing in disguise. While it has brought the meltdown of businesses and the world economy, it also made many people rich, and also widened the bottom line of many organizations. How about you?
More interestingly, business and all its concerns have moved up to an environment that was hitherto neglected or simply put underrated by so many organizations. Online presence was thought to be for the well to do organizations. That is, organizations that could afford the meals and means of online advertisement or for those who want to flaunt their wings. However, the tide has turned. If your business is not online then you will lose your relevance, credibility and even your customers to smaller organizations that get their axe right with an excellent online image branding and packaging. Specifically, the case of social distancing and every other regulation limiting movement and face to face contact has made many businesses find a soft landing or better put, another way of meeting their customers.
Consequently, there is an upsurge of many businesses online, creating an environment of what seems to be survival of the fittest online. This also means that organizations are not just online to keep customers but also there to remain relevant and to survive. This may not end soon when you consider that according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), these businesses which are non-oil sector businesses contribute about 80 to 91 percent of the GDP in the country and these businesses are competing for relevance especially online. It may also interest you to know that the internet has helped to create a community that offers a huge advantage when harvested well. In other words, it is connecting the world to a single point with people of different shapes and sizes, colours, tongues and tribes and business proposals meet, it is a big community of interest. According to internetworldstats.com about 58 % of the world population is internet users, Imagine what your organisation stands to gain if just a few percentages of these are in your radar.

What does this mean?

According to an online publication from biblio.ugent.be, it describes organizational image as the people’s global impression of an organization and it is defined as the people’s loose structures of knowledge and beliefs about an organization, in other words, it represents the net cognitive reactions and associations of customers, investors, employees and applicants to an organizational name.
Your organization’s image online is worth more than a million dollars right now. If your organization wants to remain with the rest of the pack, it is best NOT to do anything to your image. But, if you want your brand to come out of the pack and become unique, relevant without trying to merely survive, it is EXPEDIENT to make your image a priority much more than any other profit, because it is what will sustain you after all. When your customers discover that your brand is true to its words, they will stick to you, like a spider to its web. What the persona online is looking for is EXPERIENCE that is unique and different from the normal.
Amazingly, the tools and techniques to make this happen are just what you are familiar with, but you probably have never considered it very useful. However, the first step to go is to do an image audit to know what people think about your organization currently online. This will help you to understand where you are and how you are doing presently online.

The most important collateral

Did you know that the most important collateral available to your organization online is your image? One of the major reasons why your online image matters is because trust is built with time when your image delivers favourably. Trust is probably the only thing a customer needs to be convinced to be loyal to your band. So, to keep your image tightly protected is to sustain the trust that your audience or your customer has for you.
According to AESPIRE.COM trust is the most important business and brand asset you manage, especially in relationships with customers, clients, employees and stakeholders. “Your brand must work to earn trust. Every interaction is an opportunity to build relationships and nature trust”. For instance, the image of an online shopping organization is in the balance today because people do not trust them anymore. There have been complaints that when you order an item you viewed and liked on their website, it’s another different thing altogether, on arrival.
Therefore, it is worthy to note that it is very expensive to buy back trust; you may need to spend much more than what you had spent marketing your brand. Consequently, your image is in doubt, because you are not delivering on your promises. Do everything to keep your image on track.

Nairaland / General / 7 Realities You Need To Know That Will Change In The Events Industry by DoxaDigital(m): 4:05pm On May 12, 2020
Nonetheless, as some economies begin to open up gradually and some countries relax their various stay at home curfew, the way of doing business will never remain the same again; this includes the events management industry in Nigeria West Africa.

Remarkably, the events industry can no more be underrated, as it may be contributing about a 150 billion naira (not yet confirmed) to the gross Domestic Product of Nigeria (GDP). Most importantly, is the rapid development of certain small and medium scale businesses (SMEs) in its value chain; such as the food and beverages, makeup, events planning/ management, photography, videography, Disk Jockey (DJ), equipment rental and logistics etc. What this means is that it will not be business as usual.

The major shifts in the industry may be experienced in the following areas and may be worthy of note to all stakeholders in the industry. Secondly, it is a call to action to think out of the box.

Hybrid Events

Hybrid events can be described as an event that involves the use of two venues, one is online and the other is real-time. According to angage.com, it is an event that takes place in a physical venue, while also being attended by a live and interactive audience online.

Without any doubts, this will be on the increase, especially for local and international events of high calibre. Amid lean resources, and restriction of movement to the domain of abode, this may be potent until there is an absolute clearance of the COVID-19 in the world. Furthermore, people will buy into it easily because it is embedded with some advantages such as more attendance, the less financial burden of renting bigger halls etc. In slight of this, stakeholders that may be affected should begin to create innovative ways to remain relevant.

Venue consideration

After now, the choice of venue for major events will top the priority table more than ever before. Event’s organisers will; now have to redesign all other protocols to suit the demand of the times. Social distancing will now dictate, the choice of venues. So organisers will have to determine if audiences will reduce or increase thus determining the size of the event venue.

Organisers will now be looking out for venues that offer, much more than just hosting meetings, they will be looking out for venues with the best hygienic conditions and facilities recommended for the prevention of the spread of disease.

Venue owners and managers who want to remain in the business must seek resourceful ways of recreating an experience that resonates with the realities of the times.

Safety standards

Before now, observing safety standards during events in Nigeria have not been enshrined and or embraced by many. Only a few top events companies that deal with international clients who demand safety and risk assessment, keep safety standards as a priority.

However, there may be an increase in the demand for safety standards certification for the events industry. Stakeholders may be required to prove that they are capable of hosting and or managing certain events without an outbreak or negative experience. Therefore stakeholders may need to seek the involvement of Insurance companies and or health professionals to be on the top of their game.

Online registration.

Although this has been the usual practise, however, it may become a major aspect of conferences and meetings registration by overriding the on-site registration. Participants may have to just register online in a portal and or event website made available by organisers or not be accredited. It may be a major form of security check and crowd control. Event managers who are into online ticketing now have the opportunity to hop on this to provide these services for organisers.

Already, events’ mobile apps are evolving and may begin to dictate certain terms as regards the digitisation of events in totality.

Events Marketing

A little while after the advent of the digital marketing space, event marketing has steadily metamorphosed, embracing digital tools, while also not neglecting the traditional tools; consequently, there has been a cordial combination of both to yield expected results.

