Of course we must do something to help him bounce back again, presently we are still taking stock of his losses.

I think those who lost their source of livelihood in the Onitsha inferno should be monitored to prevent any suicidal attempt.

Scores of traders in the famous Onitsha Main Market committed suicide when a substantial part of the market got burnt some years back.

UPPER IWEKA INFERNO: Gov. Obiano visits scene.

~ Promises to compensate traders before Christmas.

~ Urges ndi Anambra to be our brothers keepers in this terrible situation.

UPPER IWEKA: The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano just arrived the scene of yesterday's inferno at Upper Iweka.

The Governor, expressed sadness over the unfortunate incidence. He however assured that, a Panel of Inquiry that has been swiftly set, shall commence immediate work to ascertain how number of shops affected, and their owners.

The Governor informed that, all well meaning of Ndi Anambra, have called to commiserate with the victims. He urged them to know that the government of Anambra State are together with them in this trial times.

He also expressed concern over the inability of the State Fire Service Team to be allowed to rescue the situation. He however, assured that the Government will beef-up the Fire Service facility around the Upper Iweka axis.

He also warned criminal elements to stay away people's property as a result of what happened, noting that, the government will deal decisively with any criminal caught in criminal activities.

According to Facebook source, this incident happened on the 15th day of October, 2019 at about 1500hrs. Along Benin/Lagos bypass express road.

One Sergeant Yusuf Igoche with F/N0:462248 from Delta State Command who was on escort duty to Lagos State.
An Eye witness claimed that the deceased was shot by group of Fulani Herdsmen, while his principal have been rushed to UBTH for proper treatment. Meanwhile, operatives are combing the Bush to track down the suspects.
