Donfamous: a pastor prayin for someone to gat mad? That's great. Av u forgotten pray for ur enemies. Besides does ur church encourage dat?If Elisha could command wild bears to kill innocent children then Pastor adeboye commanding a seductress to go mad for his own protection is still better if he really had the power of God in him.. BTW, yes the bible said you should pray for your enemies but failed to tell Christians the kind of prayer one should pray for the enemy.. |
Donfamous: are u for real? Dis is not actually enemy per say. Its temptation. 1thessalonian 5:22 flee from all appearances of evil. Y can't Joseph stand with potiphar's wife and start casting out every demon. No amount of prayer can stop d woman, just like Jesus after 40 days and night Satan still came even with all d anoithin etc. Christian race has something to do with brain also not only prayerJesus christ came long after joseph era..Joseph never claimed to have the power of jesus or God to perform miracles so the possible thing joseph could do was to flee from the seductress and not report her to the IGP. Now according to your bible, jesus christ stated clearly that greater works you will do in my name. John 14:12: "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.. If jesus could simply say to satan " Get behind me satan" during his trial and temptation and immediately satan fleed, what stops pastor Adeboye from commanding the seductress to get out of his presence forever? John 14: 12-14 12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14"If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. |
Yooguyz: But she was threatening his wifeIf he really has the power of God in him, then he she command her to relocate and this verse justifies my statement Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |
Yooguyz: The point is the bible uses the word soul and spirit interchangedly. Do remember the Genesis account of Adam? God forbade Adam from eating a fruit in Eden, and that the day he eats of it,he would die. Well it turned out that when he disobeyed, he was simply banished from Jehovahs presence. Remember Adam ws reffered to as a living soul Gen 2:7.To cut this long story short, a man's soul cannot die right? |
Yooguyz: You guy's are very funnyWhat he should had simply done was to resist her advances..If she threatens his life then he should have made a commandment that she will go mad or be relocated far away from him..Is that not why he has the power of God in him? why running to the IGP for help when he suppose to seek help from God. |
ProphetUdeme: but the best way is to surrender it to God in prayer... There hath no temptation taken him as such that is common to man according to james 1 vs 13... He should not have publicise it cos everybody is now clapping hands for him.. What if he had failed and commited adultery would he have published it or kept it secret?Publicizing the issue or falling into temptation is a different story, the main point is that he didnt seek protection from God but rather went ahead to seek protection from Man i.e IGP |
ProphetUdeme: u are right.. Such an oppressive power that lustful temptations control.. The best way is to stay under the protective wings of the Almighty... I experience this and am a living testimony.. Fleeeee from youthful lust...But he didnt stay under the protective wings of the almighty as expected rather he went to seek protection from the Inspector general of police. So he is indirectly hiding under the wings of the IGP and not God. |
Yooguyz: Every man consists of a body, soul and spirit according the bible. Your spirit is imortal, your flesh is mortal. When a man dies, it's just his flesh that's physically dead his spirit is now homeless. When your spirit is dead, it's metaphoric for saying that it has simply dis-connected from it's source that's Jehovah.^^^So how can you explain how the soul dies as stated in the post below that you initially supported.vvv Wizemmanuel: Any soul that sinneth shall die. |
Raymondenyi: D bibble rightly stated; "flee temptation" temptation has a very great ower , n wheels over christains, d best means; is to flee it, n make it ublic; dat means it shall return no more!!!The bible also stated that : "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19 So what was expected from him was to bind that seducing woman like how they do on tv and declare that she relocates to another vicinity. |
PastorKun: The issue of him reporting such a domestic matter like that to the IGP got me laughing, he must have been lying or spicing up the story to make it more interesting to his gullible audience.Exactly..but what pains me most times is that if a member was in this same situation and the member reports this issue to the pastor, they will advice such member to believe the word of God then pray and fast against the seductress( aka daughter of Jezebel) but when it happens to the pastors they break all what they teach and seek help from other sources outside the bible. |