Whatever the case may be, things are about to change. Organisers and event marketing agents may now have to think of more digitally inclined strategies to deploy to create a meeting point between brands and the audiences and or customers in another location other than the usual face to face meetings. Whether we like or not, the era of face to face is no more the rule of the game.

Events management/planning and tools

This aspect of the events industry used to be reserved for people with experience and resourcefulness. Unfortunately, it is becoming a matter of ‘man knows man’. The fact that a person can arrange banquet tables, decorate and tidy up glasses may not qualify him or her as an events manager and or planner. Anyway, the tide has changed, as event managers will be expected to prove their mettle.. To stay relevant, they will be expected to bring to the fore, more than ever, their project management capabilities in written and in practice, as well as their expertise and creativity. These times will require flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to the realities. Those who may be considered, are those who will combine flexibility and creativity to achieve results within the shortest possible time.

Interestingly also, are the evolving event management tools that many have never believed in. It may now become imperative, as the realities of digitisation are now dawning on the industry in Nigeria. Hence, possessing and mastering it may now become more strategic to remaining relevant in the game

Event sitting arrangement/ food service

The demand for social distancing is real and becoming tough by the day. The World Health Organisation (WHO), has recommended social distancing as a veritable measure for preventing the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus. In many countries, citizens are penalised if they are found flouting the policy. Given this development, sitting arrangements during events must change to reflect adherence to these policies. Irrespective of whatever table setting style that will be adopted, social distancing must be obeyed. This may remain for a long time to come until the virus is laid to rest world over.

Furthermore, there are hardly any events without a form of refreshment, tea break, food break or whatever it is called. In Nigeria especially, food services form an integral part of our social events. The Nigerian Jollof rice, Ofada rice and so on are amongst the many delicacies readily available on the menu of the day. However, we may begin to see demand for changes in the way these delicacies are presented and served during events to meet up with hygienic conditions that will also be paramount than ever.

Food vendors must now put on their thinking caps and create ways of better presenting and serving food in the most hygienic conditions.

Nairaland / General / Experience Breakthrough In Your Events With Zinger Atmospheres (part 1) by DoxaDigital(m): 10:46am On Feb 20, 2020
This is how it happens,

Whenever you enter a dark room how do you feel? or what would be the thoughts on your mind? Did you know that the thoughts on your mind will ultimately dictate your physical actions there and then? Why do you switch off the lights in your bedroom and perhaps leave only the bed lamps on when it’s bedtime?

The atmosphere at your event can be described as the sum total of the predominant mood or tone as well as the situation or the creative works employed in the event arena.

Atmospheres at events are one of the most crucial factors never to be overlooked. It is like a weather condition that determines several other factors either related or unrelated to it. Have you ever decided to enter the rain without an umbrella? Well, the result is what you decided to have.

What makes it Zinger?

Zinger atmospheres must be deliberately created or simply put; purposefully crafted. All you intend to deliver to your audience has to be put in the atmosphere. Your audiences and or guest are not machines that respond to programmes rather they are humans wired to feel, see, think and taste in some ways. These are main ways by which they relate with their environment including your event.

Several points are to be taken seriously when approaching an event with a zinger atmosphere.. See them below.

Have you taken the first step?

First thing first. Not until you have set an objective or a benchmark for the events, you have not taken the right first steps before others details follow. Your objective has to be realistic and measurable and not out of the blues. But the one from the real world, considering what is workable with the people. Set the right targets, so you don’t end up chasing shadows.

Who is your guest?

Any attempt to ignore the minutest details of your guest is a deliberate step towards planning to fail. A lot of times, event planners fill up the whole location with the details that have no affinity with the expected guest. Get all the information you need to get about your guest, they are the ones who will mark your exam scripts and score you. They are a major group to consider when determining the atmosphere for the event because the details from their study will help to form bits and pieces of the atmosphere. Create a persona if you can, personas are a fictitious personality that carries a unique gene of the audience you are communicating with.

Have you chosen a sequence?

Event sequencing is a topic for another day, but let’s take a shallow dive into it. Just as the atmosphere for an event is to be created deliberately, the activities that make up the whole event must also be deliberately crafted. Executing the right activity at the right time during the event in order to achieve better engagement and better-staying power of the guest is what we can describe as an event sequence. It is like a dating class, you should know when to ask the lady for her phone number etc. so you don’t blow up the chances of getting a date.

A winning event sequence is the one that will allow your guest to engage with you, network with others and enable you to achieve the objectives you had set out in the first place.

Am I ready to bear the risk?

Nothing good comes easy and cheap, zinger atmospheres doesn’t come easy either. Before you start off with activities for the zinger atmosphere, sit down and count the cost, measure the risk. Interestingly, in some cases, it may really not require so much money, but may really need much time and some tasking creative deep thinking. In whatever case, you must be ready to give it all it takes. Make up a team of creative minds who are willing to buy into the theme. You may also decide to outsource this particular area to a competent vendor, with good track records and experience. Ensure that the vendor is able to interpret the theme appropriately and elaborately.

This is why DOXA DIGITAL NIG is the most preferred event management enterprise. in Abuja.

Nairaland / General / The 2020 Rule Of Events Management According To DOXA DIGITAL NIGERIA by DoxaDigital(m): 2:40pm On Jan 17, 2020
The 2020 rule of event management is simple but critical tips you need to consider before setting out to organising an event or as an event planner. The following may just be the needed catalyst you need to plot out the right foundation for the best year you have ever had.

Focus
A five-letter word that distinguishes the eagle from all other birds even of equal size is focus. To focus is to keep the eyes on a given goal or object no matter the amount of distractions that may arise. So it’s not just enough for an organisation to draw up beautiful and amiable goals and objectives, it is absolutely essential for them to draw up measures also that will compel them to keep the focus fixed.
Event planners or managers may need to re-focus in this year 2020, bearing in mind that what worked last year may not just be it this year. Re-focusing may mean to readjust the goals, objectives and ways of doing business to meet up with the winning strides. For instance the world started with 1G technology but now are talking of 9G technology transformations. So business transactions are moving with the speed of light, beating boundaries and locations are no more barriers to making things happen. The secret of success in 2020 may just be focus, focus and keep focusing, till you cannot get the goal out of your sight.

