dozzybaba: Yoruba Christian fathers will prefer to give their daughter to Igbo Christian men rather than their Yoruba muslim brothers. Prove me wrong.
This is the height of extreme ignorance.

Asiwaju Bola ahmed Tinubu's wife is a christian, Governor Ifashola's wife is a christian, Governor Amosun's wife is a christian, some of Governor Raufu aregbeshola's children are christians.

It is obvious that you know nothing about the religious pluralism of the Yorubas.

I do not engage in religious mudslinging and i'l implore you and eggheaders to desist from it.

I need some clarification here

Are the Isreali's Christians? I thought they practise Judaism/law of Moses and they do not accept Jesus christ as the God sent messiah.

Are there only Moslems in Palestine? I thought there are also Christians in palestine. The church of nativity(jesus' birth place) is in Bethlehem, a palestinian territory.

when are you going to reclaim your fathers abandoned property in port harcourt?

I learnt it was an uneducated Ikwere illiterate that chased him out of the house he built with the money gotten from the sale of your younger brother at the abakaliki baby factory

Tell us about how the Ikwere's, a minority tribe with a population less than 2million, rejected and chased you ibo failures out

Students of the Ondo boys high school had a good view of the battle of Ore. It is said that the Ore hunters massacred the biafran cowards like bush meat, they were slaugthered as one would a grasscutter or an antelope.

The way you ibos foolishly hinge your plans based on the Yorubas action or inaction is simply ridiculous; This is the same mistake ojuku made

Leave the Yorubas alone let them worry about Ilorin. You should be concerned about how to reclaim Port Harcourt and how to change rumuigbo, rumuodara, rumuokoro, rumuokwuta etc back to their original ibo names

Sheikh Ibrahim El-zazazky's shi'a Islamic movement in Nigeria has a very strong international backing most especially from the shi'a moslem countries in the middle east.

Ibrahim Nasrallah, the leader of the Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Supreme Leder of Iran, Ayatollah Ali say'id Khomeni are both patrons of Sheikh Ibrahim's Islamic movement in Nigeria

dozzybaba: If the country breaks, Igbos would love to help yorubas kick out fulani jihadists and push them further North
No but no thanks.

The Yorubas had been fighting their wars by themselves as far back as the 1600's when you ibos were still dancing na.ked in the jungles of alaibo before Lord Lugard fished you primitive ibo apes out many centuries later.

Tell us about your fathers abandoned property that was taken over by an uneducated Ikwere illiterate, when are you reclaiming it? What about rumuigbo, rumuodara, rumuokoro, rumuokwuta etc when are you civil war losers changing the name of those places back to their original ibo names?

0rlando0woh: What a shame!
A large chunk of your land is right now under their lock and key, you are here giving people kudos for an imaginary victory.
Victory indeed!
Igbo, the etymology of Ilorin is derived from a Yoruba phrase: Iron smelting.

All the political office holders in Ilorin nay Kwara state are Yorubas, what we have issues with is the traditional monarchy which is even inconsequential anyway.

Why dont you tell us about the abadoned property in port harcourt? What about rumuigbo, rumuodara, rumuokoro, rumuokwuta etc when are you going to change them back to their original ibo names?

anago9010: . the Ibadan warriors just left the ilorin outpost unconquered to serve as lessons to future afonjas.
I am of the opinion that the Ibadan military success' got into their head. If there hadnt been a fall out in the camaraderie between Kurunmi of Ijaye and Basorun Oluyole of Ibadan with Alaafin Adelu the son of Alaafin Atiba, the 1860/1861 Ijaye war wouldnt have been fought, Kurunmi wouldnt have been killed and the Yoruba's would have had a much more stronger fighting force.

The Ibadan 'Lords' were war mongers; between 1860 &1885 Ibadan was engaged in five different wars simultaneously. The sixteen years kiriji war was also between the Ibadan and the military alliance of the Ekiti's and Ijesha's

GuyFawkes: The battle of Oshogbo finally put a check on the fulanis jihad towards the sea as the fulani cavalry proved to be useless in the forest.Ibadan concentrated on opening up the trade routes towards the south which had been under the control of the Ijebus.
They left the ilorin people to their fate but recovered other towns around it like Igbomina.
Prior to the Battle of Osogbo in 1840 which eventually checkmated the drive of the fullah's into Yoruba territory, several unsuccessful attempts had already been made to halt the fullah's advance viz: The battle of Ogele, The Eleduwe war(Alaafin Oluewu lost his life in this war), The Mugba Mugba war etc.

We owe our gratitiude to the memory of these Ibadan war generals that gave the yoruba race victory at the 1840 battle of Osogbo:

Balogun Oderinlo
Basorun Ibikunle
Basorun Oluyole etc
