JibolaUsman: The truck had little to do with the accident since it was stationary and off the road. Anyone who is a good driver navigates differently when they spot a truck on the side of the road on the express.
So if I'm driving and I hit someone on the pedestrian side of the road that person is responsible for being close to the road ?
You normally have a full 100 meters to slow down or change lanes. The only time judgement becomes impaired is under the influence of sleep, alcohol, hunger. We should thank God they did not hit someone on a bicycle on the side of the road or someone walking, off the road. And the story just keeps changing they say a tire burst today and tomorrow it's brake failure. One thing is certain the truth will come out. The outcome of that accident resulted in the loss of two lives. If they had hit any other thing than the truck, would they still be alive? Your guess is as good as mine |

Sports › Re: Driver’s Son Reveals The Cause Of Anthony Joshua Road Accident by DrAda(f): 3:14pm On Jan 05 |
DeepSight: + You misunderstand me. My issue is with you saying that no matter what, the presence of the truck is the cause. I never said that. There were many confounding variables and that included the truck. Blaming the driver entirely for the accident was wrong particularly since the govt failed to do its part. A perfect analogy is blaming a child with foreign body airway obstruction for not chewing properly when the food you gave the child was a meal filled with fish bones |
Sports › Re: Driver’s Son Reveals The Cause Of Anthony Joshua Road Accident by DrAda(f): 3:08pm On Jan 05 |
DeepSight: + I have told you severally that even if it was there for only five minutes, the same thing could happen and you would start blaming the truck when there is no where in the world where such can be evacuated in a nanosecond which is what your comments imply. You imply it should NEVER happen that a truck would be parked on the side of a road when it happens in every country all the time and provisions are even made for that. What is the bone of contention here please? You seem to be fixated on the duration the truck spent on the road. You acknowledged that stationary cars should be towed but argued that in developed climes, it may not be done instantly which is logical. However the fact still remains that that a stationary car must be towed. This is Nigeria. That truck must have been there for several days. Why? Because that is the norm here in this country. We have no provisions to alert the appropriate agencies nor the resources to tow one, thus increasing the propensity of fatal road traffic accidents. Last year, we witnessed the cummulative deaths of 6 persons secondary to two vehicles ramming stationary trucks within a few days. Their chances of survival may have increased if the truck was not there I am inclined to believe that you do understand me but for some reason you have insisted on pursuing this for reasons best known to you. If you get off on being right all the time and abhor contrary opinions, then I advise we end this tete-a-tete because my opinion is unlikely to change |

DeepSight: + All over the word, spaces are made on the sides of roads for broken down vehicles to be parked before they are towed if necessary.
On no planet are cars towed away within one second or instantly. Read my revised comment. That truck has been there for more than a second |
Sports › Re: Driver’s Son Reveals The Cause Of Anthony Joshua Road Accident by DrAda(f): 2:45pm On Jan 05 |
DeepSight: DrAda - Note even the driver's son says the truck was parked not on the road, but the side of the road. But you will insist that it was all about the Truck! I knew the truck was parked on the side of the road. My arguement is that no car should be left on the side of roads because of the risks of causing accidents. Let's put this matter to bed please. A little research on this can help expand your view point. A truck parked on the side of a road can cause accidents—especially if certain safety conditions aren’t met.
How a parked truck can lead to accidents Reduced visibility: Large trucks block sightlines, especially on bends, hills, or narrow roads.
Sudden lane changes: Drivers may swerve late to avoid the truck, causing collisions.
Night-time risk: Poor lighting or lack of reflective markers makes the truck hard to see.
High-speed roads: Parked vehicles on highways or expressways are particularly dangerous.
Pedestrians & cyclists: They may be forced into traffic to go around the truck.
When it’s especially dangerous No hazard lights, cones, or warning triangles Parked close to a junction, bend, bridge, or hill crest Poor weather (rain, fog, dust) Roads without shoulders or lay-bys
Bottom line: A stationary truck doesn’t move—but it can still be a major hazard. Parking heavy vehicles on the roadside without proper warning is a well-recognised cause of preventable road traffic accidents. |

Trump is our saviour, Trump is this, Trump is that. I hope you all are happy now. He has three more years to go so it's safe to assume that he is just warming up.
The US congress alongside with the rest of the world are terribly afraid to speak up. UN is a fat joke (US is UN). Netflix is probably working hard right now to secure the rights to a documentary. Silicon valley tech juggernauts are keeping mute because they don't want their shares tanking or incite policies that will wipe their profits. Everyone is looking out for themselves while this man keeps wreaking havoc to the world just because he can. Honestly, he keeps getting worse that the possibility of a nuke launch just upped a notch.
But hey, let's all fold our hands and keep watching this horror movie unfold. The ripple effect will be long term and devastating. |

If they say women shouldn’t be involved in politics you’ll be crying gender discrimination…I’m giving you realistic possibilities you’ve not brought any objective insight or even given thought to what I’m saying.I don’t know what you’re arguing about.Read my comment again. You’ve not held world power position to know what to do in this matter concerning those files . Sit this one out. Your arguments so far have been below par and honestly tiring. Kimo21: Like I said you’ve not held such position to know what to do. Have you considered the fact that the files can have victims which are not meant to be disclosed and false narratives to be fact checked? Even the Tinubu I don’t like his drug related cases it’s not everything they released oo…just so you know. Don’t allow democrats personal hatred for trump make you to assume what you don’t know or you’re not sure of. Eipstein files is a matter that is clearly above you to make conclusions you’re not sure of. So when it concerns Bill gates, all Epstein-related files must be released but when it comes to Trump, it's important we redact as much as we can to preserve public peace. Wisdom? |

Trump is clearly over compensating.
Who has watched House of Cards? Trump absolutely loves this series and is borrowing some scenes from it. In my own opinion, Trump is concerned about the Epstein files and to counter that, he needs a bigger distraction, ergo, his recent unhinged actions and utterances in Nigeria, Venezuela, and God knows who's next. The more egregious, the better..And guess what, it's working. |

They can invade any sovereign country that won't have enough strength to fight back, bomb them indiscriminately, and kidnap their leaders indiscriminately? Can USA dare do this to China or Russia? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE THAT USA HAVE KILLED THIS MORNING IN THIS BOMBING? If this was done to a Muslim country, you people would have been using the narratives of Islamic terrorists, right? Just as you defended what those terrorists did to Palestinians, but you can cry that Russia is doing genocide to Ukraine... Don't worry, karma exists... APOPTOSIS: U have rushed to medications suddenly. Isn't that too fast? As the scientist you are, why not critically look into his questions and approach them from factual end than the depressive reaction. An overzealous clergyman would want to approach it from religious standpoint without critically looking into the concerns. Don't those concerns bother you? Haven't you at some point in life thought of things like that? Did you ever recommend antidepressants or mood stabilizers immediately? An unexamined life (where u swallow everything without reflection and self- reflection) is not worth living. This means you would have prescribed medications to Socrates, Aristotle, Aneximenes, and many more.
Those are critical questions coming from a critical thinker. Please follow my train of thought. I told him to see a clinical psychologist and then tried to educate him that there are effective remedies beyond words of advice and prayers. |