Show uniqueness
Did you know that no two leopards have the same kind of spot pattern? Every one leopard is unique in nature. So also are identical twins, they may be very identical but each of them has unique characters. Strive for uniqueness, in all that you do in 2020. Your organisation will only stand out when people can identify it as different from others not by your logos and colours but by the way you do things.
One thing that “works like mad” is to be known for ONE THING and not everything. There is a saying that goes, stand for something or be known for everything. As top event managers, we have discovered that most of the offers we got came from the fact that we have very strong strength in the area of creativity. People will locate you for your strength even when you do not look your best.

Create experience at every contact
Your audience will always come back to you because of the pleasurable experience they had. The keyword for event is experience. That is why as the best-experienced event enterprise in Abuja, we endeavour to create a pleasurable, unforgettable picture in the minds of our client. We know that this is important because it will speak for us even when we are no physically present. Make it your goal in this year 2020 to always leave an indelible impression at every opportunity to serve your client.
To achieve this is to know your audience and their uniqueness, know what is important to them, know what appeals to them and specifically speaking their behaviours. This will help you to design what works and resonates with them.

Give back to humanity and the environment
In all our successes, achievement and failures the environment is amongst the biggest contributors and perhaps at the receiving end also. Today, climate change is a plague common to all humanity, because everyone is affected. The issues of climate change should, therefore, be the burden of everyone, hence we should do all we can to bring it to a bearable limit. Obey all environmental laws, follow safety procedures and do green.
There are many people out there who are depressed, rejected, dejected vulnerable, poor and needy in the environment where we operate. Posterity will look out for and reward those organisations and individuals who set aside little in order to help put smiles on the faces of the hopeless. It will go into the records that in 2020 hope was restored to certain lives because you indulged rightly.

Nairaland / General / Factors To Consider Before Choosing Your Best Printing Company by DoxaDigital(m): 3:22pm On Oct 08, 2019
Choosing a printing partner and or agency may seem an arduous task when the right factors are not considered. The task is a necessary hurdle for every serious-minded organisation who want to ensure that their identity is not misrepresented to its audience.

However, there are many printing companies out there, but few are the ones that will position your organisation’s image strategically in the market place. It is therefore pertinent to consider carefully these uncommon factors enumerated herein in choosing your best printing partner or agency.

Master all the basic printing information

There are certain information that your organisation and or the officer in charge of the printing should be armed with. Most times, this information would have been garnered over time especially through experience. It will also help you to evaluate the outcome of any project that would have been sent to the press. Details such as type of materials needed to be used for the project; which may include the weight of paper, type of paper, size of the final product, type of impression to be used, finishing etc. are among may other essential information.

However, it is advisable to re-confirm this information with an experienced agent in order to be in sync with the realities of times. Once you are armed with these info, you are in good stead to negotiate good quality as well as escape the various antics of some selfish agent.

Choose experience

Nature has taught us to accept the fact that experience can never be purchased from the air, it has to be earned. If you think experience is expensive, try the opposite. Always put this first before choosing that printer company. There is always a place for various levels of printing agencies, but don’t settle for less. Experience reduces the loss of resources especially those that are scarce, such as time, money and materials. From our experience, organisations have had to bring back projects that were initially awarded to another less or not experienced agent, spending twice their budget. Experienced agencies have the needed technical expertise (machines and personnel) needed to turn out the right products.

Flexibility is key

This is an important factor that many often overlook and treat as trivial. Flexibility is a critical virtue you should look out for in choosing your printing agency. Flexibility is the character that reflects that the company is willing to forego a certain kind of gain in order to achieve a compromise and consequently loyalty from their clients. Policies must not be cast on stone, rather they should be made to enhance a cordial relationship between the organisation, the printing company and any other client. Flexibility, allows your organisation to know if the printing agency has developed enough muscle to receive shocks and stress from an external force and remains stable. Please do not overlook this.

Visit that location

For you to trust any agency, pay a visit or do a courtesy call or simply request for a facility tour. Establish a prequisite for adopting any printing agency. This should be done by your top management, focusing first on the interest and objectives of your organisation. It is unwise to think that a well-designed website only is enough to grant that agency that trust. Ensure that they are located in a well accessible (easy to get) area, whether rented or cooperate property. Look out for security efforts and apparatus made available by the agency. Ensure that there are no legal issues or court actions against the entity or against the land on which it is located on. It could be a mojor set back.

The risk factor

Life is a stage decorated with risk. It has become a discipline that has developed over the years, thus initiating global standard practise. It is will be absolute negligence on the side of your organisation or the printing agency to think that there are no risk involved in executing a printing project. Either side should, therefore, take a look by identifying the risk that could evolve in the course of the project and the ways to track and tackle it when it arises. What if the machines breaks down in the course of executing the project? Which is also racing against time. Does the printing agency have the ability and the resources to manage any given risk, should it arise? As you attempt to resolve these queries, it will be more glaring, if you really need to get that printing company.

Nairaland / General / How Your Organisation Can Make The Best Out Of Its Prints According To DOXA by DoxaDigital(m): 12:08pm On Sep 16, 2019
Making the best out of your printings simply refers to all the efforts your organisation should put into delivering your brand’s identity into the minds of your audience through the hallway of the printing process.

Undoubtedly, the target of all printings is to derive a positive response from the person seeing the different impressions on paper or other materials. This is because the mind reads through the eyes and then the brain adds up the calculations and sieves out what appeals to it. Therefore, printings take the centre stage for all those who want to make their brands dwell in the minds of their audience.

At what point does actual printing commence

Printing commences at the point of setting objectives for all printings that must hit the press. Organisations should, therefore, set up some sort of a tag team made up people with good creative acumen to drive this course. They should determine amongst others, the image they want the audience to see, know and feel, at all times. Furthermore, colours that depict the interest of the organisations that may be probably interpreted by the audience. This is to create a connecting point between your organisation and the audience. Although this could take some times of consistent researches, it is worth investing.

Initiating and interpreting designs

This is a critical part in the hallway of printing all organisations should take seriously. Designs are simply a figure on paper or any other material what the mind has already received and conceived. Precisely, it is not just what we see on paper, it is what has been consistently seen in the inward. At this point, organisations should pay attention to some factors. The objectives of organisations printings as said earlier, the realities of time, the audiences and then budget. Like phototropism, the audience reacts to what shows affinity with them, no matter how long it takes, as long as they are being fed consistently by the same pictures. The realities of the times of printings are also worth knowing, which should also reflect in the printings directly or indirectly. This is to foster acceptance, or else that effort will be tagged old school. This is permissible if and only if the objective of the printing is to depict the old school itself.

