Oga tell your friend not to waste his or her time Africa courier is not serious about recruiting anybody for now they are jut wasting people's time ,effort and finances after the last stage with the CEO u won't hear from them again don't bother yourself except if u just want to prepare yourself for a real interview with some other serious company that is hiring then you can go to ace mock interview because there are not hiring people.my 2cents

I don't work with ace but based on my experience with them I believe they only get back to you when you scale through to the next stage.
If you didn't get a feedback from them after an interview it probably because you didn't pass the interview. I had to mail them after three weeks requesting for my interview results before they told me I didn't scale through.
But my friend made it to the last stage in no time. He jus needs to see the ceo to discuss salary arrangements that's why he needs the information.

It was fine. The first interview was something else, though. ... The Head HR interviewed me for more than an hour. All questions stemmed from the responses I gave as regards my CV. You must be able to defend your CV well.

Next was with the Head Strategy and Marketing. It took about fifteen minutes. Got a call before I travelled back home, for the last interview slated the next day (yesterday); it was with the MD. It was more of a chat than an interview, although he told me it was not typical of the interviews he has had with other candidates.

I learnt a lot from all stages. You'd do the same, too. Just be open-minded. Because that's what they're looking for.

I was jus called by one of their HR and I was invited to come see him on monda but he dint mention anything like interview....Is this what I'm going there to meet on Monday

Venue : 37b Freedom way off ikate round about lekki phase 1. (Stop at ikate roundabout and ask of freedom way, the office is opposite delta afric tower).

You can retrieve the mail from your trash if you've not deleted that also. But you don't need the mail anymore if you've printed the page that contains your log in details

This is basically how it goes

Test: Gmat with current affairs (go thru page 58 n 59 on the nairaland thread for likely questions) Go with a calculator and all other necessary documents. Go early so u 're not tensed. If you are writing at the towers, then it's a paper based test not a computer based test.


Essay: Do u think that a person's childhood from the age of zero to twelve are the most important
Give reasons
But the essay questions keep changing
Parent or friends who has more impact on a child. Give your reasons.
Which culture in nigeria do u think other countries should emulate. Describe the custom or culture n give reasons.
Those are some of the essay questions but they keep changing .U would be given 30mins to write the essay.Use 5mins to gather ur thoughts.I don't think they will set something u won't be able to write about. Adequate preparation is key. For the essay, follow the normal procedures for writing an essay:
An introduction, the body and the conclusion.Give clear points or reasons.


BAT: this is a situational judgment test. It shows what you would do in any particular business situation, also called the business awareness test. Endeavour to tailor your responses to kpmg core values. if u don't know them, Google can help u. When the time comes, if I have mb, I can send u study packs for the BAT.


DOCUMENTATION: nothing serious here. Careful in filling the form. Select the unit u want. Audit takes in the largest, followed by tax. Then the rest which take in small numbers and are competitive to get in. IARCS, TA, MC n FRM. Fraud investigation is for all the lawyers in the house.


AC : which is assessment centre is basically three stages here. Chances of getting dropped is a bit high.
First stage: there is a panel interview, be confident, just ignore the faces
of those panel
interviewers. learn your final year project , find a link
between ur course of study and the unit u 're applying for,
why kpmg, what do you know about the unit u re applying to,
what stories ve u heard about the unit, what your unit is about, what
motivates you,tell us about urself in a way that makes me
want to pick u over the others that I have heard so far, then
some scenario based question, greatest challenges n how u ve
overcomed them, ur strengths n weaknesses, what stands u out
as a kpmg person .

the second stage: the one minute presentation which is key,
prepare well, something about your greatest acheivement or
someother topic but you would be given time to prepare for it
and i believe it something u can talk about current happenings
in the society n the likes, stick to one minute n pass the
info,cos more than a minute n u will be sure to be thrown out
from the interview place. (just kidding stick to a minute ),

Third stage is the group test, listen to the
instructions. try not to overshadow others, make sure u 're
heard, if u see someone isn't speaking, try n draw them into
the conversation, like let's hear what this person has to say,
time conscious too n select one person to keep the time n one
other to put down ur group's ideas. select your team leader, one who would present the
solutions at the end, a time keeper and some to me record of
the ideas being broughtup to solve the task.
know kpmg's core values n tailor ur answers n line
with its values n Its vision and the full meaning of kpmg.also
've a question to ask them at the end. you will hear do you
have any question for us. ask questions like how I life like
working for kpmg, are there any opportunities for job rotation
n how will my performance be assessed.
and pray that's very important.


PI: more like a continuation of AC. Each partner is different. So expect different questions. You can get the why kpmg,why a particular unit. Issues in the country. Devaluation of the naira, tax regulation, accounting standards, fuel subsidy and the likes. Just be calm and smile.

For those in tax, There is usually a head of tax interview after the PI or partner interview.

Too many questions, I wish I can do this verbally, I hate typing, or better put "I'm too lazy to". did my interview today, felt I should share a little bit of what would help.
1- the CV template is simple, save and edit with your PC and sign after printing out.

2- the grade segment of the employment history is simply (e.g intern, nysc, grade 8 ,grade 9 etc) the grade 8,9,7 bla bla bla is for people that as worked in a reasonably well structured organization with grade structure, if not just write " graduate trainee".

3- try not to forget the CV template at home,(don't be like me, I had to print in Sunkanmi's office, that lady is bae tho). that's the only document you may likely be asked.

4- try not to go late, a lady was sent back home for coming late, I don't need to dwell on this, you know what to do, leave your house early (left mine by 5:30 am) . you don't have an excuse.

5- now to the main business... interview , interview , interview!... the longest interview duration was 5 minutes, so be smart, succinct, confident , and straight to the point.
6- know the bank (back , front and center) , I guess I was the only one she didn't ask any question about the bank, I gave the impression I know a lot about the bank, so she didn't border to test me on that.

7- engineering graduate et al , be ready to do a mini course defense, if you know what I mean. #winks

8- would have continued, my finger aches already, how do people type those long epistle .

And that's what I'm going to do.

Wile employment record, you are in an organization or official job where you are paid ingrades,.. Key accomplishment- Wht u hav achieved... Increase customer relation, efficiency nd productivity, professional qualification-pmp n all dt... Skills- we hav diffrnt types..computer skills, public spking, analysing skills we also hv team player skills, positivity, creativity skills... Den interest nd activities are like hobbies..reading..bla bla. My opinion o... Drayoflife..do we tick excellent, good nd all dt?

OK what abt mgt training...someone jus told me if you have a prof qualification like pmp you'll have to fill that part too as the training you had. What's your take on that?
