Oggg:I received a generic response advising that the points raised in my complaint should be evidenced in any future application. However, all of those points were already fully evidenced in the refused application. The refusal appears to have been based on subjective judgment rather than on missing evidence. As a result, I chose not to reapply for my mum, as submitting similar evidence would likely lead to another refusal. She is doing well in Nigeria, and not visiting the UK is not the end of the world. |

Note my mother inlaw visited and returned to nigeria as at when due. |
Good day everyone, I’m seeking advice from people who have experience with UK visit visas or immigration generally. My mother recently applied for a UK Standard Visitor Visa to visit me and my family (I and my wife are both NHS doctors) for a short family visit. Unfortunately, her application was refused under Appendix V (genuine visitor / intention to leave). What is confusing and frustrating is this: My mother-in-law applied earlier and was granted a UK visit visa I sponsored more money for my mother-in-law (700£ as to £400) than for my mum. My mum earns more monthly than my mother-in-law My mum had higher savings (₦3.4m vs ₦2.1m) Both have no previous travel history. Both have husbands and children living in Nigeria. Both had employment letters and approved leave. Both applications had detailed cover letters and supporting documents. Despite this, UKVI refused my mum’s application, saying her economic circumstances are not strong enough and that they are not satisfied she would leave the UK at the end of her visit. There is no right of appeal, only reapplication if circumstances change. My questions: Has anyone experienced this kind of inconsistency before? What kind of “change in circumstances” realistically makes a difference for a UK visit visa? Is it better to wait before reapplying, and if so, how long? Is there anything specific UKVI tends to value more (employment type, length of service, assets, etc.)? I’m not looking to argue with UKVI, just trying to understand how to approach this sensibly without wasting money on another refusal. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone with experience, especially successful reapplications. Thank you I will be in the comment session. Attached is the refusal letter

Nchabuomo:Have you seen the passport, how did this get resolved. I am in same situation. we are so lost we have no clue where the passport is. |
twojul:I don't know if you have made your application. If not just print out the statement after deposit were made, home office don't care if any transactions was made or not. The money must be there for at least 28 days. Congrat in advance. For NHS job nobody will stress you, mine took 2 days |