Yesterday's front page topic https://www.nairaland.com/1850029/how-married-woman-almost-seduced and some conversation really got me thinking. Why will a self proclaimed powerful man of God run to the IGP when a woman tried seducing him? Why didnt he simply command the woman to get lost into the wilderness since he has the spirit of God in him? I still wonder why he didnt pray to God to deliver him from this sexually dangerous and violent woman as stated in this verse: Psalms 18:48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Man in this verse can be either man or woman. Why didnt he seek for God's refuge and protection from this woman. As said in this verse: Psalms 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. He simply didnt remember the words of the bible as he ran to report this issue to the IGP. Is this not a powerful man that he performed several miracles we see on tv? what happened to all this power when sexually confronted? Elisha commanded a bear to kill about 40 innocent children that mocked him (a different topic for another day) so why didnt this pastor just simply command that the woman be relocated to another country or something to get her out of his way. If it was a member that had this issue, the so called pastor will tell them to watch and pray and have faith. |

Reports say three persons have been isolated at the Nsawam Government hospital in the Eastern Region for supposedly showing signs of the Ebola attack. MultiTV’s Matilda Womegah, who visited the hospital, said blood samples of the patients have been taken for medical testing at the Noguchi Memorial Institute. Among the patients is a 16- year-old girl who went to the infirmary Thursday with blood in her urine. Matilda continued that a 56-year-old man also came in from a nearby village, Adawso, with blood in his urine. The third patient’s case, she said, was a peculiar one because he had blood in his urine and faeces and was in a feverish condition. He is a 53-year-old long distance driver, who plies the Accra-Kumasi route. Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service is awaiting the test of a result of a Burkinabe, who was admitted at a health facility in Bawku in the Northern Region. Reports suggested he showed signs of the Ebola virus. http://mobile.ghanaweb.com/wap/article.php?ID=320541 |
28-year-old Vivian Ndukwu, a choir member in one of the Christ Embassy church in Lagos was said to have been in a secret affair with the pastor simply identified as Hillary and he eventually got her pregnant. The pastor planned with Vivian to lie to her parents and relocate to a safe place where she could have the baby. She hid the pregnancy from her family and told them she was going to Abuja. But she and the pastor arranged and she went to Agbara in Ogun where she delivered the baby, a girl, with the connivance of a woman who runs a orphanage. But unfortunately, a few days after giving birth, Vivian developed some serious complications and before she could be treated she lost her life… Vivian stayed at the orphanage until she was delivered of a baby girl on May 3, 2014. It was learnt that eight days after the delivery, Vivian was taken to a hospital after she complained of fever and headache. She died in the course of treatment and her remains had been taken to Badagry General Hospital morgue. According to Punch, the orphanage owner, Mrs. Grace Kato, claimed that Vivian never stayed at her place. She said, “Vivian called me three days after the birth of her baby. She said she wanted me to help her with the hospital bills, that she was stranded in the hospital. Out of compassion, I went to the hospital to help.” She claimed she took Vivian home after delivery to rest at her place for 2 days before returning to her parents. She added that Vivian, however, ended up staying at her place for five days before she died. In the word of the Madam Grace Kato: “I brought her to my house to rest for a day or two before taking her to her parents. In the process, I had to travel for my uncle’s burial. That was why she stayed that long because she was waiting for me to return. I came back on Saturday night, May 10, and the next day, she complained of a slight headache and we took her to another hospital nearby. That was where she died.” But the hospital where Vivian died claimed that she was rushed to the hospital unstable and restless. A doctor in the hospital said the people on duty stabilised her condition and referred her to a general hospital. The hospital source, who preferred to remain anonymous, said: “She was brought in on May 11, at about 1.20pm, unstable and restless. The story was that her complaint started that morning. Her blood pressure was also high. Being that we were not in possession of her past medical records, we acted based on clinical situation and referred her to a general hospital. “The people that brought her left and so there was no one to take her to where she had been referred to hours after stabilising her condition. Several calls to the number they gave us were replied with one story or the other. At some point, the lady started gasping, and eventually died. It was not until the following day that they came to pick up her remains.” The father of the deceased, Emmanuel Ndukwu. He told Punch on the telephone that the orphanage founder had agreed with her late daughter to take custody of the child after delivery without the consent of the family. He said he and his wife knew nothing about the pregnancy, adding that his daughter left his house and told the family that she was going to Abuja. He said, “After telling us that she was going to Abuja, we did not hear from her until her death. But we later learnt that Grace (orphanage owner) and her husband had organised a naming ceremony for the new baby without informing us.” Mr Ndukwu said he was not aware of the relationship between his daughter and Pastor Hillary until her death. He said, “My family and the pastor’s family have met and we agreed that Hillary will perform all the marriage rites for my late daughter according to the tradition of our people. We are doing this because a child is involved. The pastor did not deny his responsibility, so the normal thing must be done.” The police in Lagos said they are investigating the sad incident and all the parties involved. http://okgist.com.ng/blog/2014/06/photos-christ-embassy-pastor-impregnates-female-choir-member-in-lagos-now-shes-dead/ |
