Common things occur commonly. As a Dr, you won't be seeing multiple sclerosis everyday or cauda equina in the emergency room. You're more likely to see Mr Wakanda in different forms or similar form in all his glory.
Better you miss a multiple sclerosis case as a junior dr than to miss a ketoacidotic crisis like Mr Wakanda. Nobody wants you to fail as a student looking for bread in Nigerian medical schools, you have passed already until you show them you deserve to fail. Its only when you start looking for butter on top of your bread as a postgraduate that you are designed to fail until you prove yourself.
Proper intervention/mgt within 10minutes could save Mr Wakanda, till your oga at the top shows up. That's all needed of you, to hold the fort.
Even a question that appears as easy as severe malaria can cause confusion and mass failure when it comes to management

As a medical student, I think the questions are cheap for a final exam but it is also hard because they are topics you probably have done about 2yrs ago(400l)

It's a pity. I think there is a lot of exaggeration and statements that are not entirely true.
In the emergency department of any teaching hospital, medical students will not be the first to attend to you. There are medical officers in these emergency wards to attend to cases.
Also, medical students are not the one to give you materials that is needed to treat you but the nurses. So I don't understand the part of medical student collecting money except they are not real medical students but fraudsters because that act alone could end their career.
Also no medical student will be that callous to give those heart defying responses.

I think you are wrong about your last sentence. The school have produce great intellects who are doing well in the society. The issue is that it is how you allow the state of the school to affect your mentality that determines your achievements from the school. This applies to all schools

You just cracked a joke. SLT may have paid the highest fee then but now visit the college of medicine and medical sciences courses and their fee will set you on a journey of deep thoughg

Truly the fee is a bit expensive for a state university. The acceptance fee for students admitted into the faculty of law and medical science is over 100,000. I really understand the plight of the school. The so-called Governor of the state has stopped giving the school subvention since 2015 and the school have to rely on fees paid by students to pay the salary of her staff.

The plea should still be to the Government.

The joke of it all is the accreditation fee. Even medical students have to pay 50,000 for the pathology and pharmacology accreditation.

The students of Ekiti state university college of medicine has been suspended indefinitely from all academic activities and also ordered to vacate the medical student hostel by 12noon on the 26th of September 2016. This is as a result of the peaceful protest the student held on the 15th of September 2016 after almost 200% increase in school fees was announced. The part 4 and 5 student school fees was initially #162,250 but now over #350,000.