Your audiences will also determine the nature of your printing. For instance, if you wish to capture the attention of children who are your audience, won’t you rather put your designs into comic nature, with corresponding cartoon characters and colours. This is no rocket science, it is the same techniques that work for all other audience segments.

Choosing your Printer or Printing Agency

This is the beginning of the other half in the hallway of printing. It also goes a long way of determining the final emergence of all said and done, in terms of quality security, cost and or budget, time of delivery and rapid response to changes and edits. Choosing the best agency to bring out the best of what you have, must be devoid of sentiments and parochial interest.

Organisations often miss it at this point, because of the above. However, to prevent this from happening, the organisation must determine to get quality for the best cost available with the time of delivery, security and flexibility. How about risk-bearing and legal implications if it arises? Choose vendors and agents that will be able to interpret or amplify your thoughts and design with little or no supervisions, organisations who are not willing to share your privacy settings with other clients. The secret of delivering the final copy is the hands of your printers choose wisely.

One more thing, take a tour of the facility of your printer or agent Look out for their strengths and weakness, machines, technical tact, organisation, overall environmental friendliness. Let their locations and their layout speak to your decisions etc. Ask pertinent questions and find common grounds.

Nairaland / General / 3 Events Your Organization Should Think About Now by DoxaDigital(m): 3:03pm On Sep 02, 2019
In the face of globalization, the world cannot deny, no organization can exist in isolation no matter its nature, size or structure. To make impact or profit as the case may be, its doors have to be opened to some sort of mutually beneficial interaction and communication with its external environment. However, events are a sure way to achieving many objectives, amongst some infamous ones are selling your organization’s brand, identifying your targeted audiences, endearing your audiences to behave in a certain manner towards a campaign, etc. Workshops, seminars, conferences, dinner or breakfast meetings, and TED talks are the major events your organizations could take advantage of in meeting up a designed aim.

Find below, 3 categories of events your organization should consider now or in the nearest future.

Category one

The events in this category are events that seek to educate and enlighten people on what you represent, your value and your brand, this is what makes you different from the rest. No matter the quality of service or product you expose to people out there, your identity makes a huge meaning. When people are unable to associate a winning brand to the right face, that organization may just be losing great resources and may be at risk of misplaced identity. People will be in doubt of who to place the right affection on. With this kind of events, your organization stands a maxi chance of stamping your identity on the minds of your audience thereby winning their empathy, establishing the promise you make through your brand becomes an easy ride. The information available to the outside world is what you are. So, own your world by creating the narrative of what the people need to know about you.

Category two

The events under this category should be the one that will take care of your product and service campaigns. Campaign means different thing to different organizations. However, product or services activations, product launch, ground-breaking ceremonies, roadshows, TED talks are a few examples worth looking at. With these events, you are seeking to create an impact through one of your products or services. Furthermore, you are seeking to make your audience behave in a specific way towards that product or service. It is also worthy to note that campaigns are time-bound and you should be careful in choosing the exact type of events that will help to drive home the objectives within the time set.

Non-governmental organizations who seek to change the behavioural patterns of a specific kind of people in a set geographical area can use events in this category to drive home their points. Although for them, communication tools could be allocated differently but objective could be the same.

Category three

The third category specifically looks at an event that helps to manage your organisation’s Public Relations (PR), redeem or buy back your image, realign public perception to favour them, re-market a de-marketed image etc.

No doubts many organisations are struggling to get back into the good books of their once called loyal audiences. Well, it is not too late to start working at getting back what belongs to them. Although it could take quite a tough time, it is still possible to regain lost ground; with sincerity, determination, and consistency it is a work done.

Events in this category must be targeted to the audiences concerned and must be well crafted to prevent another round of resentment.

Nairaland / General / How We Made The 2019 UBA Market Place Event A Success by DoxaDigital(m): 9:57am On Jul 31, 2019
Abuja’s best-experienced event enterprise was at it again, when our organization was chosen to grace Africa’s largest entrepreneurship fair tagged the UBA Market Place 2019 in Abuja.

Recognized as Abuja’s best technically experienced event partner, we were offered a mandate to provide over a hundred exhibition stalls also known as exhibition booths, fitted with transparent or better still see through dividers and other accessories. These stalls were a critical component of the fair.

This made us the first Abuja based event enterprise in history to provide such event tools to an esteemed client such as the largest Pan African Bank (UBA) in Abuja.

We successfully installed all the booths as the owners came forward to claim their spaces in good time.

The UBA Market place went on side by side with the Tony Elemelu Foundation lecture, a movement with a ‘never die’ passion for entrepreneurs in Africa. It is been described by an online source as the largest entrepreneurship ecosystem in Africa. Thousands of entrepreneurs all over Africa were present and were thrilled by the well-packaged event activities.

Nairaland / General / The 3 Most Important Things In Your Event by DoxaDigital(m): 6:53pm On Jun 26, 2019
Many events have become bland and or fruitless because the most important vibes were missing or ignorance did play a fast one. Events all around the world are hinged on many factors; however, the most important factors are to be isolated and prioritized. These are a must do or else the right objectives will not be derived. More so, these factors form the wheels on which the events are driven to their destination. Find hereafter the most important things you must consider in your event.

1 The Audience
When planning events for your organization, do you really consider your audience as important as the life of that event? In events, the audience or call it guest, is a goldmine. Every brand, no matter the nature, has a determined amount of followers or audience that has decided to stay in loyalty behind such brand. But this does not stop the brand from going for prospective audiences. Interestingly, brands are so-called by the loyalty they enjoy from a particular audience. What this means is that no product or service will become a brand without the endorsement of an audience. This exposes the fact that the audience has a voice that must be taken seriously. A mantra goes thus, 'the customer is king', which also depicts that the customer dictates the tune. If this is the case, most decisions in an organization must put into consideration all conditions that will make the audiences happy.
However, the case is no difference in your event, as that event may never be successful without the audience.

2. The Audience
In events marketing, practitioners have discovered that amongst other items, the audiences is the must watch. Without putting aside traditional forms of marketing, modern marketing procedures now places greater priority on the audience, market or customer. Brands are now allocating bulk of their resources (both cash and non-cash) to discovering the other sides of their audiences. Focus used to be placed on audiences demographics only.
Today, audiences’ psychographics are top on marketing research agendas, brands are digging deep into how, when, why and what their audiences are thinking, watching, listening to per time. They are constantly finding out what makes audiences behave the way they do towards a brand or even towards a competitor’s brand. All these are an attempt to capture the totality of the audience. Therefore you should begin to think the same just before you organize that event.