• Don’t play hard to get Playing hard to get makes it hard to find Mr. / Ms. Right. You need not pretend to be busy when asked out on a date; neither should you feign nonchalance when you really desire that person asking you out. There is a chance that when you change gear, it can be someone who will make you unhappy. • Never harbour stereotypes Not all men fear commitment and not every woman is needy. A large percentage of singles is anxious and seek closeness but worries about love not being reciprocated. Others are avoidant and shun intimacy. People who push others away or have a preconceived idea about intimacy are likely to end up single. • Don’t hold on to the past Holding on to an ex or a failed relationship makes it hard to find a new one. For these reasons, you become avoidant and uncomfortable in any relationship – you push others away and compare every new person you meet with your ex. Why not let go? • Be decisive If you are in a relationship but do not know what you want out of it, then you may be single for a long time. Have a mind of your own and take the responsibility of making your own decisions in your relationship. Be clear and certain about what you want and set out to get it. • Be flexible Already, you have a picture of who your ideal mate should be. Be flexible in your choice, and realistic; you can never get a perfect partner. No one is. Or do you want a relationship like that of the movies? Then, it might take a very long time. Getting stuck on finding all the qualities in your ‘what-I-want’ list is a faster way of remaining single. • Change your work schedules Some singles who are searching for mates would not think of you as good material, if you work late nights and on weekends. More importantly, not having the same schedule could be a huge strain on a relationship. It may not be easy to give up your passion or change career for someone, but nights and weekends are when most people are free to spend time together. It could be an expressway to being single. • Don’t indulge in ‘e-romance’ Online romances may meet some of your attachment needs, but not in a real way. Meet new prospects and stick to more realistic ways of meeting people. • Be bold and feel secure Some people avoid committed relationships because they worry they will become dependent on their mate, or break up rather too soon. It may be one fear or another. The trick is to boldly find someone and work at it. • Believe in yourself Some people think they simply are not worthy of meeting other people until they lose weight, amass a certain amount of money or achieve something. The key to overcome this problem is to believe in oneself and love oneself the way one is. • Don’t be a flirt Serious people who want to be engaged in serious relationships do not play around; they get down to the real deal. No one wants to date someone who is known for hopping into every available bed. http://www.punchng.com/spice/intimacy/10-quick-ways-to-get-married/ |
A former Minister of Finance and Agriculture, Mallam Adamu Ciroma, said in Kaduna on Saturday said he lost interest in Nigerian politics because of the insincerity of the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on rotational Presidency. He said rather than abiding by the agreement on rotational presidency, the party leadership scuttled it soon as former President Umaru Yar- Adua died in 2010. Ciroma, who spoke on the Liberty FM, Kaduna, insisted that somebody from the North should have completed Yar’Adua’s tenure and not President Goodluck Jonathan. Ciroma said, “I was there when the party was moving the Presidency between the North and the south. And this President was there when General (Olusegun) Obasanjo presided over the agreement in the PDP, which agreed that the movement of the Presidency from North to South should be based on two terms. “President Obasanjo did his two terms on behalf of the South, and Yar’Adua was doing his first term on behalf of the North but unfortunately, he died. And the PDP leaders, instead of agreeing on somebody from the North to complete Yar’Adua’s term, they all went to ensure that the Vice President became the President; and since the leaders we made agreement with departed from this agreement, I lost interest in Nigerian political affairs. “Because if you cannot trust people you form a party with, you win power with, you work hard with, whether it is Tony Annenih or any other of the party, I lost interest in the party itself.” While assessing the party since 2011 to date, the former minister expressed concern over the current security challenge in the land. He said, “The biggest of the worries facing the country is that of insecurity and the issue of Boko Haram, people who steal and the issue of bombing. These are problems and they become even bigger sources of worry as we look forward to 2015 general elections. “No matter what you do, politicians will always tend to get their affairs in line with the elections and a lot of people are worried, whether the 2015 elections will take place as we expect. Everybody is hopeful that the election will be well conducted and the result should be generally acceptable.” http://www.punchng.com/news/a-northerner-shoud-have-completed-yaraduas-term-ciroma/ |

if he hadn't reported it to the Police you would have said he consented to commiting adultery. Now he reported some are saying it's a lie or he should have commanded her to God knows where?
