The issue here is not a party being punished for doing something wrong. My concern is a country declaring itself a victim and then turning into an aggressor all because the said country is interested in pillaging the resources of the weaker country.

Seems fair as long as same logic is applied to men who propose and don't commit in a year or two

I understand where you are coming from from. Simply put, you assumed that I trivialized the role of a wife/mother who may not have the same financial prowess as the husband. That, however, is not the case.

Globally, men are better paid than women. We need to accept this as the gospel truth. So, logically speaking, men in most cases earn better than their wives. With regards to the responsibilities alluded to in my earlier posts, my focus wasn't entirely hinged on money.

I am glad to see that this generation is finally speaking openly about what marriage truly is and it’s certainly not fairy tales.

Personally, I believe that marriage should be taught as a formal subject in schools. Without early education, how can we expect young women who have grown up all their lives seeing themselves as equals to their male peers to suddenly adopt a secondary role simply because they are married? That expectation is neither natural nor fair.

Likewise, it is unrealistic to assume a marriage is an equal partnership when one partner, most likely the males, shoulders all the responsibilities.

Marriage should not be about hierarchy, it should be about partnership, shared growth, and balanced contirbutions. Preparing the next generation to understand this truth in a formal setting is not just wise, it’s necessary.