3. The audience
The venue could be fantastic and glamorous, with the state of the art facilities, the influencers or celebrities could be the best that the world can offer, the ambiance and the lighting effects are second to none and so on, and then there are no audiences to give meaning to these items, Would you say that the events have met its objectives?
For instance, a music concert was organized and then A-List music artists were invited. Huge resources had gone into getting the venue somewhere in Abuja, the technical aspect was ready, the stage, lighting, sound, mega screens, etc. And then on the day of the concert about 20% of the audience just showed up. Furthermore, one of the artists that were invited with full compliments paid to decide not to go on stage because for him, it was a waste of time and energy performing for a tiny audience that would make no difference from performing to an empty crowd. At the end of the day, it was a huge loss.
This is how far your audience can go in making things happen for you. Event planners often neglect them and concentrate on other less important items.

Nairaland / General / The Secrets Of Our Success As Top Events Manager by DoxaDigital(m): 11:35am On May 27, 2019
Not many people can expose the secrets of what makes them successful and who they are, especially in the events industry that we are. But for us in DOXA DIGITAL we are bridge builders, while others would rather hide their secrets, we would share ours for others to learn and avoid those bubby traps along the way to being top event managers.

So, find below about 5 secrets responsible for making us the Top Events Manager in Abuja and beyond

Experience

Have you seen our scorecard? powering over 100,000 events, in about 800 destinations all over Nigeria, Liberia and Ghana. We have waded through many waters, troubled and calm, crossed many bridges, gone through the thick and thins. Consequently, it has made us develop ingenious ways of troubleshooting and solving event crisis, creating cutting edge events sequences that deliver total event solutions to all our clients. Experience is not gathered elsewhere unless going through it in reality. Upcoming event managers must not joke with any opportunity to manage or provide any services for any event. It is an experience worth gaining, it builds your confidence quotient and increases the ability to manage crisis whenever it arises. The secret in this is that it will help you to form a template over time for any type of event. You will become a master to all events because there is actually nothing new under the sun. Your responsibility now will be to present your ideas in more innovative ways.

Goodwill

Everything in life is not all about money, more especially in the business world. Do you know that Goodwill may fetch you money but money may not get you goodwill? Goodwill in business is a valuable asset every business entity should have. Many clients may not remember you for the less money you charge them or for the discount you gave, but many may remember you for your goodwill.

The secret is that goodwill appeals a lot on the emotions of people than money. It will keep events coming, no matter how small it is. The quickest way to getting goodwill is to be ready at all times to go above the normal. It entails going an extra mile to providing all deliverables, being prepared to bend all backwards to meet up with client’s request even at odd times. As you endeavour in your quest to becoming sought-after in the events industry, strive also for goodwill.

Investing in Human Capital

This is rather an unusual factor many event managers never believe in. It is our true confession here that the major secret to our huge success in the event industry is in investing in human capital development. We dedicate some chunk of our resources to training our team both in house and Ad hoc. This is because we believe that institutions are built by human and not machines, ideas are brought to reality by people and not machines. Interestingly we are not scared of the fact that these ones could leave the organization one day, but one thing that makes us confident is that we have our signature all around. Consequently, today in Abuja, most of the event companies are owned by one or two of guys we have trained or that have been with us in DOXA DIGITAL. This makes us proud and fulfilled. The secret of investing in people is that you are creating a greater tomorrow for firstly yourself and then for the generation next. Secondly, providence will reward you for the great work of contributing to people power.

Motivation and Teamwork

Motivation is not always about giving out money to beneficiaries, to DOXA DIGITAL it is about creating a favourable working atmosphere for your employees to work in. It could be just empathizing with one person at the time of need, helping your employees realize their potentials, rewarding excellence and hard work and many more. Motivation is key in the event industry. When employees work with a divided heart, it will result in shabby workflows and there will be the absence of teamwork. As leading event managers, motivation is our secret to sustaining teamwork which yields better idea implementation and solutions delivery. However, we do our best to train the minds of our employees to make them understand that without teamwork there will be no need to move our team to any location because it will amount to disgrace. We take our cue from the ant’s kingdom. Nothing is too heavy for a group of ants to move. A crumb of bread may not be too heavy for one ant to carry, but they recognize the power of teamwork, so they immediately mobilize each other and in a matter of minutes, the crumb of bread is moved their desired destination.

Flexibility and Budget sensitive

Anything cast on stone cannot bond with the reality of times, so will make the stakeholder miss out from the real deal. As top event manager in Abuja, we decided to develop a policy of flexibility to our clients either from the budget angle or technically. We make sure the heartbeat of our client is felt and we understand the financial standing at that moment. Everything is not about money; hence we crave for relationship first before placing any monetary value. The secret of our success also lies in keeping a relationship first before the money. This helps to keep us at top priority flight all the time the minds of people. Many, especially in the industry always refer to us as being very expensive, because of our clientele levels. But they are unaware that we service some of these clients on very low budget bases because of the relationship we have kept over the years. Some are on pro-bono while some are on support bases. The secret is that keep relationship as first and then put money second.

Nairaland / General / The Event: 2019 Congress Luncheon With Pastor E.A Adeboye (daddy G.O) In Abuja by DoxaDigital(m): 10:33am On May 20, 2019
Fascinatingly, this is an unbroken record; the largest single gathering of believers in the whole world is the annual Holy Ghost Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).  It is an event that comes up in August each year.  Over 3.5 million people from around the world gather in a single location to witness a week of activity packed event including the harvest of souls. It also marks the beginning of the new calendar year for the church.

Why the Luncheon with Daddy G.O

Many have come to criticize the rationale behind raising funds for this event hosted by the G.O of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). While responding, the G.O expressed his concern and opined the fact that nothing can be more important than the work of God. It may interest you to know that during this event millions of people are fed with two meals a day amid some others such as close to free medical services especially at the maternity centre were several babies are born etc. More so, water, power and other amenities are self-generated. All these and more cost so much money, so it will take the grace of God and the donation from well-meaning members to ensure a smooth running of the event.

The DOXA DIGITAL’s Role

As the top events manager in Abuja and beyond, we were assigned to provide all services that will ensure that the luncheon event was successful technically and otherwise. We deployed all our technical expertise and equipment towards the event and to the location respectively. The event took place at the National Ecumenical centre a magnificent edifice with gothic arches and splendour with a sitting capacity of about 3000 persons and an installed pipe organ.

