BusinessRe: Jimon Ibrahim Against Dangote / Otedola -- This Is A Must Read by DrGabbi(m): 9:50am On Dec 07, 2015
This post was made nearly 8years ago. The story of these folks has changed dramatically. Dangote is now the richest black man in the world, Jimoh Ibrahim has gone back to school and Otedola is still in oil business at a bigger level.

the guy never talk true...ask him well well

With due respect, I dont think this guy has told us the whole story... if indeed he was 2 weeks to his 5th MB BS exam and then had to quit medicine for journalism then l find this very hard to beleive. He could have just sat for the exam, get the certificate and go ahead to shine in medical journalism like Dr Oz, The Doctors etc but to abandon med school just 2weeks to the final exam?? Nah nah nah...

Lagusta my brother l think this guy did not tell you the whole gist. l dont think this guy crossed 2nd MB BS (i.e 3rd year)... he probably did not make it and to avoid questions from his peeps he joined his colleagues to clinicals posing as a clinical student but decided to quit when there was nothing else to do and started giving the excuse of going after his passion....he is a smart guy.

However l wish well in his newly chosen profession.
The whole story is all true. He did get to final year in medical school. He was even my mentor when I got admission to study medicine. When you hear him talk, you'd know that he belongs elsewhere. A very good orator. Wish him success in his new path!
PoliticsRe: Ranking Of Nigerian States By Poverty Rates by DrGabbi(m): 2:57pm On Jul 01, 2015
MKO4ever:
This report is false
Jigawa should take the 1st position
And how can you rate kogi as 26.4% while Kano at 76.4%. I think the reverse should be the case
You don't know Kano well enough. Poverty is everywhere even the city capital is poverty ridden. Until very recently when Jigawa people started using blocks and iron roofing sheet, it used to be clay and elephant grasses for roofing. You'd see this even in Dutse the state capital.
PoliticsRe: Saraki's Meeting With Oyegun And APC Leaders Cancelled Abruptly by DrGabbi(m): 3:11pm On Jun 11, 2015
The drama has been very interesting quite well. To me, the emergence of Saraki is a very good thing to our democracy, a blow to APC though. It will make opposition strong and put the ruling party on her toes. APC does not have a guaranteed long term rule like PDP almost did.

my dad, who is s federal high court judge told me that the judges are complaining over increasing number of unemployed barristers on the street, that it is making the noble profession looks ordinary and with time, people will start disrespecting the profession by the time barristers start settling for meager jobs to make ends meet. they blamed the universities and particularly the law school for graduating barristers higher than the law stipulated for them. may be this mass failure is connected to this. ..just saying sha
Somehow, it makes sense. However, failing students on this basis alone is pointless. There are other ways to tackle massive unemployment of lawyers in this country. #Issorai
EducationRe: Mass Failure In Nigerian Law School by DrGabbi(m): 11:29am On Oct 21, 2014
It calls to question the credibility of the exam and the integrity of the other lawyers degree. Could it be that it is only this set that performed poorly or the other sets were equally bad but enjoyed leniency in the marking system. A serious probe into what went wrong should be made. More so, which kind of examiner would take pride in deliberately failing candidates so massively? #Issorai

I don't know how u will react to this piece!
Graduates of pharmacy do internship for 1 year after 5 yrs of study. Same holds for med. lab. scientists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, doctors, and radiologists BUT graduates of nursing science are denied such privilege in the same health team.
To me is surprising but dat is the reality as of now.
HealthRe: Health Workers Begin Indefinite Strike Today by DrGabbi(m): 12:26pm On Oct 16, 2014
There's no strike where I'm working here in Kano. If there's strike, it's not a strong one. I expect JOHESU to have learnt a thing or two from NMA strike.