After we analyzed the facility, we discovered that due to the very high headroom, the large surface area,  with very smooth and hard surfaces due to the materials that were used for the building, It was certain that we were going to experience a lot of echo back, if we were not careful. In view of this, we decided to use our precision sound gears strategically placed in specified angles and a specified height above the ground level. This went a long way to eliminate the echoes to the barest minimum and ensured an even and consistent sound all around the facility.

Superbly, we deployed our universal trussing system with which we displayed our lighting arrays, creating an ambience befitting for worship. Our LED mega screens were inclined at a strategic position to ensure that participants are engaged with the actions happening at the centre of the stage.

Technically and otherwise, we surpassed all expectations making the event most successful.

Nairaland / General / Did You Know That Your Event Is Your Identity by DoxaDigital(m): 12:24pm On Apr 23, 2019
After discovering these facts you will neither underestimate nor treat your events with kid’s gloves no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be.

Organizations have often played down their events to mere meetings of stakeholders, shareholders and or sales executives. Consequently, this may have led to scaling down of the impact of their event on guest thereby watering down the main objectives.

Events are a subset of any organization, it reflects in a nutshell organization’s core values, policies and interest. “Show me an event and I will tell you who you are”. Organizations, who use events as a marketing tool or who always interact with a public want to be seen in a specific way and want the public to know them with a specific image.

With our wealth of experience in events management and planning, we do not underestimate any event, no matter how small that event is. This is because we have discovered that every event is a network connecting one or two bridges together. These bridges may become necessities tomorrow, but the important thing is that you are already in the web of things; so you may never be exonerated making you relevant at all times. Give your all in every event; treat it as if the future of your organization depends on it.

You are never a lone ranger, if no one is watching you, your competitors are watching you and studying your game, it’s your choice if you want to remain dorsal or active oozing the best that your industry has to offer. Your weakness is a strong point to your competitors and your strength is what they will try to beat. The objectives of your events must be one that reflects you as the best option in your industry. It should wear relevant aesthetics that suggest corresponding meanings. Colours, themes, logos and event sequences must all represent who you are. These are image forming properties of the event. They last longer in the subconscious of your guest much more than the venues, the food or even the invited icons. According to a biologist John Medina in one of his works Brain rules, people are likely to remember only 10% of the information they hear but “if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retain 65% of the information 3 days later”.

Use your event to tell a compelling story of your brand and what it represents, it is enough ground to make your guest believe that you are the best. Much more than this is that you can keep that promise which is your brand. Ensure that there is coherence in all graphics design, aesthetics and all collaterals. Colours have been known to affect how people feel about a particular figure. Make sure it aligns with the objectives of the event and then the brand.

Another aspect you should really consider is digital inclusion. Events have now gone digital, in order words, any event without a digital inclusion may just be a plan to fail. People are thinking and living digital, and their life is now on the go. To be on the same page with your audience, think digital, find out ways of transferring or exchanging information with them in a manner they will understand using digital tools and channels. Establish your brand on the digital space so that you can be visible when searched or on demand digitally. Get your brand presence on that social media that is relevant to your industry and successfully build a community that you will constantly engage with, which may stand with you when you need them. Take advantage of live streaming for the events to be viewed by some others in a different location and or those who are not opportune to be at the event location.

In conclusion, set up a feedback mechanism to filter in comments from your community, let them tell you what your brand means to them, how they want to be served better and what they think you are not doing well. All of these is to place your brand in good light, making them feel that you respect their views and comments.

Nairaland / General / We Made The 11th Bola Tinubu’s Colloquium Event In 3 Amazing Ways by DoxaDigital(m): 8:57am On Apr 01, 2019
28 March 2019, International Conference Centre, Abuja, was the trending site according to Google map and other social media tools when the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the ruling party in Nigeria’s political scene, Ahmed Bola Tinubu (Jagaban) as he is popularly called, marked his 67th birthday with a lecture. The President of Nigeria His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari represented by the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo graced the occasion alongside state governors, members of the national assemblies, members of the house of reps, members of the diplomatic community, royal fathers and others members of the APC.

The 11TH Bola Tnubu’s Colloquium event is still very much talked about because of its success and other representations especially as it concerns the health of Nigeria’s economy, democracy and politics.
However, for us in DOXA DIGITAL we will continue to savour the taste of the huge Success we recorded in this event. As the chosen, and the Top events manager in Abuja, we made it happen in these 3 amazing ways

Sound Amplification
Amongst a very few, sound amplification is a critical part of any event. It can make or mar the sensitivity of any event objective. Imagine a situation where audibility of an event is in doubt, communication efforts is defeated. At that point in time distraction sets in and you can guess what follows.
Many event organizers undermine this fact but the organizers of the 11th Bola Tnubu’s colloquium trusted DOXA DIGITAL to provide excellent sound amplification and we delivered. We deployed our world class sound precision system the Alfa fire 444 series, an array system exclusive to DOXA DIGITAL.

Stage Set
The aesthetics which include the stage set of any events carries essence. It encapsulates the very reason why your audiences are gathered and so wise event organizers don’t joke with this aspect. The door way to your audiences emotions are through what they see, feel and touch. Your audience must feel a unique and special kind of atmosphere to feel accepted otherwise you have lost fundamental part of them. As Abuja’s Top event manager we delivered, we designed and installed an amazing stage set that captured the essence of the BTC event. Even after the event many guest still posed in front of our stage set that take selfies which made round on various social media platforms.

Videography Production/ LED Mega Screen and Multimedia
Engagement is a buzz word in the social media parlance; it indicates a major activity that denotes the ability to communicate effectively with a particular audience thereby eliciting favourable and/or positive actions in favour of the involved parties.
We take engagements very seriously and so is any serious minded event organizers, Why did you gather guest if you are not able to engage with their time, emotions and attention?

As the best experienced event manager in Abuja and Nigeria as a whole we gave the BTC event the best videography and multimedia services. Audiences were carried along maximally without losing out on any aspect of the event. Presentations sequences were on point and we successfully gave feed to most national television broadcasting organizations that were present. More so, our High Definition LED mega screens were in action to show all the captivation actions stylishly to the attendees of the memorable events.

Nairaland / General / Here Is How To Connect Your ROI With An Event by DoxaDigital(m): 3:01pm On Mar 20, 2019
Every venture is an investment intentionally set up to make a profit or perform optimally, therefore to evaluate the efficiency of the investment or interest ROI comes in handy.

ROI also known as Return on Investment is a financial term used to measure performance. It may seem confusing and complex to some especially for those not in the financial sector. However, you cannot completely do without this reality. In the other hand, events can absolutely impact greatly on the ROI of your organization. Find below interesting factors on how you can use events to enhance the ROI of your organization.

Determine your ROI

The first step is to determine what your ROI is expected to be.  ROI can mean different things to different people or group. To the non-profit organizations (NGOs) it could be a measure of high impact and influence on the behavioural change of a certain target audience. For a service organization, it could be the amount of many more customers that have demanded their services at a particular time of review. While for others it could be how much returns monies they have gained over the last period of investment. For whatever model, it is important to be realistic, and specific.

ROI may not be a static value, but understanding the range of what the expected is will go a long way. Scholars have also fashioned a mathematical formula for the calculation for ROI which can help to get a standard value. Further research will help you to understand the use of the formula.

Create the event

It is time to create an event that will directly impact on the ROI that has been set above. At this stage, it is time to carefully look at your audience or customers, understand their interest and behaviours, some will call it psychographics demographics.  These are essential metrics that will determine what type of events you will need to create. It will also determine when, where and how you want the events to be. At this stage also certain objectives will have to be drawn in connection to the ROI determined above. You may likely want to involve an experienced or top event manager in the business of events planning and management to bring in their expertise in order to reduce the risk involved. A one-off event may not give you results, but a constant consistent event may get you to that destination.

Events are undoubted, an absolutely sure way of exposing and promoting your brand to a certain public. It also helps to remind and or keep your brand on top of your audience mind in relation to other brands that keep competing with relevance and space.

Use your tape

The major reason for setting objectives for the event is to measure compliance or level of attainment of the set goals at the end. As mentioned above evaluating every event will help to adjust and re-adjust inputs needed to facilitate attainment of the goals. Realistic, specific and measurable goals are the only sure way of getting true results.  A Post event survey will do a good job to fetch the essential information needed for a decision.  In other terms, you may check the numbers of sales experience after the event etc.

Re-launch into the deep

One cap may not fit all. While it is quite a difficult task to study the psychographic demographics of your audience in order to know what works for them, it is not out of place to try and try again using various indices in the event of not getting what is needed at any instance. Getting results must be the mindset of the team and therefore no quitting no matter the frustration.  Every event may be unique in style and delivery but should carry a consistent message at each instance.

Nairaland / General / 3 Practical Things You May Never Get With An Event by DoxaDigital(m): 3:08pm On Mar 05, 2019
Events and or events marketing may not be as old as many may conceive it to be, but it is a phenomenon that stakeholders around the world have come to appreciate. Companies and organizations have looped their brands with several profitable opportunities using this universal language called events.

However, organizations have often been disappointed because they have expected orange juice from apple fruit. This literature looks at 3 areas where organizations should reduce their expectation and probably re-strategies to engage other techniques.

Events may not redeem your bad image
According to the famous Warren Buffet, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it”. As much as it depends on you, guard your organization’s image and reputation with all you have got. It is seemingly less possible to get back your organization’s image once it has been laundered badly. Seriously speaking, selling an event in an attempt to redeem your image is like pouring water into a basket. A once battered reputation takes a lot of time to heal; audiences will take quite a while to anchor their trust on you again. Since an event involves more of outdoor activity, what marketing activity would be applicable to help resolve their already damaged reputation and deliver an immediate result? I guess none

Events may not be a great option for short-lived product or service
Sometimes events may have been over-presumed to be the magic stick to getting increase sales, higher market share, in house penetration and increased brand awareness (Odion Oscar Odibor) however; using events to achieve one or more of the above mentioned merits for a short lived product and service may be the dumbest idea ever. For instance, imagine a newspaper company creating an event just to be able to get more sales for their newspaper which is an example of a short lived product. It will only amount to an absolute waste of resources. Once the event is over, memories will rescind and the audience may change their mind because of other calling pressing options. Stakeholders should therefore fashion out another strategy suitable for enriching the marketing penetration of short lived products and services.

Product Excellence is not in the event
Many people may have be deceived or made to believe that the success of an event is proportional to the excellence in the product or service. However, the cat is let out of the bag with a trial; your audience will soon discover the real deal. Stakeholders who don’t work to keep the credibility of their brand’s promise will tend to shift the credibility of their brands on organizing a killer event to sway people’s attention and or probably win their emotions. Well. this could last but for a moment, as the audience will gradually discover levels of incompetence and shift loyalty. It is particularly important to tell the real story to your audience, allow them to make their own lemonade while you continually engage them using other strategies. With time it is almost certain that you efforts will count.

Nairaland / General / How Event Managers Can Influence Elections In Nigeria by DoxaDigital(m): 9:22am On Feb 20, 2019
Since the return to democracy in 1999, elections into democratically elected offices in Nigeria has been that of so much mixed media such as triumphs, rivalry, contentions, as well as system growth. However, one thing remains, democracy has come to stay. Successive government has emerged through elections even though some quarters agree that it has been free and fair while others believe it has been marred with so many irregularities.

Be that as it may, events planners and or managers in Nigeria cannot alienate itself from being a major influencer towards a successful conducting of general elections in Nigeria. Find below a few points on how Event managers can influence elections in Nigeria.

Create voter and Party-centric events
As events specialist, we’ve got factors working for us, such as creativity, experience, goodwill, technical know-how which can be expended without committing so much resources etc. With these, concerted efforts can be deployed into creating events that are specific to addressing, an identified aspect of the electoral process as related to the voter or political party. We can collaborate with a central electoral body such as INEC and or any other critical stakeholder to achieve a set goal. Such events must be seen to be neutral or be known to send messages that do not suggest partisanship or else very lofty aims will be defeated.

Be involved in voter education

One of the surest ways of getting voters to be aware of their rights and other useful information is through voter education. Apart from the knowledge of just going to their polling unit to cast their ballot, there are other essential information that voters should be armed with. For instance, being aware of the provisions of the law as regards how the elections should be conducted.
Event planners come in handy here by using the advantage of having huge followers either on social media and other offline social platforms to engage their audience on an identified area of voter education they consider suitable. The events manager involved must ensure that the information passed are correct and credible and have been verified thoroughly with relevant bodies.

Be neutral
As an event manager, you have sufficient influence on people to make them take a decision in favour of a particular candidate or political party. All your efforts may just become nought when you are found directing voters to a preferred party or candidate. Be neutral all the way throughout the season. What if they are your clients? You may ask. I will simply say think of when the elections are over. You are simply in business for everyone. You should be open enough to accommodate any political party ready to do business with you. But be neutral all the same. Encourage people to vote their conscience and vote wisely considering the parameters provided by the party or candidate.

Don’t sit on the fence
In conclusion, being neutral does not mean you should not be involved in the process you have encouraged people to partake in. Go and vote! and by that, you are fulfilling your civic responsibility and thereby also showing a good example to your followers who are looking up to you to follow.

Nairaland / General / 2 Fascinating Events Life Has To Offer You by DoxaDigital(m): 3:00pm On Sep 25, 2018
Interestingly, events happen every day to everyone. The good, bad, ugly handsome, rich or poor, big and small organizations can never escape these events. To a large extent, it shapes the future of anyone depending on the way it’s been handled.

As experienced events managers, we discovered that these two events and the way we handled them earned us a place in the industry today because we turned our wounds into wisdom. Find below these two events that life has to offer you.

Failure

No one wants to be associated with the word failure, no matter how it looks or the kind of form it takes. The truth about failure is that it is a constant package that comes with life, so anyone who wants to run away from it may be chasing shadows and probably lose a critical essence of life. Or simply put running away from a necessary evil you live to fight another day.

Nonetheless, it is a sure way of growing and discovering better ways of achieving a particular set target. It was Donald Trump the president of The United States of America, who said “sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war”. However, the world has a giant catalogue of individuals and organizations that have virtually failed and are now very successful and are at the top of their game.

Michael Jordan is one of the worlds greatest basketball player of all times, no one would ever imagine that he had ever failed; this is his story in his own words. “I have lost almost 300 games, I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career, on 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game-winning shots and I missed, I have failed over and over and over again, that is why I am successful”.

Let’s conclude with the words from Skylar Grey” Your personal life, your professional life and your creative life are all intertwined. I went through a few very difficult years, where I felt like a failure. But it was actually really important to go through that struggle for me is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day as long as you treat it that way.

Success
Another event you cannot ignore in life is Success, everyone likes to be tagged as successful in any of its forms. However, Success is much more than an English word, it is all about consciousness and determination followed by action towards a set target no matter what may come. Success is much more than dreaming and confession. Like the 65th Secretary of State to the United States of America Collin Powell said: “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence”.

The road to success is never an easy ride. There is a price to pay for it and the worth is never calculated by how much money you have, how much connection you may command, but by the amount of tenacity you possess backed up by a learning process from your failures. Just as explained earlier, there is no successful person on earth that has never failed because success itself is a result of conquering failure.

Whenever we manage events, we are so sure it will always come out successful because we have through our experience discovered better ways of making it come out the best even when it seems awkward at a certain stage.

The first step and the only best way to success is to try and try and keep trying, no one ever dies from trying but are at the risk of dying when you don’t try at all.

These two events are always at your doorstep and yours to grasp but you must do one thing first. Get up and move.

Nairaland / General / Abuja's Top Event Manager To Make 2019 General Elections An Event To Remember by DoxaDigital(m): 1:29pm On Aug 14, 2018
With less than 200 days to the history-making 2019 General Elections in Nigeria, DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria, a top Event Management company in Nigeria’s capital Abuja is poised and strategically positioned not to reinvent the wheel, but to cause a major shift in Nigeria’s Elections history. With an undeniable vast experience in events management/planning, prints and conferencing; DOXA DIGITAL has discovered what may be the jinx breaker in the upcoming polls.

It's been four eventful years from the last General Elections in 2015, and over 60 percent of Nigerians (although unofficial) have attained the year of 18 and above, the age stipulated by law as eligible for voting. This may not be farfetched because according to estimates from an online source, Nigeria has grown in population over the past four years with an average rate of 2.65 percent each year contributing to about 2.5 percent of the world’s population which stands at about 7.5 billion. Also, over 65 percent of Nigeria’s populations are youths between the ages of 18 and 35 with a median age of 17.9 years. More so, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has indicated that over 80 million Nigerians have been registered. The guess is yours on who makes the largest share. Going into these elections with the above assertion, it's already an obvious fact that these young population may have a greater say on who wins

What is DOXA DIGITAL doing?
However, as top Event Planners/Managers, DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria has since commenced a process of galvanizing this group towards the 2019 elections. With tested strategies, collaborations and consultations with relevant electoral bodies, not for profit organization etc, we have gained tremendous momentum in being able to demystify the minds of these young ones.

Furthermore, through our corporate social responsibility (CSR), Consultancy services and events management, DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria has been involved in several programs geared towards the purpose of winning the heart of the youths. Through events management, Abuja's top events management company has been involved in the INEC Campus Outreach, a campaign and sensitization drive, taken to some universities in the country and funded by the European Union. This is an outreach programme meant to awaken the sensibilities of youths on the need to play an active role in elections and governance. Not to sell their votes whereby surcharging their future. Through collaboration with a youth movement called The Capital Movement (TCM) DOXA DIGITAL organized a musical and talent show in Nigeria's capital that attracted thousands of youth. During this event, the youths who exhibited various talents and skills were taken through a round of sensitization and re-orientation messages, especially for the first time voters. It was a successful strategy because the youths realized that they were a major stakeholder in governance and politics as Nigerian stands and that they had their future in their hands. They promised not to sell their votes but to vote for their future and for their conscience.

Over the years, this group in Nigeria’s population must have been underestimated, overlooked, intimidated and kept in the dark. Consequently, these young ones have over the years shown less or no interest in governance and politics. Not caring how governance shapes their future and that of the unborn child. This may be the reason why some youths in the past had been seen to be gullible and as such played into the hands of selfish politicians as tools for perpetrating electoral violence, such as ballot box snatching and stuffing.

Meanwhile, accolades must be given to this present administration for passing into law the Not Too Young To Run bill which in spite of strong oppositions has seen the light of day. We hope this move is sustained sincerely. However, it has preempted a revival in various youth circles and will pave way for wealthy, futuristic youth engagement in governance and politics

DOXA DIGITAL Nigeria Abuja’s best event management company is managed by a team of professional and dedicated individuals, whose experience in events management and planning spans over 15 years. The team is very fortunate to be led by a Pharmacist turned events guru; Olatunde Benjamins-Laniyi and supported by Dayo Benjamins Lamiyi.
